hi Dee,

I have a few (3) things for you today from my prayer meeting this morning. God is so good...all the time.

1--read the book of Habakkuk. The purpose is to show that God is in control despite the apparent triumph of evil in the world. What can we learn from this? continue to bring everything to God...God will answer us, we must respond with faith in Him and all that He is doing and His promises. Our God is all powerful..and He is a God who cannot lie! He has a plan and He will carry it out. We can be confident that He loves us and He will guard our relationship with Him forever.

2--Isaiah 57:1-2 Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come. For those who follow godly paths will rest in peace when they die.

3--Read Isaiah 56:1-8...this is a beautiful encouragement and promise.

I hope you are well.. Continue to seek with all your heart...
Love and Blessings in Christ, Carla

Hi Dee,

I would like to share today's devotional with you from Oswald Chambers. His devotion book is called 'My Utmost for His Highest'.. see if you can get a copy. Anyhow, here is today's:

The Way to Know - July 27th
"If any man will do His Will, he shall know of the doctrine....."
John 7:17

The golden rule for understanding spiritually is not intellect, but obedience. If a man wants scientific knowledge, intellectual curiosity is his guide, but if he wants insight into what Jesus Christ teaches, he can only get it by obedience. If things are dark to me, then I may be sure there is something I wil not do. Intellectual darkness comes through ignorance; spiritual darkness comes because of something I do not intend to obey.
No man ever receives a word from God without instantly being put to the test over it. We disobey and then wonder why we don't go on spiritually. "If when you come to the altar," says Jesus, "there you remember your brother hath ought against you.....don't say another word to Me, but first go and put that thing right."
The teaching of Jesus hits us where we live. We cannot stand as humbugs before Him for one second. He educates us down to the scruple. The Spirit of God unearths the spirit of self-vindication; He makes us sensitive to things we never thought of before.
When Jesus brings a thing home by His word, don't shirk it. If you do, you will become a religious humbug. Watch the things you shrug your shoulders over, and you will know why you do not go on spiritually. First go--at the risk of being thought fanatical you must obey what God tells you.

Hello deedee, I am sorry to hear of your loss. You will remain in my prayers, my friend. Losing the presence of someone we love so much is quite a challenge. I am leaning on the Lord, and I keep reminding myself that one day I will meet my dad again in a place of perfection, where I will never be without him again. Let us keep our eyes on Him who resumes all control and understanding, and loves us more than we can even fathem.
Thank you for your support...you can call on my friendship anytime, as well.
God bless you and your family,
Glenda

Deedee,
Keep on smiling...your smile rocks because of the awesome presence of God living on the inside of you. Do not let anyone steal that smile.
May our father continue to hold you so close and dear to His heart in Jesus name.
