A brother in Christ shared this vidio Called , 'There must Be a Greater Yes,' and it really spoke to my Heart about prayers that seem to go unanswered and how we are to respond as Christians when the answers to our prayers are delayed. Introduction;
In Jeremiah 6:16 the prophet Jeremiah wrote;
This is what the Lord says; stand at the crossroads and look; Ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is and walk in it and you shall find rest for your souls.
It goes on to say that they would not walk in it and suffered the consequences.
I want to give you a few things to consider when you find yourself at those cross road moments of your life.

The choices we make at the crossroad moments of our live will determine the destiny of our lives.
Examples of crossroad moments
Illness in our own lives or a family member
Death of a close relative
Loosing a Job
Children who go astray
Break up of a marriage
Having to relocate
Having a pastor retire at your church
No matter what has brought you to your cross road today your choices at the crossroad will determine your destiny
At my own crossroad moments that I have had to face this last year I have with Gods grace discovered some things that I want to share with you that might help you when you too face these times of decision.
a. Take the moral high road,
Own up to your wrong doing; be honest, instead of blaming others for your circumstances. Maybe you are not responsible for what has brought you to this crossroad and you don’t even want to be there, But God demands that we walk in the light as He is in the light and do what is right.

b. Get rid of anger;
Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, quarreling, and slander be put away from you, along with all hatred.Eph.4:31
Don’t be like the rattlesnake that gets so mad he ends up biting himself.
When we face crossroads they can be very confusing times, holding on to anger only complicates things.
Holding on to anger lead to self pity which is Satan’s favorite tool to destroy us with.
c. It is a miracle of grace to walk in forgiveness.
In the natural it is impossible to forgive sometimes; but God pours His love into our heart and gives us the grace to forgive. Romans 5:5
At your crossroad you will never choose the right road without forgiveness.
Choose to be a lover of people a man who forgives others as he has been forgiven and you will be on the right path

d. Don’t Live In a Defensive mode
The word says that mans judgments are trivial.
It matters more what God knows about you than what man thinks about you. We must live in obedience to the Lord no matter what.
e. Only through a vital passionate relationship with Christ can we know for sure we are on the right path
The first step might be that we come to know the Lord at the crossroad; crossroads are Gods way of getting our attention.
Maybe you’re at a crossroad and you have no idea where to go from here because you don’t know Jesus.
f. The crossroad will cause us to stop compromising
Those things we compromise to keep, we eventually loose. We have so many examples in scripture of what happens when someone compromise. Compromising could very well be what has brought you to your crossroad today.
g. Remember God is not as interested in the destination as He is with the journey;
The process is where He is working. Don’t get caught up in the destination. God is a eternal God, He sees our yesterdays and our tomorrows as today.

h. You are not alone in your crossroad moment
Crossroad moments can be some of the hardest times we will ever face in our lives.
1. He will never leave us or forsake us in our time of need.
2. Take your time and seek the Lord, find His grace and His help in your time of need.
3. He is a faithful God. He will not forsake us.

HOW DO WE DEAL WITH LOSS IN A CHRISTIANS LIFE?
We are facing loss throughout our lives and it can be hard to cope with for many. As christians we face loss differently than those who are in the world without The Holy Spirit in thier lives.
In my own life I have expienced a lot of loss and have learned to handle it the best I can and it has made me into a better person. Lets
Lets talk about how God has help us deal with loss and also about the mistakes we made also so we can help each other to better deal with such a difficult subject.

HOW DO WE COPE WITH AN ONGOING CRONIC PHYSICAL CONDITION AS CHRISTIANS?
I have known the Lord for 33 years and I have come down with a neuromuscular genetic disease that has for the last 2 years completely turned my life upside down. I believe in using every thing medically available to me. I also believe in the power of prayer. I myself have prayed and have seen God perform miracles for myself and my family numerous times. I still am pursuing both medical and Spiritual in regards to my health issues. I on the other hand have had opportunities to be a witness for Christ through this whole process and have grown in my relationship with God and others.
I have noticed that Christians have a hard time dealing with how to support people who are in my position. They want to hear the good report but not the bad one.
How can we as Christians learn to deal with these kinds of issues better?

