All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

The cross is the symbol of Christianity. It is symbol of Christ suffering for us. I will like to know why the cross is disappearing from pulpits across America.

I also was raised Catholic, "Universal Christian".  So I understand why you ask.  The Cross was the vehicle not the destination.  I know that went w/o saying.  When I was 15, I was also batized in the Holy Ghost in a Catholic Chruch.  Not long after though, in that area that was no longer done.  After I left the Church I asked the same question.  Having the Cross bare reminds us that Jesus not only suffered, but that He has the victory over death.

That is how I see it anyway brother, trust I explained it o.k.

The thing I thought interesting was how being raised Catholic, we always knew Jesus had risen.

Yet, we grew up w/ Jesus on the Cross in Churches, etc.  How as Catholic we focused on remembering all He did for us, by the image of Him on the Cross.  The rest of the Churches

never had Him on the Cross.  As Catholic we knew all about Easter, yet the remembering of how He suffered for us by Him on the Cross.  I remembering think the same thing back then.

I don't understand why or how, some churches would not display with thankfulness,

the very instrument of our salvation.  Brother I do know this however, Jesus is coming

soon, His bride needs to prepare.  I would not want to see My Father and, try to explain

to Him the reason.  Why, a pastor, elders, etc., would approve the architectures drawing w/o a cross.

The way I remember it, a nun telling us why He was displayed on the cross.  So we would

always be mindful of how much He suffered.

It is truly sad that they don't display that cross as a beacon to those in need.

As opposed to just trying to blend in.

In the Love of the Lord.  Chris
