All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Hey, my dear family in Lord Jesus, this is Cheyenne. I have asked a couple of wise sisters, Maggie, Ruth, and Grace, these questions I have wondered recently.....It is important to me and I know it is a hard question, but I want to know what you all think.

I have spoken to a Catholic priest recently, and he gave me advice in how I can speak to Jesus through prayer....He said:
-To take deep breaths,
-Pray to the Holy Spirit to guide you,
-Then imagine being in your favorite place (mine being Black Hill forests,
or the Northern seashore of white sand and jagged black rocks with a small foaming waterfall through them....like I dream Heaven may look like),
-Use all your senses to imagine this place,
-Then let Jesus in there, in this place in your heart where He lives,
-Then talk to Him and listen to the quiet voice of Him answering you and let Him comfort you.

I have done this several times during my time for prayer and feel much more relaxed....but I wonder.

I feel I do recieve answers from Jesus from the Sprit, but I worry if it is really Jesus answering me or it is me only thinking of what I want to hear....

I would have these thoughts flow after I would ask a question to Jesus: "Trust in your heart, I will show you the answer in time, Trust in me and you have pleased me, I will never leave you and you belong to me always"

. I have also felt the urge to immediately stop crying sometimes and even a cleansing and comforting feeling within me after I pray and cry to God. I would have those thoughts of "I have never left you, and never will" and "You have always been my child"

.....Do you think it is really the answers from Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit, or am I making myself think these thoughts?

Is this the quiet voice of the Holy Spirit from my heart?

Hi Cheyenne,

Every good thought that you receive during and after your prayers you may fully accept as coming from God.
Every negative thought, you may be assured, comes from the demonic world in order to break you down
Therefore with the added thoughts given below you may have full confidence that God is right by you listening as you pray, therefore accept the good thoughts as coming from God Himself.

The Lord promised that He would never leave us nor forsake us. Hebrews 13:5 This promise is not made just for certain times in your life, But in whatever you do and wherever you are and in whatever circumstances you find yourself.

It is all a matter of faith, believing all of God's promises. "For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us." 2 Cor 1:20

Read how beautifully the Lord comforts us and confirms His love for us. in Mathew 6:25-31.

"Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

You may in full confidence believe every word and promise including every Blessing that the Lord has given us in Scripture;

There is an old chorus that says:

"Every Promise in the Book is mine,
Every chapter every verse every line,
All the Blessings of His Love divine,
Every promise in the book is mine."

Blessings
Ron
It is really hard to answer this question but I believe that if indeed you really prayed
from your heart and the life you lead conform to that of a child of God then I can say boldly that it is really the voice
of the holy spirit.
YESS that is really JS Christ answers. The Voice of Holy Spirit always same with what the Bible says. The Voice of Holy Spirit make us to be closer to JS Christ. The Voice of Holy Spirit make our heart comfort, and happy. Purify our heart from sins.- Jeremiah 29 : 12 -14. But everything from evil make us sins, angry, and keep away from God. (I am sorry 'cause my english is not good) GOD BLESS U
Hello, thank you for replying to me, my siblings in Jesus, it really does mean much to me. I am happy to hear your answers that I believe is Jesus talking to me through the Holy Spirit. Even though I do not always hear the answers, Jesus must still be living in my heart and hears all of my prayers. When I do get these flowing, quiet replies of "You have been my child, and always will be", I can now feel more confident they are from Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and God and not from my own desires. I do feel blessed and it has really made me happy. Thank you all and may our Father God and our forever Lord Jesus bless you all. =)
Dear Cheyenne,

This is also a question I have asked myself. One thing that I have done recently is to write out the conversations I have in my prayer time. What I say...and then what the Holy Spirit is saying.

I love going back over those conversations I have with my Heavenly Father, and I crave more of them...
Also, when you write it out, the enemy can't steal them from your memory, and cause you to question if you really heard God or not.

Blessings, Carla
