From   this scripture do you feel Christians will go through the tribulation period why or why not

http://bible.com/1/mat.24.3-31.kjv And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?  And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.    For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.    And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.    For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.    Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.    And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.    And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.    And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.    But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.    And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.    When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)    Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:    Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:    Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.    And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!    But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:    For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.    And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.    Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.    For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.    Behold, I have told you before.    Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.    For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.    For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.    Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:    And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.    And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

I'm starting to lean towards a mid tribulation approach. I've read verses that seem to suggest that believers will not go through the the tribulation:

Revelation 3:10
Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth.

Revelation 13:8
All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world.

Yet some verses speak of the tribulation before the rapture. So then, what is the tribulation?

Matthew 24
4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.

9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

15 “So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let no one on the housetop go down to take anything out of the house. 18 Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. 19 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! 20 Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again.

22 “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.

1. Already we have many deceivers (vs. 4-5)
2. There are wars all over (vs. 6)
3. Famine has been an issue in many places and tsunamis & earthquakes are occurring (vs. 7)
4. We have Christians being beheaded, sitting in prison (vs. 9)

But those days will be shortened for the elect.

These are the first 6 seals speaking of slayings and Famine and earthquakes.

Revelation 7
9 After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice:

“Salvation belongs to our God,
who sits on the throne,
and to the Lamb.”
11 All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying:

“Amen!
Praise and glory
and wisdom and thanks and honor
and power and strength
be to our God for ever and ever.
Amen!”
13 Then one of the elders asked me, “These in white robes—who are they, and where did they come from?”

14 I answered, “Sir, you know.”

And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

You have those slain told to wait until all the saints join them and here it speaks of those who came out of the tribulation

Then we have the seventh seal and the trumpets, plagues and bowls.

So I'm seeing this as the great tribulation occurs and then the saints are gone and the wrath of God comes.

im a pretrib believer just as God saved noah and others from destruction i feel he will rapture christians before tribulation
