All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

I've heard that Astrology is a sin, and I've heard that it isn't! Which is it? I really like Astrology, and I want to know if it's OK!

Astrology itself isn't a sin, but living your life by what horoscopes say is wrong. Arraging your life around the positions of the stars is wrong. Probably for the reason that it is another person that is telling you what the stars say. I think God makes it very clear that the positioning of the stars has no effect on how we should live our lives.

hi Veronika

you are refreshing, that was fantastic, i was thinking of answering Charlie, but when i read your answer, you said it all right on and very clear, you may or may not know, astrology and santa claus, are cut from the same mold, in that, they are both lies, santa is a fat slob, who knows all, sneaking into houses through a 12" or 3" hole depending if you have a regular fire place or gas, either way the whole story is a lot of hot air, at the same time astrology, is based on the earth being the center of the universe, there fore every thing rotates around the earth, and this is what they make there predictions from, well recent history proves every thing rotates around the sun, not the earth, not only that but they also base there predictions on chance and generalities, they carefully try to read body language, the demons often play a great roll, etc., one example, to a pregnant women an astrologer says you are going to have a girl/boy, doesn't matter which, 50-50 chance, because if the astrologer is right, they say, see i was right, (using this situation and person along with others, they predict, right in to build there credit, in order to trap more people, and make more money, one such person is Jean Dixon they say 65% of her predictions are true, ( ? ) what about the 35% that are untrue, who wants to take a chance, now, if, the predictions don't come true, they are non responsive, in other words, they don't apologize asking for forgiveness, they move on to the next person, there is no truth in them, only God knows the future,  here's something that might help your co-worker under stand what she has learned is not true, coming from being a quarter master on a ship for a couple of years, we could navigate on the north star, this is a complicated process, using a Sextant, longitude, and latitude, etc. nowadays use a GPIs, much faster, and better, but the bible says Matthew 2:2 ..."Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him." niv, it says the star in the East, not the north, it was a special star, it was Jesus star, this was approximately 2 years after His birth, when they arrived, this had to be a moving star in order to guide them for two years, (as in the old testament when God lead the people, in a cloud by day, and a pillar of fire by night,) a simple example, try to walk for two years across the mountains from Vancouver B.C. to end up in Banff, (guessing you could get that far in that time) following the north star, without modern day  instruments, a absolute impossibility, or walk anywhere on earth, for 2 years in unknown territory without roads that you know, or, have information that will take you to your destiny, you won't end up in the right place following the north star, otherwise no one would ever get loss all one would have to do is follow the north star, hopes this will help your friend, let me know, your brother in Christ.

hi Susan

yes we are sinners, but when we come to Jesus, repenting of our sins, he comes into our hearts, and forgives us, putting our sins as far as the east is from the west, they never meet, we are now saints, made perfect in Gods eyes, now we are saints who may sin , but God brings us back to repentance, when we do he forgives us,  we are in the process of being made into the likeness of Jesus, therefore we forgive those who sin against us because Jesus forgave the multitude of our sins, example suppose i told only one lie, saying evolution was true, suppose that lie cost me a dollar, i told one person they told one who told one, and on and on, how much would that one lie cost me ? the parable of the man who owed the king money in todays value about $10,000,000.00 the king forgave the debt, after he went and found someone who owed him $ 200.00 in todays money, he didn't forgive the person, but had him thrown into prison until he should pay back all he owed, the rest of the parable describes the fate of the first man, we as Christians need to forgive those who sin against us as Jesus forgave us, for in fact we are now new creatures, if we love Jesus we will obey him, no matter how hard our flesh fights against us, because our spirit is now alive, if we obey the Spirit we will reap life eternal, if we obey the flesh we reap destruction, so we are now saints, so we need to live like it, as you did, i, also came from a life of hell, so sometimes it is hard to obey God as my flesh doesn't want to, but the more i die to self the better it is the more i trust Jesus the better it is, the more i love the better it is, although love is a difficult one for me, as i never grew up with love, but God is still changing me, i came to know Jesus back in 1980, i hope this is encouraging to you
