Hi Chris,

Yes, that`s for sure - we know where his eternal address will be, in the lake of fire.

But, like Michelle says, he`s active and on the prowl.

Ya` know, I`ll bet that old devil chuckles whenever he sees or hears a cartoon or joke showing him in hell with lost souls shoveling coal in the furnaces, like it`s happening right now.

Or, people talk about "demons from hell"...............

I believe he can change his form readilly, but I think it`s ridiculous to picture him with horns and tail, carrying a pitch-fork.

Remember, he was once known as Lucifer, the brightest angel.

Grace and Peace.

can we conclude that the devil can also use someone to participate in this net to do his dirty works?

A spirit needs a body to do any real damage. There will always, until they are put away, find a body to inhabit...someone who is willing to house them. When even a Christian get in the flesh, doing their own will, they are taking a chance of having a demon enter them. I used to think that couldn't happen but I am rethinking it.

There is a guy i know that was on his way to becoming a great preacher until he allowed flesh to get in the way. He is now a drug addict. His entire family is being destroyed. He probably had the idea that he was protected from such things, but his current lifestyle shows that we can, through operating in the flesh, cause bad things to happen. We are more or less, sending out an invitation to Satan, that we are ready to cooperate with him, when we live in the flesh. Paul tell s to pray without ceasing and I think being taken over by Satan is his main reason for teaching this.

Anyone of us could find ourselves in such a position if we give way even a little bit. Not to say that we all would be drug addicts but we could do damage to ourselves and the family of God.

Chris,

As long as we are mindful of Christ, Satan and his minions have no power over us. However, if we follow the flesh, we give Satan an inroad into our lives.

Rita

Chris, it is clearly stated that our adversary roams about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. it also says that he parades as an angel of light or minister of righteousness; and also that he goes about to steal, kill and destroy.

Clearly, we are taught to beware that our adversary has not been put away... yet. Revelation clearly demonstrates that he will be dealt with, in the future, by being thrown into the lake of fire. But, that is not yet. We are still in the middle of this struggle.

The main thing is to submit ourselves to God and resist the devil until God has ended the devil's reign of terror. The adversary is a tyrant, but only a petty tyrant.

Sun Tzu ----- "Every battle is over before it begins"

Remember that satan is a created being made by God. When you follow a recipe and know the ingredients you put into a product, don't you know the final destination of your creation? Just because the cake has yet to be put to the knife and devoured doesn't mean its final destination won't be desert. ----- A Lamborghini is a highly advanced and impressive piece of automotive machinery, but when confronted with the Lead Engineering Designer who drew it up, where can it run. None of its machinery is a mystery and its designer is not impressed by it. He has no fear of its mechanical intricacies or its amazing capabilities. To him who designed it, it’s just another piece of colored sheet metal.

Hello John,

Very good.

Definitely God`s got the situation of Satan under control................. but how many humans do?

Glad to hear from you.

Grace and Peace.

Hi Richard, Thank you for that question. I will open both barrels on this one. lol,

In my opinion, we as humans have no control over the situation. The moment we think we have control is when satan steps in. The only thing we do have control over, is who controls us. That is why I have called myself a slave to Jesus. The word slave denotes ownership. Picking a master is really the only input we get. The slave who knows he is owned by God can then hand his bodily vessel over to be used as a conduit by God. I believe this is the reason that the early Christians could perform such miracles on a daily basis. They were eager to be slaves, but today, we try to hang on to our own lives and still say we live for Christ. People were raised from the dead in the name of Jesus. I don't see that today. Same God, what happened? --- Anyhow this is what I now strive for, to be a slave for Christ at any cost. I want to taste the kind of Christianity that made the early Christians come away from a beating rejoicing at being deemed worthy to be beaten for their faith. Something spiritual was happening back then that is not happening now, and I want it! I really don’t care what the cost is to get it. If that means no wife, no money, prison, beatings, blindness, disfigurement, death, then that is what it will be. I don’t say this because I think it sounds good but I think it won’t happen. I’m not playing around with this stuff I’m saying. ----- When the things of Sodom and Gomorrah don’t seem that different from today, and Lost Vegas is affectionately known as “Sin City” and the top rated show on TV is “American Idol”, then it will be pretty hard for people to say Lord we had no clue.

Peace and Joy to you and yours in Jesus name.

I have tried living 'halfway' for God and it just didn't work. I used to wonder what God meant about how he looks at your heart. What I bellieve that God means is that we can talk all we want about how we love him, but what he is waiting for, is for us to love him (((more))) than we love anything else. More than money, more than being liked by others, more than we love the comforts of this world, more even than we love ourselves or our own lives. If we can do all that, than I guess we are pretty much his slaves anyhow. But we would be slaves to the master of the universe, the master of love. I think it will be easy to have a humble spirit if we can just get to the point where we realize it is not about us anymore because we don't own our own lives. The closer we get to him, the more and more narrow the pathway gets.----- Anyhow, that is the place where I am trying to get to. The place where I don't even exist anymore because Jesus owns me body, mind, heart, and soul.

Amen, John.

Amen, Chris.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith;  and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9, NASB).

Grace and Peace.

God bless you, John,

You`re on the right track alright.

Here are some passages for you to consider:

                                                                       Matthew 22:35 - 40

                                                                        John 6:28 - 29

The three "P"s keep people from coming to the Lord Jesus Christ = Pride, Priorities, and Poor little ME.

A friend of mine shared this statement: "The objective of this life, is not this life."

Grace and Peace.

Chris,

Very well put about being a slave.

We want to be following the lineage of the free woman, not the lineage of the slave woman.

And,  of course the lineage of the free woman(Sarah) are the heirs of the Promise.

Grace and Peace.
