Jesus the True Vine

"I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinegrower. He removes every branch in me that bears no fruit. Every branch that bears fruit he prunes to make it bear more fruit. You have already been cleansed by the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me as I abide in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from… Continue

The Secret

One day, one friend asked another,

'How is it that you are always so happy?

You have so much energy,

and you never seem to get down.'

....

With her eyes smiling, she said,

'I know the Secret!'

'What secret is that?'

To which she replied,

'I'll tell you all about it,

but you have to promise to

share the Secret with others.'

....

'The Secret is this:

I have learned there is little I can do

in my life that will… Continue

"What is Politics?"

A little boy goes to his dad and asks,

Dad says, "Well son, let me try to explain it this way:

I am the head of the family, so call me The President.

Your mother is the administrator of the money, so we call her the Government.

We are here to take care of your needs, so we will call you the People.

The nanny, we will consider her the Working Class.

And your baby brother, we will call him the… Continue

Proverbs 3:3

Proverbs 3:3 "Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart…"

One of the most important secrets of successful communication is the balance of truth (honesty) and mercy (sensitivity). In the book of Proverbs, Solomon tells us not to forsake them and even to "bind them" around our necks. That means that every word originating in our vocal cords and coming out of our mouths should reverberate with both truth and… Continue

Mark 9:16-32

Mark 9:16-32

16) And he asked them, " What are you discussing with them?" 17) And one of the crowd answered him, "Teacher, I brought my son to you, for he has a dumb spirit; 18) and wherever it seizes him, it dashes him down; and he foams and grinds his teeth and becomes rigid; and I asked your disciples to cast it out, and they were not able." 19) And he answered them, " O faithless generation, how long am I to be with you? How long am I to bear with you? Bring him to me." 20) And they… Continue

Is it wrong?

Even though the Bible does not say anything about pornography, specifically, pornography is still wrong. Pornography deals with photography and/or illicit paintings and/or cartoons that are designed to arouse sexual passions in the viewer. It is certainly possible that at the time when the Bible was written that there were various art forms that depicted sexually explicit things. But apparently this phenomenon was not sufficiently prevalent enough for the subject to be addressed in the Bible.… Continue

The Three Most Difficult Things To Say

Did you know that the three most difficult things to say are:

I love you, Sorry, and Help me.

..

Did you know that when you help someone, the help is returned in two-fold?

..

Did you know that you can make your dreams come true, like falling in love, becoming rich, staying healthy, if you ask for it by faith, and if you really believe, you'd be surprised by what you could do.

..

But, don't believe everything I tell you, until you try it for yourself , if you… Continue

Things That Can Aggrevate The Chruch

1. People who over use the tambourine:

Everybody isn't meant to beat it. When you don't do it right, it is truly aggravating and a nuisance. Keep still and sing like everybody else during the slow songs.

2. People who fake the spirit:

Just because your friend caught it don't mean you did too. If you are running around the church and you stop out of breath after going only half way around, we know you haven't been touched. SIT DOWN!!!

3. People who… Continue

Matthew 13:16-33

16) "But blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear. 17) Truly, I say to you, many prophets and righteous men longed to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it. 18) Hear then the parable of the sower. 19) When any one hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what is sown in his heart; this is what was sown along the path. 20) As for what was sown on rocky ground, this is he… Continue

Kariema's Joke Of The Day!

Rick was in trouble. He forgot his wedding anniversary.

His wife was really angry.

She told him- "Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in less than 6

seconds.

AND IT BETTER BE THERE!!

The next morning Rick got up early and left for work. When his wife woke up she looked out the window and sure enough there was a box gift-wrapped in the middle of the driveway. Confused, the wife put on her robe and ran out to the… Continue

How Unselfish Are You?

An unemployed graduate woke up one morning and checked his pocket. All he had left was $10. He

decided to use it to buy food and then wait for death as he was too proud to go begging. He was frustrated as he could find no job, and nobody was ready to help him.

He bought food and as he sat down to eat, an old man and two little children came along and asked him to help them with food as they had not eaten for almost a week. He looked at them. They were so lean that he could… Continue

I Got Flowers Today!

We had our first argument last night, and he said a lot of cruel things that really hurt me. I know he is sorry and didn't mean the things he said, because he sent me flowers today. I got flowers today.

It wasn't our anniversary or any other special day.

Last night he threw me into a wall and started to choke me. It seemed like a nightmare, I couldn't believe it was real.

I woke up this morning sore and bruised all over. I know he must be sorry cause he sent me flowers… Continue

Faith Without Works Is Dead!

In September 1960, I woke up one morning with six hungry babies and just 75 cents in my pocket.

Their father was gone.

The boys ranged from three months to seven years;

their sister was two.

Their Dad had never been much more than a presence they feared.

Whenever they heard his tires crunch on the gravel driveway they would scramble to hide under their beds.

He did manage to leave $15 a week to buy groceries.

Now that he had decided to… Continue

First Grade Logic

First Grade Logic

A 1st grade school teacher had twenty-six students in her class. She presented each child in her classroom the 1st half of a well-known proverb and asked them to come up with the remainder of the proverb.

It's hard to believe these were actually done by first graders. Their insight may surprise you. While reading, keep in mind that these are first-graders, 6-year-olds, because the last one is a classic!

1. Don't change horses

What's Up With Her?

What's Up With Her?

There comes a time in every woman's life when she has to take a close look at herself. Not at her circumstance, not at what she did, not how unfair life is, or not at whom made you do it. She has to just look at herself in all her glory and imperfection.

Have you ever admired a woman who has been through changes in her life? Or have you made up in your mind that she is just messed up. Before you make this mistake, take a closer look. A woman… Continue

Kariema's Daily Thought! Think About It

Kariema's Daily Thought! Think About It

Jesus had no servants, yet they called Him Master.

Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher.

Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer.

He had no army, yet kings feared Him..

He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world.

He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him.

He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today.

I feel honored to serve such a Leader who loves us!

If you believe in God… Continue
