All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Are we not all feeling a strong desire or need for something else?

Time after time have our actions or thoughts not quenched our need for something? How long will we be moved by our thirst?  How long will we bend and how loud will we bellow? Day after day what words will we let spill of our tongues. Just so the thirst is quenched. But after…  Are we not still thirsty?

The word says

John 4:14 - But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

John 7:37 - In the last day, that great [day] of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

Revelation 22:17 - And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

The man after God’s heart  leads the way. To subdue the thirst you must take heed of the instructions

63 A Psalm of David, in his being in the wilderness of Judah. O God, Thou [art] my God, earnestly do I seek Thee, Thirsted for Thee hath my soul, Longed for Thee hath my flesh, In a land dry and weary, without waters.2 So in the sanctuary I have seen Thee, To behold Thy strength and Thine honor.

3 Because better [is] Thy kindness than life, My lips do praise Thee.

4 So I bless Thee in my life, in Thy name I lift up my hands.

5 As [with] milk and fatness is my soul satisfied, And [with] singing lips doth my mouth praise.

6 If I have remembered Thee on my couch, In the watches -- I meditate on Thee.

7 For Thou hast been a help to me, And in the shadow of Thy wings I sing.

8 Cleaved hath my soul after Thee, On me hath Thy right hand taken hold.

Amen
