All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Not to sound crazy but since I was little I have been able to feel/sense when someone was there that shouldn't be.  My whole family has.  When I walk in to a house I can sense if there is someone or something there and whether it is good or bad.  Recently my husband and I became caretakers at our church and are being followed around when we are there.  My husband feels it, I feel it and my son can feel it.  My husband always thought I was crazy until after his car accident last year, his father came to our house and stayed there for 8 months.  I think he was watching over Cory.

I have been told be other Christians that there is no such thing, there cant be.  Then what is it?

Hey crajfort, hope all is well with you. Just wanted to remind you that we as Christians have been givin authority over demonic spirits. This is a gift we recieved from Christ himslef, so there is never anything to be affraid of, we already have victory by the cross! Did the deciples not cast out demons also? We are children of God and as such should not only remember to walk in the spirit but also to walk in the spirit with authority!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Praise Jesus for being so good to us Amen!
First - what is paranormal activity according to the dictionary? The most common definition is: not scientifically explainable : supernatural.

Let's set a firm and biblical foundation before continuing on with this topic.
The main claim to paranormal activity is the existents of "Ghosts."

Main Entry: 1ghost
Pronunciation: \ˈgōst\
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English gost, gast, from Old English gāst; akin to Old High German geist spirit, Sanskrit heḍa anger
Date: before 12th century
1 : the seat of life or intelligence : soul
2 : a disembodied soul; especially : the soul of a dead person believed to be an inhabitant of the unseen world or to appear to the living in bodily likeness
3 : spirit, demon4 a : a faint shadowy trace b : the least bit
5 : a false image in a photographic negative or o... http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/ghost

Do "Ghost" truly exist? Yes and No!

Definition #2 - a disembodied soul; especially: the soul of a dead person believed to be an inhabitant of the unseen world or to appear to the living in bodily likeness. Is this accurate according to scripture? Nope! We have only two cases (as far as I can remember, please correct me if I am wrong) in the bible where a ghost, according to the aforementioned definition, are mentioned.

The first one is the prophet Samuel being conjured up by a local medium.

1 Samuel 28:
[ Saul Consults a Medium ] 3 Now Samuel had died, and all Israel had lamented for him and buried him in Ramah, in his own city. And Saul had put the mediums and the spiritists out of the land.
11 Then the woman said, “Whom shall I bring up for you?” And he said, “Bring up Samuel for me.”
12 When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out with a loud voice. And the woman spoke to Saul, saying, “Why have you deceived me? For you are Saul!”

15 Now Samuel said to Saul, “Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?” And Saul answered, “I am deeply distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God has departed from me and does not answer me anymore, neither by prophets nor by dreams. Therefore I have called you, that you may reveal to me what I should do.”

The Christian family has never been in agreement whether this was really Samuel or just a demon/fallen angel impersonating Samuel.

The other appearance of dead people among the living was during the Transfiguration:

Mark 9:4
And Elijah appeared to them with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus. 5 Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here; and let us make three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah”—

The first case of "Ghost" is very debatable and the second here on the transfiguration of Christ is a very unique occasion.

All that to say this - We can safely state that there is no such thing as "REAL GHOST" THE WORD SAYS:
Philippians 1:18-22
21 For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. 22 But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell.

WHY is it gain to die? BECAUSE:
2 Corinthians 5:6
So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. 8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.

THERE are no Real Ghosts. It is appointed for us to live and then to die and then the judgment. No room in scripture for roaming spirits.

So how do we explain the humongous paranormal activity that has been recorded throughout the ages? Extremely simple:

The priority of demons is to get our focus off the truth, as long as we are preoccupied with fables, tales, superstitions etc. they are succeeding in their job. They keep humanity entertain in anything other than God.

So what about all the reports around the world, the reports of people seeing relatives etc. Well demons are familiar with our lives. A third of the angelic host felled along with Satan. We don't really know if that is millions or billions or a greater number but there must be a huge amount of them on the earth.

REMEMBER THEIR MAIN PRIORITY IS TO CONFUSSE. TO STILL (THE TRUTH PRIMARILY), TO KILL (THE TRUTH PRIMARILY) AND DESTROY (THE TRUTH PRIMARILY).

