Closet
Saints, my heart has been troubled so I went into my closet two times this week and prayed to God about what was troubling me. I asked him to forgive any and all my sins I had committed during the week especially when I find myself at work being phony with people that are so caught up in this world. In any case I mean it from my heart, I did not feel any different, my prayers have not been answered I know God does not answer on my time but in his own time. The things I prayed about were not wants, they were needs, God has said in his own words he will supply all our needs. I feel let down, no money, barely any food in the refregriator, a sick mother, disabled sister that I look after I feel there is no end in sight I have been on this road for a long time. What am I during wrong? I know Jesus said walk by faith not by sight. Saints I am troubled, I am holding on to the faith I want turn around but sometimes I hear that small still voice saying keep the faith. The Lord has brought me to far to turnaround. My question is if he (Jesus)feeds the birds, animals,etc why do saints have to wait on things I must be praying wrong or something. Any ideas from anyone of my members would help. Mary Doris

The storm you are in may not be about you. Paul had done nothing wrong to deserve imprisonment or being executed. We live in a fallen world with fallen people all around and an enemy that stands against us. The answer is to simply rest in Him drawing closer every day holding on to HIM and His promises.
What our needs are is based on a subjective view. I mean this to encourage, but it may not come across that way. You have some food ... Praise the Lord for the food you have. You have life ... Praise the Lord for life. Your mother is sick and sister disabled ... Praise the Lord you still have them and that the battle is not over. Try listing all the positive things you have in your life.

a mother
a sister
internet access
and ???

You are right LT I may not have money to pay my bills but I do have some food and my mother is still her here and so is my sister, and I may not have any money to pay all my bills but I do have internet access. Thank You Lord you and I will continue to stay in prayer because the devil is a liar because God Is.....Mary Doris

Mary, first I want to let you know how awesome I think you are for caring for your mother and sister. Being a caregiver and meeting the physical and emotional needs of others is not easy. God is with you every step of the way though it sometimes feels He isn't. I know you could not do it in your own strength though, but I also know it can easily make you feel isolated and frustrated. Talk these things over with the Lord and also with a trusted friend. I hope you have someone close by to whom you can turn. I know you feel exhausted. I am praying the Lord will show up for you very soon in an encouraging way.

I will Amanda I donot trust to many people but I have one person I really trust and I will continue to pray
because I know I did not make it this far on my own God brought me this far and I do not believe he brought me this far to leave. Because God is.............and without him I could do nothing on my own. Thank you Jesus! Mary Doris
