All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

I missed Bible study this morning!

Not because I did not feel like going, not because I did not want to go, not because it was my intention to forsake the brethren, not because I am evil and not because I am falling away.
The Lord led me to a book this week about something I needed to be reminded of.
A book about something I have always known but have sometimes allowed myself to be led away from at times,as a result of my own hunger to learn and grow. Allowing impatience on my part in wanting to know more and more about God NOW, RIGHT NOW, THIS MINUTE!! In my own impatience, the REAL TRUTH sometimes got blurry.
I have been on line now for over two years , seeing, watching and listening to legalism at times in its ugliest and most damaging forms.
Sometimes dealing with it in the way God would have me deal with it and other times, well, perhaps not so graciously.
I thank God for EVERY one of those times as I read this book He has led me to and I now see that those experiences have taught me how we can react to certain things to Glorify His Name or react by falling short of His Glory and His Will, but no matter what , God in His Grace, will always pick us up again when we fall and we have learned one more thing that He wants us to learn.

I am finding out that the bottom line is"GRACE!"

We are saved by His Grace! He shows us that Grace on a continueing basis and what He most wants from us is to show that grace to others.
We all want and pray to be more Christ-like and I find that, personally, every time I slip He points out the same message to me EVERY SINGLE TIME!

GRACE, GRACE,GRACE!

In these past two years , God has placed in my life many opportunities to grow even if I had to fall in order to do so.
In my zealousness to just plain want to please Him, too many times, I have been too easily led to "THE DO'S AND DON'T" of being a Christian, which became a longer and longer and more unreachable "list" all the time.
Oh yes, we must be aware how sneaky our enemy is when he puts us back into the very bondage that Jesus freed us of.
That freedom is to "BELIEVE IN THE ONE GOD SENT" and to desire to please Him and be more like Him.

The Lord Himself taught that "YOU SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH AND THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE. JOHN 8:32

That truth is that we are Saved by Grace and with the Holy Spirit to guide us He will change our hearts as necessary as He wills in all the places He sees our hearts need changed (A LIFELONG PROCESS)
The Bible study group I attend is called "Experiencing God-Knowing God's will"
by Henry Blackaby. Since being a part of this study God is enlightening me not only during the two hour study time each Wednesday but also more and more throughout each and every day.
With the fellowship with God and the brethren which I am so very thankful for, these eyes are opening more than ever.THANKYOU LORD!
I love the fellowship and finally having found a Home Church that I really am connected to in Spirit.
However, this week,I experienced God's simple truth in this book I have been engrossed in this day as well.
There may be some who will frown on me for missing Bible Study today.(Maybe or maybe not) but I do not regret what God obviously wanted so show me.
The devil's been having a field day with me.
Attempting to rebind me and ensnare me in dogma to choke out the freedom God gave me, the life He gave for me to shine for HIS GLORY!
It's time to spit in the devil's eye and accept that GRACE OF GOD, GRACIOUSLY,So He can continue to help me grow in this journey.
We CANNOT grow all "bound up" so this day I want to THANKYOU FATHER, for helping me to "SEE" this Grace that I was forgetting.

Something God doe's not want me to forget, or any of us for that matter is that we are indeed "Saved by Grace"
WHAT A WONDERFUL GIFT FROM GOD!

QUOTE FROM THE BOOK "THE GRACE AWAKENING" BY CHARLES .R.SWINDOLL

"WHEN GRACE IS IN YOUR HEART, YOUR HOPE IS TO RELEASE OTHERS FROM FEAR, NOT CREATE IT!

The most often repeated command from Christ's lips was "DO NOT BE AFRAID"

THROUGH MANHY DANGERS,TOIL AND SNARES,
I HAVE ALREADY COME.
TIS GRACE THAT BROUGHT ME SAFE THUS FAR.
AND GRACE WILL LEAD ME HOME.

ALL GLORY TO GOD!
WE LOVE YOU JESUS!

This is what He has been calling me to attend to Charles. He got my attention as He has His way of doing. You know , it all started out that all I believed was that Christ was Crucified to take on the burden of our sin . Its about forgiveness, love and grace. It is what I once did all my writing on at one time. Wow, I guess the enemy did not like that much and saw he had to try to put a wedge in there. You ARE soooooo correct , it is VERY SIMPLE and this is how I try to keep my own life as well, just as God intends for it to be. Just the SIMPLE TRUTH, GOD'S TRUTH!
Love you in Christ,
FOREVER in His Grace,
Nancy

FATHER GOD, EVER MERCIFUL AND FULL OF GRACE. AS WE CONTINUE TO PRAISE YOUR HOLY NAME FOR YOUR GLORY AND YOURS ALONE, HELP US ALL TO HOLD FAST TO YOUR TRUTHS. GUIDE OUR EVERY THOUGHT, OUR EVERY ACTION AND OUR EVERY WORD TO REFLECT THAT TRUTH AND GRACE. FORGIVE US WHEN WE STRAY OR ARE SWAYED BY THE THOUGHTS AND WORDS THE ENEMY USES TO DECIEVE US.
PROTECT US AND USE FOR YOUR GOODNESS AND RIGHTEOUSNESS , ANYTHING OUR ENEMY ATTEMPTS TO USE FOR EVIL. IN JESUS MOST PRECIOUS NAME.

FOR YOURS IS THE KINGDOM, THE POWER AND THE GLORY
FOREVER AND EVER
AMEN!

Dear Nancy

Isn't it wonderful when we realize that things are not nearly as complicated as so many would have us to believe? I have had battles with the very things you are talking about and God has been very gracious as to just get me quiet so I can hear what He's really saying. You are so right , it is all by His grace and mercy.

My favorite chorus of the song you were quoting is

" T'was grace that taught my heart to FEAR,
then grace my fears RELIEVED .
How precious did that grace appear
the hour I first believed. "

I'm currently rereading a book by Max Lucado entitled " In the Grip of Grace ". I rarely even try to discuss the 'deep things" of theology because I like to keep my life as simple as possible and that's exactly ( in my opinion ) how God wants it. That's why He made it all a matter of grace and not our works.

As far as 'frowning on you ' for missing bible study I wouldn't be concerned about that at all. I have on several ocassions not gone to church simply because the Lord seemed to want to really set me down to tell me something and I've been so blessed by taking the time to just be alone with Him and to give Him my undivided attention. Getting my undivide attention is difficult sometimes as I am , at times , as easily distracted as a young child. Mind you , I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with going to church , because I enjoy teaching and fellowship as much as anyone. It's just that sometimes God just wants our undivided attention and the best way for me to do that is to be alone with Him.

Anyhow , God bless you as you grow in His grace and knowledge.
