All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Yes, the goal is to reach souls;
but at what further cost?
Unacceptable is using fear as mind control
for reaching those considered 'lost'.

When not as an example of victorious living,
the principles of God appear to lose credibility.
If not demonstrating a God that's loving,
then appeal of the Kingdom lacks desirability.

To berate skeptical souls with Hell's threat
will deliberately cause immediate offense.
Salvation is not a game with souls to bet -
Offer encouragement to get off the lukewarm fence.

Our responsibility is to share Salvation's plan,
not forcing people to immediately decide.
We are to be God's vessel to reach Man
and not propagate the Eternal Divide.

Joseph

Outstanding and very well said . I have seen many who claim for themselves having 'holy boldness' when they are actually being offensive  or even obnoxious.

Jesus always spoke the truth , but always with compassion for the lost and hurting.

A scripture that very well supports your words here is in 2 Tim 2 : 23-26

 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid , knowing that they gender strifes.

And the servant of the Lord must NOT STRIVE ; but be GENTLE unto ALL MEN , apt to TEACH, PATIENT,

In MEEKNESS instructing those that oppose them; I f God perhaps will give them repentance to acknowledging the truth;

And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him to do his will."

I learned in a seminar a truth that we sometimes forget when speaking to people about the Lord.  Unbelievers and skeptics are not our enemies ; but they are the VICTIMS of our enemy .  I believe the above scripture also supports this concept.

God bless you for your insight .

Love this...the fear of hell won't bring people to know Christs love just as the knowledge and fear of dying of cancer wont always stop people smoking. reminds me of a preacher I saw in a film shouting about Hell's damnation  and banging on his bible-rest. Filling women, men and children with terror, wheres Jesus' love there?