Any ways fallen angels/demons are familiar with our lives and can impersonate a person and have us thinking that is grandma Chony going hahaha around the house or when a person goes to a medium to ask for uncle Chui hahaha to be conjured up and uncle Chui appears and it's telling them facts about his life or their lives, what is going on then?

Demons that are familiar with those folk’s lives impersonate them to kill, still and destroy the truth and keep people confused
Thanks David, I was actually waiting to hear what you would say on this topic. You are very knowledgable and I look forward to your words. It makes total sense what you are saying and I will be very careful for the ones I know are there. I hate the fact that I can sense them, I wish I couldn't.
Here is a question, can people become 'possessed'? The women that my husband had the affair with, I am sure that she is working on Satan's team. She sets out to destroy lives by making promises and she does destroy people. She is pure evil.

Do I pray for her, cast holy water upon her (not to be funny) or run away from her? I dont want anything to do with this women but she has entangled herself into our lives by now becomin involved with my husbands nephew. She is just bad news all around.

Rachell
hi racheal
hope u dont mind me butting in to what u were saying but this woman will get in ur life any way she can be it through any member of your family

Thank you for your kind words sis. All praise and glory to our king whose word makes the simple wise. :)

I enjoyed reading Jeff's reminder right above my post and Vero's vid is a good one as well. There is no reason for us to fear demons; they can only do what God allows them to do.

This is what has work for me and it has never failed me when I am walking in holiness. Since the Lord is not a respecter of persons I am sure it will be effective for anyone.

Jude 1:9 (New International Version)

9But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!"

If you smell, hear or see them immediately say: "The Lord rebuke you!"

>>Here is a question, can people become 'possessed'?

The short answered is yes. We see it all through scripture. Is not like people are hotels, which demons can check in and checkout from though. A person has to be involved in something majorly wrong for God to even allow unbelievers to be posses. It is a common thing though. I personally believe that millions of people throughout the world are posses for various reasons.

Before you set out to do Spiritual war, definitely pray, make prayer, bible study and worship a way of life for you. No demon should keep you out of parts of your own home, but do examine your walk, that you may not be doing anything that opens doors for them.

Have you ever visited a Christian church apart from the Roman Catholic Church? This is just a question out of curiosity sis, so there is no hidden agenda by my asking.

Blessings to you and your home.
david my ex partner was possessed and the things i went through because of it and the things im still going through. youre totally right, i think thats the problem with these people who suffer from severe mental illness due to drugs and alcohol abuse, drugs and alcohol is a gateway to let in satan. people who have not been christened or baptised are wide open too for such tings to invade them.
like you said they have to be or have previously been involved in something serious, in a state of mortal sin as us catholics call it.
i have not very nice things upstairs sometimes and i am too scared to go up on my own come 11 of an eve and im nervous bout being up there in the day when theres noone else in the house
Clare,

I am sure that there are people with all kinds of mental illnesses who do suffer from demonic oppression and/or possession, but I would also be extremely careful to believe (I do know you are not saying that, but I mentioned it here just to make that clear) that everyone who suffers from such illnesses has demonic issues. Some people are simply ill due to natural causes and consequences of living in a fallen world.

Drugs and alcohol are ideal gateways for demons to oppress and possess people since demons are extremely conning in the ways they operate. They do present themselves to folks who are under the influence of any mind altering substance more readily than to the person that does not use, because a great deal of users are around folks who are demon posses and worship Satan, but also because disclosing themselves to a person who is under the influence makes for them an ideal situation. These folks will always question the authenticity of the experience because they were under the influence and always have doubts if the experience was real or not. Of course if they are posses by hanging around people who are then the experience is undeniable, but the majority are not and some do hallucinate as a consequence of drug use, but many do experience real demonic activity.

Demons don't really want humanity to know of their existence since a human being that is confronted with the reality of the existence of demons will automatically realize that if demons exist than God exist. They know and understand that if they manifest their presence boldly, those experiencing such disclosure will most likely understand that there is more to life than the physical. They do not want that to be the case. They actually have taken a great deal of care to make humanity believe that they do not exist and instead have given human kind the boogie man, Ghost, Aliens etc...

