Time of the Second coming
I've wondered about this quite often especially with the movie 2012 released a while back.
What exactly will happen in 2012 and what is it's significance?
Wikipidia defines it as: 2012 (MMXII) will be a leap year starting on a Sunday. In the Gregorian calendar, it will be the 2012th year of the Common Era, or of Anno Domini; the 12th year of the 3rd millennium and of the 21st century; and the 3rd of the 2010s decade.
Lost Mayan predictions have noted it as the possbible second coming, yet in Act 1:7 the Lord clearly states,
"He said to them, It is not for you to become acquianted with and know what time brings [the things and events of time and their definite periods] or fixed years and seasons (their critical niche in time), which the Farther has appointed (fixed and reserved) by His own choice and authority and personal power"
On the site http://2012apocalypse.net/, it clearly brings the book of Revelations into play by saying:
with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of the earth was burnt up, and the third part of
the trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.
Is this the Asteriod 433 Eros, the first discovered Near-Earth asteroid, smashing through our
atmospere? Eros is one of the few NEAs with a maximum
diameter greater than 10 km. It is believed to be larger than
the impactor that created Chicxulub Crater in the Yucatán,
which has been linked to the Apocalypse (extinction) of the
dinosaurs.
According to Roman Catholic tradition, Saint Peter was installed as the first Pope by Jesus Christ. Though the adoption of that name is not canonically barred, it is considered unlikely that any future pope would ever choose the name. Thus, if the name Peter is used, it furthers the accuracy of this prophesy. The Apocalyptic ending of 2012."

A most interesting discussion....doesn't the bible say we believers should be prepared at ALL times? Aren't we supposed to be on watch at ALL times? Who is to say when our Saviour is to return? Maybe in 2012 maybe not but we believers must be ready and such discussions only ready us more so. IMO the end times are approaching no matter what false prophets tell us be ready my friends wash your robes in the blood of our Lord so that they maybe white at the time of judgement. Nuff said.

I am new to the site, but I think we are all wondering where we are on God's timeline. We see the unrest in the Middle East, and the Earthquakes in Japan. I think the one world government is getting closer every day. I don't understand all I am seeing or hearing, but I am certain of one thing.....Our Lord Jesus is still in control! Pray for Isreal, and isreal's prime minister that he will make the right decisions. The United States needs to support Isreal, for God says "I will bless the ones that bless thee, and curse the ones that curse thee" God bless you

The world is in Satans grip there is no doubt of that. Jesus will come and destroy him but for now guess who is causing all this turmoil....we as belivers must remain strong in our faith we must watch and prepare for His return. The world situation is only going to get worse. When God threw out Satan where do you think he went? Satan is the evil behind all the pain, hatred, disasters etc.! Could it be Satan? Jesus will be coming but we just don't know when he will end Satans reign.
