See-saws!!

I used to love them as a kid ... just as long as you had someone to see-saw with, and just as long as it wasn't a mean kid, who'd jump off when you were in mid-air!!

But, as a grown-up, I've discovered that see-saws aren't that much fun... well, the ones I've tried lately haven't been.

I'm talking about the see-saws of indecision, and not knowing really what the Lord wants us to do. Most of it has been related to finance, and I know many are in the same spot. Making right financial decisions is not easy, especially today.

And it seems that many financial institutions are like those mean kids who jump off when you're up in the air. You know what I mean? Ouch!!!

So, what do we do? What does the Lord want? What does He say?

Anyhow, I'm going to check out my Bible to find the answer....

I should back-track!! Today, we received some good advice from our bank's financial planner, and that was we would be better off if we sold our house. He explained why, so we did our figures, and what he said made a lot of sense.

We have had our house on and off the market a couple of time this past year, and we just took it off a couple of weeks ago. Now, here's the suggestion to sell, so we decided to try again.

We were in a quandry about it this evening. Is that what the Lord wants? Do we sell up and move? Well, I profoundly said to hubby, "If we get a buyer, then we move. Otherwise, we don't!!" I figured there is not sense in stressing over it.

And then I thought some more, wondering what the Lord was up to. Then it hit me!! The middle verse in the Bible....

"It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man." (Psalm 118:8, NKJ)

God's purpose will be done, and we don't need to always know what that is. Instead, just TRUST Him!!
