All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

I need to hear from members on AAG, what they understand by the terms "Body"  "Soul"  and "Spirit"  Let's look forward to a lively discussion as to your impression and beliefs on the subject.

"Do men and women possess three entities, namely a "Body" that possesses a "Soul" and a "Spirit"?

You have made a good start Linda and of course you may add in a link and may I add, "Soul (Linda) thou hast much goods laid up in store for us. I am sure that we will take our ease, drink the "good" wine and be merry?" I do believe as others come in, there will be a lot of Bible searching, so get your Concordance ready.
Lotsa Christian Blessings
Ron.
Hi there ????? Sarah - Linda - Rhinda,

I enjoyed the link you listed above and would recommend it to others. But place yourself where you cannot be disturbed, cause it's slightly heavy reading and long.

From the names, Sarah - Linda - Rhinda I can only guess that you have been at the "New wine"

Tnx

Hi brother Ron,

I need to hear from members on AAG,

Awesome I am glad to be of service on this site

what they understand by the terms "Body"

Body- Flesh

"Soul"

Soul- hence Your soul is mine (strength, think of gaining more power with a soul as a soul being power)
ie. more flowers larger bouquet
more soul more power

and "Spirit"
you're unique spirit that God created you to be

ie. Prince of "Peace" spirit of Peace
or Princess of "Love" spirit of Love

Let's look forward to a lively discussion as to your impression and beliefs on the subject.

Prayed on this with each word I placed :) <3 I am very much in tuned with God and Jesus

you may ask them yourself God wants to hear you :) <3

I am sure Jesus is waiting to talk to you in the silence of your room :) <3

"Do men and women possess three entities, namely a "Body" that possesses a "Soul" and a "Spirit"?

Yes, who created humans?

what created a soul?

why do you have a spirit?

The Lord Bless all on AAG

God Bless you always :) <3 amen

Lots of Love in Christ :)
Hi Stacey,
Yes I speak to God day and night, and He told me that He loves you too.
Ron
The Soul (Nephesh) is made up of both Breath of life (spirit) and flesh. / Gen.2:7/ Ecc.12:6-7/ 2 Cor. 5:7-10/ ....

nephesh is generally a living thing (with breath). Note a spirit is living (life) before it enters the flesh. This is the only way flesh becomes a living thing (soul). However Spirit is in corruptible and flesh is corruptible. In this context I dont think anyone should try to consider this anything like unto Elohim ("the trinity"). Since two of these will passaway. There is evidence that Spirits even have a defacto substance though.

Woul i be right to think this question rises from looking at Gen. 1:26? Without attempting to cover many subjects in one post I will just say this verse is to be seen in context with the ages. After that, I would ask who is YHVH speaking to!!! We were all in that breath of life before flesh birth.

Elohim means Devine Judgement and is the Plural form of El. It important to note the differ Hebrew titles. Elohim is differ than saying YHVH the Father (or Adonai). Elohim is translated "God". The oneness that bares record in Heaven. One that embraces the Godhead sees the Godhead as haveing different relations and or offices. Example: Creator, Healer, ... Yet this plural is also singular in context (oneness)
Deut. 6:4 The LORD(singular) your Elohim(plural) is One LORD(singular)
compare that to
1 Jn.5:7 (KJV) Here we break this plural into 3 offices (Not Persons/ There is only ONE person within Elohim ^Christ).

Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. However when we partake of that oneness that is Elohim we are a part of the many membered body. I see need in understanding what a soul, spirit, and flesh are. We consist of these three but these three dont make us who we are spiritually or will they always be a part of us.
Hi Gad,
Thanks for your reply.
This discussion was not built around Genesis 1:26.

I wonder of you could place a little more clarity on your statement" "Since two of these will pass away"
1. At what stage?
2. For eternity or?
3 What will be left?

Tnx
Ron
your soul is left your body dies (whenever God says its time to leave the flesh) and your spirit moves on
Hi Linda,
I am also having difficulty with Gad's input.
Go for it Gad.

Both Linda and I have sobered up now. Hopefully we will see clearer on your next input.
Ron
OK thanks Linda,
The above link would certainly entertain Christians from the S.D.A faith.
Hi Linda,
I am sure that the last link you posted settled the Soul sleep for you.
It was an excellent article on that subject, short, sweet and to the point.

Ron
Hi Linda
If you were waiting to have your body reclaimed from the grave, plus all the positives that go with it, I think you would be just as eager waiting for the Rapture then just as you are now and also cry: "How Long O Lord?"
That is my present cry now.
Ron
Hi bro Gad578

yes

God has a plan for us greater than we think, though we may have our own

This is the only way flesh becomes a living thing (soul).
hmm
However Spirit is in corruptible and flesh is corruptible.
What do you mean? like your spirit can not be fluxed with? yes with the body you can hurt yourself

In this context I dont think anyone should try to consider this anything like unto Elohim ("the trinity"). Since two of these will passaway.

What two things will pass away? Spirit and Flesh?

There is evidence that Spirits even have a defacto substance though.
where is the evidence?

Woul i be right to think this question rises from looking at Gen. 1:26? Without attempting to cover many subjects in one post I will just say this verse is to be seen in context with the ages.

I see how you are applying it to modern context and content

After that, I would ask who is YHVH speaking to!!! We were all in that breath of life before flesh birth.
I get you coo

amen oneness with the LORD

Yes one body in Christ

Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit.
yes, but people do not realize it God works through us hence "You are like a guardian angel"

However when we partake of that oneness that is Elohim we are a part of the many membered body.
right on like the Holy Holy Holy Power of the Trinity , of God.

I see need in understanding what a soul, spirit, and flesh are.
yes i see as well, when I learned this the first time, for some reason it didn't surprise me

We consist of these three but these three dont make us who we are spiritually or will they always be a part of us.

What do you think happens when you are asleep and you have surrendered your whole heart body mind and soul up to God?

Lots of <3 to you in Christ you have a good understanding or the power of the Trinity and what it means :) <3

Hope to hear more from you take care!
