LET US BE CALLED BY THY NAME…..
By Lahry Sibley
Isa 4:1 And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.
This is a verse that I am going to have to spend some time with. Someone suggested to me, that these “seven women” represent the seven churches, perhaps those spoken of by our Lord in Revelation. Should this be the case, then what follows is…

Sabbath Testimony
American Congregationalists: No authority in the New Testament for substitution of the first day for the seventh
"The current notion that Christ and His apostles authoritatively substituted the first day for the seventh, is absolutely without any authority in the New Testament."
Dr. Lyman Abbott, in the Christian Union, June 26, 1890
Anglican: Nowhere commanded to keep the first day
"And where are we told in the Scriptures that we are to keep the…

This past Sunday, Sept. 27th, Faith Temple hosted 1st Assembly for a joint worship service. Pastor Hadnot graciously asked me to preach the message. Oh we had a wonderful time or worship, giving honor to our Holy God.
Afterward, we had some goooood fried chicken. Hey? What else?

Outside the Camp
By Lahry Sibley
Heb 13:12 Therefore Jesus also suffered and died outside the [city's] gate in order that He might purify and consecrate the people through [the shedding of] His own blood and set them apart as holy [for God].
Heb 13:13 Let us then go forth [from all that would prevent us] to Him outside the camp [at Calvary], bearing the contempt and abuse and shame with Him. [Lev. 16:27.]
Heb 13:14 For here we have no permanent city, but we are looking…

MY KING!
author unknown
The Bible says my King is a seven way King. He's the King of the Jews, that’s a racial King. He's the King of Israel, that’s a national King. He's the King of Righteousness. He's the King of the ages. He's the King of the Heavens. He's the King of Glory. He's the King of Kings, and He's the Lord of lords. That’s My King! I wonder do you know Him?
David said the Heavens declare the Glory of God and the firmament shows of His handiwork. My King is a…

.Abiding in the Vine
By Lahry Sibley
Jesus said in…..
John 15:5 I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
What a statement to make and what does it tell us? First of all, Jesus says that “I am the vine”, “I” being Himself. There are not many vines, not many ways, not many plans for salvation, only one. Jesus the Christ (Messiah, Anointed One). Anything…

JESUS UNDER OUR NOSES
Has anyone ever considered that Jesus may be around us all the time? When Jesus came 2000 years ago, most did not recognize Him. Have you considered that what you are looking for is all around you every day? Do you see Him? Have you seen Him?
I'm not talking about some smoked filled room with flashing lights and thunder rolling, beloved. I'm talking about Jesus. He is often right under our noses, and we esteem Him not.
"What do you mean, Lahry"?…

A FRIEND OF SOULS
There are hermit souls that live withdrawn
In the peace of their self-content;
There are souls, like stars, that dwell apart
In a fellowless firmament;
There are pioneer souls that blaze their paths
Where highways never ran;
But let me live by the side of the road,
And be a friend to man.
- Samuel Walter Foss’
I want to be a friend of souls. I want to stand by the side of the road, waiting for weary travelers, in places…

Real Healing
by Lahry Sibley
I’ve been a Christian for 40 years or so. I’ve been in lots of churches, various denominations, and listened to some great messages. I’ve also listened to a lot of religion and down right error. No subject has been preached on more than healing, no doubt. Why? Because we have lots of folks that are sick and infirmed. The other is that there is more emphasis put on physical needs than spiritual needs.
I was in…

There is a better way to walk with God.
Mt. 11:28-30
“Come unto Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Most interpret these verses to refer to the good way of salvation and the rest…

Success in Ministry
By Lahry Sibley
Not long ago we were in a home meeting. We have this one lady in our group who lives alone and has some emotional difficulties dealing with that situation. She arrived at the home meeting in a shambles. One of the other ladies just went right over too her, wrapped her arms around her and just held her close. In just a few minutes, all was so much better.
The meeting was themed around spiritual gifts. I was asked to minister on…

REPENTANCE, SEPARATING THE PRECIOUS FROM THE VILE
By Lahry Sibley
I've said for a long time now, repentance must come before revival. Modern church is all about men, the self appointed "go between" God and man. My Bible says my Jesus is the Head of His Church.
Church is not something we attend on Sunday (which in and of itself is an abomination to God and contrary to His Commandment that begins with "Remember"), but a life we live together, moment by moment, being anxious…

Dear saints,
I know I'm not the only one that "Eliab" has tried to destroy. Oh I could write a book on this.
My wife and I visited a dear sister and brother for a day and a night. They encouraged us so. What God spoke into my heart while there, was a clear message in my spirit, but I had difficulty in putting it into words. Since February, God has been telling me things, then directly sending someone to me with a message of confirmation and then confirming it also in His…

Rev 2:2 I know your industry and activities, laborious toil and trouble, and your patient endurance, and how you cannot tolerate wicked [men] and have tested…

PURE APOSTOLIC CALLING
By Lahry Sibley
God never changes, and the way in which He interacts and relates with us never changes. Instead, the influence the world has on the church lends us to perceive that various trends in mainstream Christianity are somehow acceptable or supposedly reflect the heart and intent of God.
But if we have not understood God as God, as Who He in fact is, then we will never apprehend the ultimate purposes and callings for the church. We will…

THE CHRISTIAN, THE TELEVSION SET, AND THE WORD OF GOD
THE STRANGER
Author Unknown
A few months before I was born, my dad met a stranger who was new to
our town. From the beginning, Dad was fascinated with this enchanting
newcomer and soon invited him to live with our family. The stranger
was quickly accepted and was around to welcome me into the world a
few months later.
As I grew up I never questioned his place in our family. Mom…

The Evidence of being Born Again…….
By Lahry Sibley
A common phrase among those churches that refer to themselves as “Pentecostal” is the saying “baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues”. Whether you are Pentecostal or not, if you are active in a church or watch so called “Christian TV”, you have probably heard this term.
The validity of this statement or phrase is scripturally argumentative in and of itself. But that is not…

Dear Friends,
One of the most difficult things for “believers” to do, is to take an honest look within. It’s easy to “examine” others, but what about us? After all, on judgment day, our own personal account will be under very close scrutiny, without deception, nothing hidden. Everything will be laid open and bare. So I would think it better to take a look now, than later.
I’m going to ask you to do something that will take a lot of courage on your part. I’m going to ask you to read…

THE TEMPTATIONS OF A SANCTIFIED MAN
How can a man that is "dead to sin" be "tempted?" asked an earnest but unsanctified Christian of me some time ago. "If the very tendencies and inclinations to sin be destroyed, what is there in the man to respond to a solicitation to evil?
This is a question which every man will ask sooner or later, and when God showed me the answer, it threw great light on my pathway and helped me to defeat Satan in many a pitched battle.
The…
