Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; so why should I be afraid?
Isaiah 41:10 Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you with my victorious right hand
Joshua 1:9 Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
True courage comes from God and in understanding and knowing that He is stronger than our enemies and He will use that strength to help you.
FACING CHANGE?
Genesis 46:3-4 Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will see to it that you become a great nation there.
Change may be a part of God's plan for your life. If so , hold onto faith that what you are headed for will bring you joy beyond your greatest expectations.
Exodus 4:13 But Moses again pleaded, "Lord please! Send someone else "
To experience fear is normal. To be paralyzed by it however, can be a indication that you doubt God's abilitu to care for you through the changes.
2 Sammuel 4:1 When Ishboseth heard about Abners death at Hebron, he lost all courage, and his people were paralyzed with fear.
If your courage comes from another person you will be left with nothing when that person is gone. When you trust God you will have strength to go on no matter what the circumstances around you.
COURAGE TO ADMIT MISTAKES
2 Samuel 12:13 Then David confessed to Nathan, ""I have sinned against the Lord." Nathan replied, "yes,but the Lord has forgiven you."
To admit our mistakes and sins is to open the door to forgiveness and restoration of relationships.
ARE THERE CONSEQUENCES FOR LACK OF COURAGE?
Luke 23:13-25 ...and their voices prevailed. So Pilate sentenced Jesus to die as they demanded.
Standing up for what is right can get you in hot water from corript people. But failing to stand up for what is right will get you in trouble with God.
PROMISE FROM GOD
JOSHUA 1:9
I COMMAND YOU; BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS! DO NOT BE AFRAID OR DISCOURAGED. FOR THE LORD YOUR GOD IS WITH YOU WHEREVER YOU GO.
MAY THE PEACE OF OUR LORD BE WITH YOU ALL THIS DAY AND ALWAYS!

Oh Amanda! I fail badly too! Any courage I can muster up comes from God. He has been working on my boldness in the last year. It comes around Amanda. Its a slow process But God will be your strength. You are going through a "faith trial" and did you know that even Mother Theresa doubted God and her faith faultered much for a stretch of a few years?! Just don,t turn away!! Praying for you and believing you can do it. After all, look where your strength comes from! :)

Put your favorite worship music on and lose yourself in the Spirit and worship and praise God. Even if you don,t feel like it. You will be surprised how it will lift you up on eagles wings! :)

To say I am a square peg to a round hole is a understatement.
I have been hurt so many times by, people who love the Lord. I often wondered if I belonged.
Did I say the wrong thing, echoes in my head so often, I have been quite for a long time.
I would agrue w/ God, don't have me do this or that, I know what will happen. Then I would and it would
happen and I was crushed. Go to Him and say, "see i knew it!" He would lovingly tell me thank you for your obedience son. I would find out that I did the right thing sometimes but, years would go by and I would get a call or hear another way, but He would say thanks for obedience. So I can trust Him but not them, Again Thank you this helped.

I too have been hurt by folks who say they love the lord but He has opened up my eyes to the fact that none of us is perfect and I myself have hurt others as well. Not intentionally and I am sure some who have hurt me did not have it in their hearts to do so. In the process though, God has turned this into good. He has built me up from low self esteem and helped me to become more assertive not to mention how to communicate with those who cause me pain rather than what I used to do. Not say anything , fall into depression until everything I swept under the rugbecame too big and I would fall over it. It has been slow going but am beginning to see God,s plan in it all. Lord bless you chris! :)
