Is drinking alcohol a bad thing according to chriatianity?

I have a really big confession. Yesterday i drank wine and i have drank it many a times but i am not alcoholic. I just drink it in special occasions and after lot many months. Just for fun sometimes. I am not at all alcoholic. But i don't know whether it is good or bad. First when my friend taught me about christianity,she told me that drinking alcohol is bad. So i simply decided not to drink. But after few years she herself told me that drinking alcohol is not bad but being alcoholic or addicted to something is bad. So i am really confused. Please can anyone clear me out? Love You God. I am sorry if its bad. I don't wanna betray You and do anything that's unpleasant for You. Love You God so much. Amen..

I do know that you are no saviour. You are just a person. But God did send you for me,to help me out of this thing. You helped me and i can't appreciate more of you.
