Wow! Thank you all so much!

Greetings Christian Friends! I am so uplifted by all the warm welcomes and responses.THANK YOU! Fellowshipping with other Christians is such a gift,no matter how we do it,online,by phone,mail,or in person. I am amazed every day at the power of Gods' love. All the years I wasted,believing I could handle my own life without His help! But,the Lord wants us to leave the past in the past,and go forward in our new lives in Him,so that is what I do.

My mother is 82 years old and in a nursing home… Continue

HE IS THERE

~♥~ He Is There ~♥~

Sometimes it feels as if I am alone

And I am drifting through time

A wandering soul on an eternal journey

The people I know are all about

Their busy lives, passing me by

It is at these times that I reflect

Turning to the only One

Who is never too busy

I look up to…

~~~~~FORGIVE THOSE WHO DO YOU WRONG~~~~~~
Father Forgive Them
As Jesus hung on the cross he said; "'Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.'" (Luke 23:34) No one was asking for forgiveness nor was anyone even acknowledging that they were doing the smallest thing wrong. Jesus didn't wait for any of that however; he just laid out the forgiveness up front.
This is a wonderful pattern for us and I think it's one of the hardest to practice. Someone… Continue
How God works with me
I want to start by saying often I feel like I am a lost sheep who has gone astray and I hate that feeling. But yet, in that deepest sadness my heart feels, God seems to always let me know He has never left me or gone astray from me and He is always there for me and wants me back with His flock. I will pray often before I open my bible especially if something specific is on my heart and always I open by bible random at times after my prayer and always there is a referance to my hearts question.… Continue
We were created to love God....but why?
I once had a very interesting conversation with a fellow Christian friend. He said " We were created to seek, worship, and love God with all of what we are...but why?" What does God want this for? After numerous conversations here is what we discussed:
God wants to to love, believe and obey him.
God wants us to choose him over Satan
God created us with free will- the will to choose God/Satan
God sent Jesus for us
God loves us, created us and watches us
God… Continue
The Same Afflictions.
The Same Afflictions.
In these end days, we are seeing the prophecies being fulfilled. There are many afflictions that are being manifested throughout the world. Floods, famine, petulance, wars, rumors of wars, fighting among different religions, infighting among families, mothers aborting their babies, churches forbidding ministers to marry, and the rich are being devastated by financial crises.
I have received many letter from our brothers and sisters around the… Continue
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE CONTEMPTUOUS?
What does it mean to be contemptuous?
The LORD spoke to me about what it means to be contemptuous.
Contemptuous means;
( showing or expressing contempt or disdain, scornful, sneering, being insolent, arrogant, and haughty.)
Contempt of court is a court order which, in the context of a court trial or hearing deems an individual as having been disrespectful of the court, its process, and… Continue
THE CHARACTER OF GOD
THE CHARACTER OF GOD:
Peoples' ideas of God -- what He is or is not, His form or existence or non existence,
what is it that they are thinking and how are they interpreting it?
Just what do they conjure up in their minds , when you talk about GOD?
How are the unchurched thinking? those who have never been to Sunday school and had even the basics of…
On that Webpage today, Newt Gingrich, former House Speaker and now a FOX News Contributor, has written: America at Risk: Two Novels President Obama Should Read. A Picture Frame
*A Picture of God * By: James Cook
What God really looks like is something beyond our imaginations or visual efforts. He was someone that could be easily rejected if you saw Him face to face. According to scripture, He was a pretty sad sight to look at in the human form. Sounds like Jesus had some physical appearances that could chase folks away. Therefore, Jesus being the Son of God, and having the Royal genetics of His Father in Him, wouldn't you think that Jesus would represent… Continue
Love One Another
*Love One Another *
By James Cook
Be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other's faults because of your love. Always keep yourselves united in the Holy Spirit, and bind yourselves together with peace. We are all one body, we have the same Spirit, and we have all been called to the same glorious future. Ephesians 4:2-4 NLT
Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness. Whoever loves his brother lives… Continue
Laughter-itis or Pucker-itis
Laughter-itis Or Pucker-itis By: James Cook
Now what sort of title is this? Well, to define laughter - look in the mirror, to define itis - touch a hotplate, to define pucker - suck a lemon. Itis means inflammation, so put some warmth in your laughter, and burn it into another's frown.
One of the greatest stress relievers God has given us is laughter. Laughter-itis restores what pressures in life have stolen. Proverbs 17:22 puts it this way, "A happy heart is like a good… Continue
Surrendering Strengthens Your Surrendering
*Surrendering Strengthens Your Surrendering.* By: James Cook
What a world we live in when we hear how negative surrendering is. So many think it is unfair in surrendering to the laws of the land, peace officiers, and etc. To put it quite frankly, as people we have a tendency to rebel against any form of restriction before us. It is usually viewed as a negative to us, because we lose our control with a higher power that has a set of silver bracelets, a gun on his side, and a little… Continue
Say No To Profanity
*Say No To Profanity* By: James Cook
Years ago I would find it insulting when someone would tell me to watch my language in front of others, but it was understandable in the presence of women outside my circle of peers. The painful thing about it was, that I was using profanity as my main language, and English as a second, and how dare anyone try and change me. However, there were those who expressed themselves quite boldly of how degrading it was to listen to me. Sitting in an AA…
What is Truth?
*What is Truth?*
By James Cook
Many times we can embrace those lingering thoughts that captivate our minds. Then there are those secretive ones that stand out from all the others, and we try to convince ourselves we have suppressed them deep into our confidential inner prison to prevent any ill-responses toward us. Some of the reasons that can restrain us from accepting honest feedback can be our pride, fear, what if someone finds out about my thoughts, and on and on it can…
The Picture Frame
*The Picture Frame*
BY:James Cook
Many times when we have a picture that really means the world to us, we try to find a picture frame to compliment our most treasured moments in time. There are so many types of frames that we can get confused and indecisive as to which one would bring out the beauty that is encased within the picture. There are the rustic frames, oak frames, plastic frames, metal frames and etc., and to purchase one suitable to meet our need can be very trying.… Continue
Encourage Ourselves
*Encourage Ourselves*
By:James Cook
There are times in life when things become overbearing and it seems to pull us down, and in these times we long for some encouragement or direction by another.
However, in times as such, it can seem like we are fighting the battle all alone. Sadly, there are those who can turn their backs on those when they are at their most vulnerable time for further despair. This can come even in biological families, or brothers and sisters in the…
