This poem below has a beautiful message behind it - we all should appreciate the beauty of this world, especially in the small things. :)
With human minds we emotionally bind ourselves to things we cannot see. Hopelessly setting a course that will deprive us of the strings of peace that were given to you and me.
We often pass up rainbows, a spring shower, a sunset, or even just a smile. Yet in the name of prosperity and growth we'll go the extra mile.
God gave us the…

Dear Father, Thank You for the many promises that You have given us in the Bible. Thank You for watching over us and our children and grandchildren and giving us all long life. Lord, give me the grace to live my life in accordance with Your Word. Forgive me of my sins and keep me from temptation. Strengthen me to do things that please You. Good Day to you.
Keep in mind – “All Scripture is God-breathed,”1 penned by “holy men of God,”2 as we read James’ next shocking words—written to the Jewish converts he was teaching . . .…

If your residence has trees around the premises... each morning as you awaken, you probably hear the sound of cheerful chirping of birds. It's almost like our little feathered friends are saying, "Oh God! It's morning!! (Yay)......"
Not like many people.... who say, "Ohhh, God(moan)...it's mornnning(groan)...."
Some folks might say, "Well, the birds don't have the problems I have...... so why shouldn't they be happy"?
But most of us don't have to go out…

"PRAYER FOR SALVATION AND BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT"
Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. Your Word says, "Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Acts 2:21). I am calling on You. I pray and ask Jesus to come into my heart and be Lord over my life according to Romans (10:09-10): "If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the…

Ps 40:3 He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what He has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the LORD.
Ps 96:1 Sing a new song to the LORD! Let the whole earth sing to the LORD!
Let it be that we sing a new song to the Lord. The song you sang yesterday was good, but that was then we have a…

Dear Father, Thank You for giving us such good advice in the Bible. Give us the grace to heed it. Lord, help me to do a good job at each task that is before me. I want the works of my hands to glorify You. Lord, I ask You to keep Your hand of protection on me and my family and my loved ones. I pray for all who read this devotional that You will also protect and guide them. Reveal Yourself to them in a deeper way. Touch and heal them and bless each of them this very day. Give us all the…

Dear Father, I thank you for all Your goodness to us as Your children. We are most grateful for Your patience and understanding towards us. Help us to have the same attitude and grace toward those who bother or trouble us. Lord, help me to speak gracious and kind things about others. I read in Isaiah 6 how when he had a vision of Your holiness, he cried out, "Woe is me! I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of…

Dear Father, You are very gracious to all of Your children, and I thank You for all the many material blessings You have given us in this nation. Lord, help us to be good stewards over these things and not use them unwisely. Help us to be generous in our giving, and follow You, as to the people and the works You would like us to help. Help us not to get so busy enjoying our blessings, that we forget the One who gave us those blessings. Deliver us from the spirit of mammon and any trace…

Recently, while in a hospital lobby, I watched as a maintenance employee went about his work. He had his ipod playing and was using a type of ladder that I had seen on infomercials. He folded it several ways and then when he had folded it so it was twenty feet high, he climbed to the top of it and straddled the top, not thinking twice about whether it would hold him or not. He exercised great faith in that ladder. It seems logical that the ladder will support him…

None of us are perfect. In fact, the only perfect person was Jesus Christ. We all fall short of the Glory of God (Romans 3:23) and have sinned.
For a long time I didn’t like that word “sin” but it became a whole lot more palatable when I understood it didn’t mean I committed heinous acts, but simply made mistakes, and these mistakes or lack of perfection, (which is unattainable for all of us humans ), separated me from God. No matter how hard I try, I will never be…

Dear Heavenly Father, I praise You today for my salvation. Thank you for delivering me from hatred and evil and filling me with Your love. ' Lord, help me to witness to those around me about Your love for them.' Give me the grace to always be loving and kind to all, even when others act differently toward me. ' Help me not to repeat the sins of others that I know about, but rather cover them with prayer, lest I am also tempted.' Forgive our nation for its taste for gossip and its…

Solomon admonishes us not only to use words with restraint, but to manage our emotions. (Proverbs 17: 28) I have seen more damage done by unrestrained emotions that perhaps any other issue. Have you witnessed the damage done when you’ve allowed yourself to become furious or overly anxious? Have you felt the damage of a man/ woman who was not even-tempered? It is imperative that you and your mate agree never to discuss an issue when emotions are high. High emotion impairs…

The author of this paper became interested in this tragic event; because he was a junior in high school when this tragedy took place. It was the worst catastrophe of its kind. This catastrophe was not the result of weather or as a result of war. It was the result of a twisted religious predator who used religion as a way to destroy the lives of his flock. This religious leader came from Indianapolis, Indiana the…

It has been said many ways, so one more will not hurt. We seek God to give us....whatever the case may be. I have said over again and again, it is a “heart thing.” The Lord wants our hearts. Time and again people have told me, they have given their hearts to God. I understood, yet some did not fully get what I was trying to say. Not their fault, mine. It has been my inability to share completely what I meant. Lord willing until now. I am Blessed! I am Blessed coming…