Delete I think this is a great question. My best friend and accountability partner has dealt with pain for years due to (until recently) an unknown cause. Many of her Christian friends started out sympathetic but after so many years past with the same complaint and no known medical reason for it they became judgmental toward her. Telling her she was a hypochondriac. It caused problems in her marriage and even her Pastor who was providing marriage counseling was hard on her. She questioned herself, her faith, her marriage, and God. Doctors just kept putting her on antibiotics and couldn’t seem to tell her what was wrong. In desperation after seven years of battling this she finally told her doctor she wanted a hysterectomy. They didn’t want to do it because there was no medical reason to. She pushed and they finally agreed. When they went to remove her uterus it filled with urine. They discovered that somehow her uterus had fused with her bladder. She is still in recovery.
Being her accountability partner during all of this was a very difficult thing for me. I knew she wasn’t making it up but I had no idea how to help her other than to pray. When she would go into a depression and start questioning God and her faith all I knew to do was confirm that God loves her and that she is in his hands and that there is a season for everything. I tried to help her see that God could use this but she frankly didn’t care. She didn’t want to be used in this way. When her marriage was struggling and her husband was angry she wondered why God would let this continue when it could destroy her marriage. I stayed with her and prayed with her but it really was difficult. In the end all I could do was suffer and struggle along with her. Pray with her and let her know that I would be by her side no matter what. It was all I knew to do but I wondered myself if it was enough.

Delete I thank God for those he has given to me to walk with me through my struggle. It is very humbling to allow others into your struggles. One time in a church service a young man came up to me that I didn’t know and ask if He could pray with me. After he prayed He told me that God did not want me to stand alone any longer. The word was exactly; STAND NO MORE ALONE. I have obeyed the Lord and have found great strength from the family of God in my struggle. Some how my weakness enables me to be used in a greater capacity for Christ to also help others to stand no more alone.

You know David I see how placing these things into practice in my life has led me into the blessings of God. I have been over taken with the blessing of God in so many ways. I have everything replaced 10 fold that I lost during my great trial that lasted for almost 4 years. My greatest blessing being a wife who is like a pearl of great price to me. It is only 2 weeks ago that we eloped and were married by my pastor and his wife. I want to pinch myself some times because it feels like a dream.

Bob,
I know that we must struggle for the GLORY of GOD that HE may rise us up to be more like him. For the Brothers and Sisters in CHRIST, the LORD has left us with the guidance and Promises that we needed to know before we were even conceived. I've studied on suffering and have found so many scriptures on what to do for the one suffering and what to do as the one that is suffering. I pray this will be of help for you as well as for the one who knows not what to say. I have learned from these passages. I pray that everyone will as well.
SUFFERING—agony, affliction, or distress; intense pain or sorrow. Suffering has been part of the human experience since man’s fall into sin (Genesis 3). The Psalms, one-third of which are laments, include graphic descriptions of suffering, including Psalm 22, a prophecy of Christ’s suffering.
The Bible makes it clear that some suffering is the result of the evil impact of sin in the world, resultant from the *Fall of man (Gen. 3:16-19). Some suffering is related to persecution and hardship, and a right response can shape and refine the character of the believer (1 Pet. 1:6-7; 5:10). The Book of Hebrews declares that Jesus learned obedience by the things which He suffered (Heb. 5:8) and that His suffering was key to perfecting His full provision for our need (Heb. 2:10).
The experience of suffering can lead to a fresh demonstration of God’s power and grace in our lives (2 Cor. 12:7). Those who suffer learn a sensitivity and ability to comfort others who are suffering (2 Cor. 1:3-6).
Suffering often occurs through persecution and tortures people suffer for the sake of Christ and His kingdom (1 Pet. 2:18-22; Phil. 1:29; 2 Thess. 1:5; 2 Tim. 3:12). To do so is to suffer with Christ, and to enter into the “fellowship of His sufferings” (Phil. 3:10).
Christ’s suffering, endured for the sake of those He redeems, is a promise of available release from suffering, with grace and power to go through suffering unto deliverance, since “By His stripes we are healed” (see Isaiah’s portrayal of the Suffering Servant as both our sin-bearer and sufferer in our place, Is. 53:5).
The believer is not promised exemption from suffering, but we do have God’s promise of triumph through trial (Rom. 8:28-37), healing when sick (1 Pet. 2:24; James 5:13-16) and deliverance from evil (2 Pet. 2:9; Matt. 6:13). This confidence is bequeathed to us as a redemptive resource through Christ: “Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God” (1 Pet. 3:18). He not only has redeemed us from sin, but His redemption affords a resource of victory over or through suffering.

Thanks Steven, today someone in sunday school said we are captive of hope. It is amazing that even in our deepest struggle there is hope.

Jason Upton's song, "In the Silence" contains some spontaneous worship that truly reflects worshipping the LORD in spirit and in truth.
I remember a time when I came to the point where there was no more words I could say any longer.
In the midst of the silence there He met with me and consoled my soul and assured me that indeed there is a greater yes. In His presence all my anxiety and fears disappeared and I was able to rest in his promises for me.

AS I have been ministering and getting ministered to today, I have been listening to a song by Casting crown, the Alter and the door.
I have been at the alter many times, and left out the door never to follow through with what God showed me at the alter. Maybe this is the greater yes,
