All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

We are always asking God to forgive us. Yesterday, I was talking to the Lord about my faults, and was a little concerned as to how those faults affected my Christian walk. As I was driving along, I saw a sign in front of a local Church, which read, " GOD HAS FORGIVEN YOUR FAULTS, WHY DON'T YOU!!!" I couldn't understand why I drove that way, until I saw that sign. It was obvious that the Holy Spirit had purposed for me to go that way, just so that I could be encouraged by reading that sign. Be open to the leading of the Lord, allow Him to direct you, and take notice of what He has to say. WE NEED TO FORGIVE OURSELVES!!!!!!!!!!!!

AMEN and AMEN to that. I have a fairly consistant reminder of my faults and failures every day. Some (I'm sure) are from the enemy , but that does not make them any the less true. I fight discouragement on this front a lot.

I have failed more times that I would ever admit to anyone but God. I must lean heavily on the scripture in Lamentations 3:17-26:

" And thou has removed my soul far from peace: I forgat prosperity.

And I said,'my strength and my hope is perished from the Lord.

Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.

My soul has then still in rememberance, and is humbled in me.

This I recall to mind , therefore have I hope.

IT IS OF THE LORD'S MERCIES THAT WE ARE NOT CONSUMED, because His COM-

                                   PASSIONS FAIL NOT.

They are new EVERY MORNING: great is THY faithfulness.

The Lord is my portion therefore I have HOPE IN HIM.

The Lord is good unto them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeks Him.

It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord."

These verses seem to sum up my experience lately. The reminder of faults and failures; then the discouragement and loss of peace , then finding that the only solution is to confess and fall upon the mercies of an ever compassionate God.

God bless.
