... be very happy when you are tested in different ways. James 1:2
... but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; Rom5:3
For although He was crucified in weakness, yet He lives by the power of God; and we also are weak with Him, but we are living with Him by the power of God, who is in you. 2Cor 13:4
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness.” I shall therefore joyfully boast in my sufferings, that the power of The Messiah may rest upon me. Because of this, I am pleased with suffering, with disgrace, with distress, with persecution, with imprisonment, which is for the person of The Messiah, for when I am weak, then I am strong.
The list goes on and on. Rejoice in our suffering, be very happy when you are tested, even joyfully boast in my suffering. He was crucified in weakness, yet lives by the Power of God. God tells us this, “ My Grace is sufficient for you, for My Power is perfected in weakness!” Since Jesus knows of weakness, and the Power in the Grace of God. We all can say w/ confidence, " when I am weak, then I am strong!” When we face difficult times, and we pray and ask God for help, then whatever comes our way will benefit us. I understand the weight of that statement as well as anyone. Yet, we can not refuse to acknowledge what the Word tells us about suffering. If adversity, misery, or hardships, come at us and we pray, ask God for help; exercise faith, we must Trust God from then on. As we begin to accept and recognize the Will of the Father, also Trust Him while we are trying to discern His Will. I believe we will begin to, appreciate these once puzzling statements.
We will be living witnesses to James 4:7 Submit therefore to God and stand against Satan, and he will flee from you. As we share the Good News w/ others, we will tell them how cool and effective this works. “ No really, if you will only submit to God and stand against the enemy, it will flee!!” Or something along those lines. Times will arrive when, some around us will be seized w/ fear. Yet, w/ the Peace that passes all understanding, we will simply see that, The purpose of these troubles is to test your faith as fire tests how genuine gold is. Your faith is more precious than gold, and by passing the test, it gives praise, glory, and honor to God. This will happen when Jesus Christ appears again. 1Pet 1:7 When we no longer are afraid of what might happen, and we have the knowledge that, no matter what happens we Trust God, bad day to be a demon appointed to us. I do not believe this is “pie in the sky” thinking. I believe we are able to do this the right way. All of us together in the Body, submitted to God, and standing against the enemy, yet we will be so focused on Dad we won’t care when it flees.
