About ten years ago, I was at a crossroads in my personal life, and wanted to know God's will for me--particularly as it related to serving Him in ministry. I had been told about a book, Experiencing God, and so I carefully read it, its Scriptural support, and interviewed myself with its questions. I return to it as my solid resource on ascertaining the will of God in my life. Here is what the author says about knowing the will of God;
The testimony of the Bible from… Continue

I have come to a point in my life that I know more than anything that I need God my savior in my life. I have had many trials in my marraige to my husband Michael. We have been through alot, most I think today would have walked away and filed for a divorce if they were me. I have never loved another like I love this man. That doesn't mean I have always acted like I wanted to be married to him. I have had people tell me that I am crazy, but when I sit and truely think of my marriage I just can not… Continue
The Eighth Chapter THE INTIMATE FRIENDSHIP OF JESUS
WHEN Jesus is near, all is well and nothing seems difficult. When He is absent, all is hard. When Jesus does not speak within, all other comfort is empty, but if He says only a word, it brings great consolation.
Did not Mary Magdalen rise at once from her weeping when Martha said to her: "The Master is come, and calleth for thee"? Happy is the…
This is a skit we performed as a practice session to our Easter Sunday performance. It begins with a blacksmith and an assistant working with an unknowing Satan in the backround. Satan has one of his demons to order some chains and places certains sins as a symbolic link in the chains. Watch as Jesus comes to lift the burdens of the sin bound chains. It ends with an Easter spin that reminds us of the glorious act that our Lord sacrificed for us.
For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.2.ch.16.9 roverbs 15:3 The eyes of the LORD are in every place, Watching the evil and the good. Jeremiah 16:17 "For My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, nor is their iniquity concealed from My eyes. Zechariah 4:10 "For who has despised the day of small things? But these seven… Continue
We have all sinned and deserve God’s judgment. God, the Father, sent His only Son to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in Him. Jesus, the creator and eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that He died for our sins, taking the punishment that we deserve, was buried, and rose from the dead according to the Bible. If you truly believe and trust this in your heart, receiving Jesus alone as your Savior, declaring, "Jesus is Lord," you will be saved from judgement… Continue

The Bible says there is only one way to Heaven
Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me." (John 14:6)
Good works cannot save you.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Trust Jesus Christ today! Here's what you must do:
Admit you are a sinner.
"For all have sinned, and come short of… Continue

VAIN is the man who puts his trust in men, in created things. Do not be ashamed to serve others for the love of Jesus Christ and to seem poor in this world. Do not be self-sufficient but place your trust in God. Do what lies in your power and God will aid your good will. Put no trust in your own learning nor in the cunning of any man, but rather in the grace of God Who…
Here's how you can fall in love with the God Jesus knows:
Seek true change in your life. God has great purposes for your life and wants to help you grow as a person. Invite God to lead you toward the best life possible and transform you into the person He wants you to become. Understand that real change comes only by changing the way you think, since your thoughts lead to your actions. So commit to examining the stories you have in your mind about God and evaluating whether they're… Continue

Here is a powerful message from my 27 year old son John. This is a timely word for many in the Body of Christ. You are going to be extremely blessed by this one.
I encourage you to sit back and receive the comfort and strength of the Holy Spirit through His Word. Whatever trial or test you are facing, know this - God is going to bring you through it victoriously - in His might and power. He is fighting your battle - even at this very hour!
Rev 2:1 TO THE angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Ephesus write: These are the words of Him Who holds the seven stars [which are the messengers of the seven churches] in His right hand, Who goes about among the seven golden lampstands [which are the seven churches]:
Rev 2:2 I know your industry and activities, laborious toil and trouble, and your patient endurance, and how you cannot tolerate wicked [men] and have tested… Continue
(If we are deeply concerned about the state of the church; if we shudder to see God’s holy Name abused and misused, not only by the world but also by His own people; if we are determined to obey God and be used by God no matter what it costs us–if we are not careful, we can become harsh and judgmental and so very, very blind to our own sins. We must always carefully examine ourselves and invite God to do so also. We must see our sins as He sees our sins: vile, disgusting and what caused Him…Continue
Acts 19.21-41 Afterward Paul felt compelled by the Spirit to go over to Macedonia and Achaia before going to Jerusalem. “And after that,” he said, “I must go on to Rome!” He sent his two assistants, Timothy and Erastus, ahead to Macedonia while he stayed awhile longer in the province of Asia. About that time, serious trouble developed in Ephesus concerning the Way. It began with Demetrius, a silversmith who had a large business manufacturing silver shrines of the Greek goddess Artemis. He kept… Continue

Praise the Lord for this new day!! His mercies are new every morning. Ahhhh!! We can start again, leaving yesterday's hassles behind, and tackle the things that bothered us then with a new vigour and a fresh mind. Thank the Lord for a refreshing sleep.
And as I sit with Lord on our front verandah, enjoying my morning cuppa, I marvel in this day. For us it is the first of spring. As I soak up the warmth of the morning sun, I also soak… Continue
Half-way through the day
With so much left undone;
I’m tired and I’m tempted
To quit what I’ve begun.
Bowed ‘neath expectations
Of what I ought to be..
Falling short again, I feel
Like I’ve run out of me.
Oh, Lord, please be my strength
When I cannot go on.
Battles I cannot fight
You have already won.
My legs are too weary
Another hill to climb..
At the end of my strength
Almighty Lord, be… Continue

I have been going through a period of depression and despair, especially this past weekend. I wasn't sure what the problem was. I took some antidepressants but that didn't seem to work. I have been really tired but unable to get a full night's sleep.
I am scheduled for a complete physical on Thursday. At almost 56 years of age I am sure some of my parts aren't working as well as they used to. I can certainly feel the difference. And I have gained weight like never before. So, I guess… Continue

"Hard words indeed break no bones, but many a heart has been broken by them." - Matthew Henry
We live in a world filled with reckless words - cutting, killing, careless, and irresponsible words which are spoken rashly, quickly, hastily, inadvisably, or indiscreetly. The result? There are many broken people who are seeking desperately to function in everyday life and yet cannot seem to move ahead. They look around at others and wonder - What makes me so different? What is holding me… Continue
