When you meet fellow christians, the first question they ask you is "Are you saved?" Of course I'm saved is always the answer.  I asked a student of mine whether she was saved and the answer was "Yes".  I further asked her what she understood by being saved. Some people think nothing bad should happen to christians because they are children of God.  Well, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ was not spared from suffering.  When Jesus predicts His death in the book of Mark 10, verse 34 states: "They will mock Him, spit on Him, beat Him with their whips and kill Him, but after three days, He will rise again."  So if we are His follows, should we be spared?  Christians go through many storms in their lifetime, but the good news is…

Over the years I've come to realise that everything has a purpose in my life. Nothing happens in my life without a reason.  The all seeing, all knowing God is always around when we go through life's blessings and difficulties... nothing happens behind His back. The Good News tells us how God makes us right in His sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the scripture says it is through faith that a righteous person has life.
