All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you (Luke 6:27-28).

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse (Romans 12:14).

We work hard with our own hands. When we are cursed, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it (1 Corinthians 4:12).

Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord. On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head." Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good (Romans 12:17-21).

Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing (1 Peter 3:9).

Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness. Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble (1 John 2:9-10).

Right on sis Loren,

Indeed how can we not show mercy to the blind when we have been forgiven of so much.
I know all this in my heart and in my head but I still have trouble with this aspect of christian living. How do you just let go of the wrong that has been done to you? I mean I don't really hate the person but I dont love them either. There has been so much drama and fighting and its not fair to the ones around us. (I am talking about one specific person) How do you let go and let God???? Any advice?????
Hey sis Angel,

Matthew 6:12
And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.

Matthew 6:14
“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

Matthew 6:15
But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

TMatthew 18:21
[ The Parable of the Unforgiving Servant ] Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?”
23 Therefore the kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. 24 And when he had begun to settle accounts, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents. 25 But as he was not able to pay, his master commanded that he be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and that payment be made. 26 The servant therefore fell down before him, saying, ‘Master, have patience with me, and I will pay you all.’ 27 Then the master of that servant was moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt.
28 “But that servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii; and he laid hands on him and took him by the throat, saying, ‘Pay me what you owe!’ 29 So his fellow servant fell down at his feet[a] and begged him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay you all.’[b] 30 And he would not, but went and threw him into prison till he should pay the debt.

We have been forgiven so much, how can we not forgive others, even if they do not ask for forgiveness. Unforgivenes Hurts the person stuck in unforgiveness in all kinds of negative ways.
So when I forgive others who have hurt me, inspite of myself and my feelings, its another way for me to die to self and let God shine through my actions and my words.
You got it sista. :)
I finally understand why i need to forgive. Its to show God that I'm completely dedicated to Him by obeying his commands and to show the world the light that he has given me and his forgiveness. I get it!! Thanks
Have you asked the Lord to forgive you for reporting her?
