All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Scriptural Readings: Hebrews 11:6, John 16:13, Hebrews 10:23.

King James Version

Hebrews 11:6

V.6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

New Living Translation

V.6 And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.

We have an old saying that “to see is to believe.” It is one of the many effective phrases one might accept when we talk about almost everything. Many of us also believe in the saying, “10 percent inspiration and 90 percent perspiration.” Whatever we believe in or outlook on life in this world most of us respect, we continue living with facts to judge the truth from the essential foundations we think and build is appropriate.

To fully understand what is happening today is to trust and then rest on things we see and believe. It is how the world works today. We live in a world of seeing is to believe. We cannot compromise our effort on things we cannot see and consider. It is the very foundation of reality viewed by humanity in this modern-day. Otherwise, we will be confused. Other than that, it would be a waste of everything. Nowadays, many of us evaluate success through the things that we can accumulate and see. The question comes up to are we satisfied with these accumulated things?

John 16:13

King James Version

V.13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

New Living Translation

V.13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.

Why faith in God?

It is complicated to understand faith in its innermost sense if linked towards God. And for some, they may have a lot of different beliefs in so many things, making it difficult to choose from one, creating delays. But why faith in God? While other items offer relatively few options, faith in God granted us the reality. We cannot reach God, so He became man, making it possible to come to Him. It is the reality, the truth, that opened our whole spirit, soul, and body. This reality made us see and realize the unattainability of every human action in having perfection was made clear. It is not anymore a case of head or tails or believe it or not. Having faith in God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ showed us the path, revealed the truth (reality), living the holy life. We now see the perfection of certainty and not the partiality, the explicitness, not the fuzziness. Our faith in God through Jesus Christ uncovered the real meaning of joy, changing the human view of contentment or satisfaction entirely. Reality is not only about what we feel and know. It is more of what we see through Jesus Christ. The reality we understand is entirely different from the actual reality Jesus is going to show us.

Hebrews 10:23

King James Version

V.23 Let us hold fast the profession of [our] faith without wavering; for he [is] faithful that promised;

New Living Translation

V.23  Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.

Our day-to-day activities are to live in with difficulties side by side, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. And this would probably result in blinding our faith. So, it is of utmost importance that we compel ourselves to adhere to trust and assurance in their strictest sense to our God.

The profession of our faith in Him means to agree in a covenant with our God. We Christians doubt our faith sometimes. God knows we can’t follow some things we promised. On God’s part, He keeps reminding us of the matters included in the agreement or our faith in Him because He never lies. So, He has to remind us once in a while of the things that we might be missing. We should not waver in our faith. But then again, as long as we keep our promise, we are going to be rewarded.

The spiritual significance of this is that God restored the Father-children’s relationship. It is the answer, the solution that we are looking for in our day-to-day feeling of uncertainties. Our faith in Jesus reconnected our spirit to our God, making human emotions inferior to what is superior to what the Holy Spirit does to our entire being. Faith in Jesus tells us the truth contrary to what we have always been living, living in lies. Lies lead us to uncertainties, blinding us to the realities.

Our faith in Jesus is the junction where God will point us to the primary way to work out every issue we are facing in our lives. Now that we have the right faith, we can continue to have this holy and everlasting relationship with our God through Jesus.
