How do Jews accept Jesus?
In the New Testament it states that the eyes of the Jewish people are blinded in order to give the gentiles a chance to accept Christ. But it also says there will be a remnant of Jews who will be the first grouping to be saved. A Jewish friend recently died. I tried many times to witness Jesus to her, but because of her religious upbringing, she was strictly forbidden to accept Jesus. She felt she was being a traitor to even hear me speak of Him. She was a wonderful person, yet she died without knowing Jesus. If the Jewish people have blindfolds on their eyes, how could they possibly accept Jesus prior to death and be saved? Will they be given another chance even though they have died?

Yes, we all know "Completed Jews", some of which were the first to be saved at the time of Christ and some of which are alive now and have been saved for many years. I am wondering when the period was that the eyes of the Jewish ppl were blinded to give the gentiles a chance to come in, because with every Jewish person I have witnessed to, they are adamant that their faith forbids them to see Jesus as God's son, their Messiah. And they say that they are also forbidden to read the New Testament- that they are not allowed to ever bring it into their homes. Also, they have told me that it is total blasphemy for them to ever say that Jesus is the Son of God. It seems as if the eyes of these Jews are still blinded. Wondering what others have experienced when witnessing to Jewish ppl?

Only the Holy Spirit can reveal the meaning of the scriptures to us. The verses you shared, and many others, have never been revealed to me fully. I expect this as none of us can understand every scripture until we see Christ face to face. Not sure if I am understanding you correctly, because in one place you seem to say that some of the Jews have been saved from Christ's time until now while giving the gentiles a chance to come in, and then you say the time is now for the Jews to freely choose Christ. Yet if some Jews, and I would say most, believe it is a mortal sin to acknowledge anyone other then God the Father to be God,.completely unable to see Jesus and the Holy Spirit as God also, then it seems like most Jews are very much still blinded. Maybe, I just did not understand your wording as you know sometimes our words do not come across clearly to the reader on the net since we each speak in our own ways that sometimes do not communicate.
Yes, there is Jews for Jesus and there are plenty of Jews who are not in Jews for Jesus who are saved. It seems as if most are blinded while some are not. Some can open their minds to truth, while others seem incapable of challenging their Jewish upbringing. Of course, one could say this about someone of any religion or cult, but it seems especially so of the Jews, which is why I have wondered if all Jews are free to see Jesus today or if only a remnant are able to see who He is today.
Another thing is, most of the Jewish people I have met are extremely materialistic, not that non-Jews aren't too, and it is as if $$$ is their God. Certainly this makes for spiritual blindness.
Can you tell me how to get to the SWW site you spoke of? I'm sure that would be a very interesting education on what the Jewish ppl on there think and believe. I wasn't always a witness to the degree I am now. My ministry at one time was being a mother. But now, the Lord is sending me full force into witnessing and it takes quite an education to understand the strongholds in those I witness to of all types. Ppl of other denominations and cults at least seem to know of Jesus and the gospel, but the Jews I've encountered
are so totally blind as they believe it is total sin to them to acknowledge Jesus. They sometimes say he was a good prophet, but certainly is not the Son of God. They also seem to confuse the words gentile and Christian and think all gentiles are Christians, thus they believe it was Christians who killed the Jews in the Holocaust.
Interesting that the SWW Jews are pulling Christians away from Christ. Don't know how they could do that if a person is truly saved. Similarly, I have a neighbor, and know others who were raised in church, who are converting to Judaism???
The job of a witness is not an easy one...ugh!

TY both for your insights. What my spirit is telling me as a result of our discussion is that although the scriptures seem to say that only a remnant of Jews have been able to see, it is not because God prevented the rest (the majority) from seeing, rather it is because most refuse to put truth over tradition. And for that matter, it is the same thing with gentiles, for as the scriptures declare, the road to Heaven is narrow and few travel therein, but the road to Hell is well populated. We each have choosers (free will) and for those who do not choose truth, they will be imprisoned in fear, doubt and unbelief. That is a sad state to be in and one that leads to eternal damnation.

Like Linda has said, the time for accepting Jesus is here and now. Scripture also tells us that if any one of the Jewish people turn to Jesus, they will be saved...the veil will be lifted:
2Cr 3:15 But to this day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their heart;
2Cr 3:16 but whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.

I have enjoyed reading all the responses. It seems by your last comment that you have been enlightened correctly.

It is important to understand what is meant by the verses that tell us of God hardening someone's heart or in this case of the partial hardness of the Jewish Nation.
How do we explained that God harden Pharaoh’s heart, does that mean that God created evil in Pharos’s heart? We know the Holy Spirit restrains the world from being as evil as it can be. God can harden the heart by one of two ways. By going into the heart of man and creating evil or by simply removing the restraining power of the Holy Spirit, which is what I believe the bible means when it speaks of God hardening the heart. Romans chapter one states that He gave them up to their lustful ways. He is passing judgment over them and will allow them to be as evil as they desire to be according to His perfect and good pleasure.
"But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him: That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? And to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed? Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again, He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him" (John 12:37-41).
They were blinded because they saw the miracles Jesus did before them, yet they refused to believe. It's very important to keep this fact in mind; they SAW His miracles, yet they would not believe.

I think you understand what you are saying and I agree that only God's Spirit can enlighten us to a full understanding of the word. We do understand as well that God works through us also.
Ephesians 4
11It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
