Consuming Career

Below is a prayer for someone very close to me.    I am concerned about her soul.  Please take a moment to pray for this person.  I love her deeply.  Also, please feel free to use this for someone close to you.  I think it is a symptom of  our life in America.  I know she is not the only one with this malady.

Consuming Career

Dear Heavenly Father,

My very close friend is for whom I pray

She is wondering through life without Your way

She says she believes and that she’s a Christian

But all that is important is her ambition

She works all her life from waking to bed

She has so much strife and surely is not fed

She really is good in her chosen career

And everyone around her, they praise and they cheer

But there is no time for You, with all Your glory

There is NO time for her to hear of Your story

So I ask with the deepest of love

That she find the purest sincerest love

Please bring her to You Dear Lord

Please change her heart to Your accord

Please make her want Your warm caress

And live with absolutely nothing less

Please bring her closer to walk with You

That she may change her point of view

Please have her give her everything

So she can find the one perfect thing.