>>I have not very nice things upstairs sometimes and I am too scared to go up on my own come 11 of an eve and im nervous bout being up there in the day when theres noone else in the house

I pray you are not offended by the following for is not my intentions to offend you my friend and sister, but I am obligated by the Love of the Lord to share the truth with you since only the truth can set us free. You should not be afraid of any demon/fallen angel. They are actually beautiful in appearance I think (Adam and eve did not change in appearance by the fall), they know what we fear and they portray that, but they are not horrible. They are angels, fallen angels, but angels. The point I want to make here is that when you know who God is (As much as He has reveal of Himself to us) and you know who we are through Him then we understand that demons/fallen angels should want nothing to do with us. That does not mean they will not be allowed by God to do some things to keep us exercising our faith, but it does mean that a child of God living in holiness does not fear a creation that the Spirit of God in us can cast out without a problem. All that to say this. You have to get to know who you serve and who you are in Him. You need to spend time in the word and fellowship in a church that aligns to the word of God.

Be blessed and a blessing.
dear david,
id have to agree to disagree because fallen angels are actually the ones that were cast dowt to hell from heaven by God, satan and his followers, its all written in the bible the book of revelations,
they are full of hate. nothing in hell can be either good or beautiful
their one purpose is to battle for our souls, they pull us away from God so we can join him in hell. thats why there is so much sin and hate in this world because it is Godless. nothing that scares us, encourages us to do wrong, makes us in any way shape or form act in a negative way, can come from God. it comes from satan and his demons. evil cannot be beautiful.
however before satan was cast down to hell he was, in fact the most beautiful and intelligent of all angels.
God bless you
Beloved Clare,

Satan and the other fallen angels are not cast into hell yet. Revelations is letting us know of some events that will take place in the future, prophecy.

Just like the birth and death of our Lord was prophesied, the future of Satan and his followers has been foretold. Satan and his followers cannot be in two places at the same time. So they are either in hell or on the earth, for now they are among us, but the day will come when the serpent is cast in the lake of fire.

Can a very handsome man be extremely evil? Can a beautiful woman be evil? Of course. The point I was trying to make is that fallen angels might be very beautiful in appearance, but they portray what we fear. I really do not know since the word does not let us know if their appearance change.

Now they may very well very extremely ugly in appearance as consequence of their fall, but I highly doubt that.

Pray that the Lord guides you to a good Christian church Clare. He will if you ask Him.

Blessings
hi dear david, we have quite a difference of opinon, thats the wonderful thing about our country, freedom of opinions.
God bless you dearly my friend
clare
Hi Clare,

There is a difference between 'Hades' and 'Hell'. Hades is a temporary place where unbelievers go when they die (the first death). 'Hell' is the final place for all unbelievers (a future place) which is also called the lake of fire. This will be determined at the 'Great White Throne'Judgement.

Rev 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and I saw the one who was sitting on it. The earth and sky fled from his presence, but they found no place to hide.
Rev 20:12 I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God's throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to the things written in the books, according to what they had done.
Rev 20:13 The sea gave up the dead in it, and death and the grave [fn] gave up the dead in them. They were all judged according to their deeds.
Rev 20:14 And death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death--the lake of fire.
Rev 20:15 And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.

These scriptures refer to hades:
(Matthew 11:23, 16:18; Luke 10:15, 16:23; Acts 2:27-31),

Hades is separated by a great chasm Luke 16:26.

Prior to Jesus dying and His resurrection.. believers would go to a place called 'Abrahams' Bosom'. Now believers go to 'paradise when they die. When believers die they are with Jesus right away.
2 Corinthians 5:6-8
Unbelievers went to sheol ( In the NT it is called hades)--which for now remains unchanged, until the Great White Throne Judgement.

Therefore, hell is a future place.

If you would like, we can open up a whole new forum discussion on this as it is a big topic to study and understand.

Blessings, Carla
CARLA
i Think that that would be a brilliant idea as you say it is a HUGE topic covering several different topics, can we start one just about this on the main forum.
loads of people have different thoughts ideas and beliefs so it will be very interesting to read them
God bless
