I didn't change it but elaborated further on it, for it seems to me that whether people own a bible, ever read one, or even know it exists, when they hear the message of faith, which is the word of God, they can begin to doubt that message, just as those who are privileged to read the word of God everyday. What I mean is, when we sow the word, it is the word of God, whether we are reading the Scriptures literally or not. Those who hear it, as you said, may receive Jesus and have a simple faith. I was just elaborating on that scenario.

OK, don't know what else to say regarding that. I see the question differently.

I was just responding to what you said regarding those who "never get the opportunity to seek to discern whether it is the Word of God or a word about God. Theirs in many respects is a simple faith, with simple being used in a positive manner."

They have heard God's word. They may not own a bible but they have heard the word of God. I was asking, although they don't have a bible, if they begin to think the message they've heard isn't really the word of God but a word about God, isn't that the same?

No big deal. I'm dopey :) Sorry.

I have been asked if I obey everything in the Bible to which I answer "no." Sometimes Satan is speaking or ones like Job's friends. I seek to obey what God has said and learn from all that is recorded in His Word.

I have always Believed in The Word of God.  When some have thrown the argument about, who wrote the books, when they did write them, and how they have been translated.  For me I have always seen God as Powerful enough to see over these things.  I also follow the Spirit of the Word.  However, we now have so many wonderful translations, where Latin did not translate well with Greek, etc..

The final Truth we can trust in is, God knows our hearts.  The Spirit knows our spirits.  As we study The Word, I believe The Spirit opens our eyes to Truth.  Also, God leads us in the direction He has laid out for us.  The wonderful Protection we have is, verses are backed up by other verses.  God is bigger than man, His Wisdom is not equal or even the same as man's wisdom.  We are Loved and under His Wings for Protection, no matter what we think say or do, God knows our hearts.  He knows what The Spirit has shown us (no matter how you see shown) because He told The Spirit what to show us.  I have complete comfort knowing He knows our hearts.  I hope I answered the questions, in line with how you asked them.
