One bite at a time.
The Word of God is invaluable for us
to understand God, the world, and our place in it.
Why? Because
All Scripture is inspired by God and is
useful to teach us what is true and
to make us realize what is wrong in our lives.
It corrects us when we are wrong and
teaches us to do what is right.
God uses it to prepare and
equip his people to do every good work.*
God
uses…

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with a passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my…

The End is near. The battle lines grow clearer daily. Christians need to
make up our minds that we will stand firm in the face of attacks. The
world hated the Lord Jesus before it hated us. We must "count it all
joy" to suffer the disdain of this fallen world. JESUS CHRIST IS LORD.
HE IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE. NO ONE…

Part one of "Healing" was inspired by our Lord. Placed into my heart to be shared as testimony of what God can do and wants to use through us to reach out to a dark world.
This morning after my time with Him I felt He was urging an elaboration.
Some will see this elaboration as preaching but I am relying on God for His will and HIS WORDS to help me relay His Message to all of us including myself.
God does speak to us , but He always speaks to us about things that still…

TIPS TO CONSERVE HEAT AND MONEY THIS WINTER....ALSO SHARING MY OWN STORY
By Stacy Johnson | 4 days ago
THIS IS WHAT I DID LAST WINTER....I FOUND ONE OF THOSE LITTLE ELECTRIC FIREPLACES IN FINGERHUT CATALOG, IT WAS $200. I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW GOOD THAT LITTLE HEATER WORKED, SAVED ME, AND PAT LOT OF MONEY...AS WE HAVE TO USE KEROSENE. VERY EXPENSIVE. SO THIS YEAR I FOUND ONE FOR $99. IT IS SMALLER BUT WORKS JUST AS GOOD. HEATS A ROOM. COST ALMOST NOTHING TO RUN IT. IT…

Not really sure where to start on this so it may be scattered.. I was in therapy for PTSD, and depression most of my life.. I haven't seen anyone in almost 8 years now... I'm tryin to handle things on my own, instead of relying on an anti-depressant.. My past is much like most people's.. My parent's divorced when I was less than 10 years old.. I spent my childhood growing up in 2 seperate households... Which I think is where my… Continue

I awoke this morning at 2:30 AM and could not get back to sleep. Seems like forever long ago at times like that I would just get up, turn my computer on and just write or chat on line with the Christian Internet family that God had blessed me with,Praise Jesus and pray together until sleep came.
So much has happened in such a few short months that it seems like eons ago.
A subject was brought up a few days ago and being on limited time to reply, my answer was short and…

A natural law is gravity. We can't see gravity, we can't touch it but we can see the effects. Same thing goes with supernatural law. We will always see the effects of God's supernatural power, love, and mercy.
The saying, "You've got to see it, to believe it".. does not apply to us as believers. Instead, we have to "believe it, to see it"! Try it! And experience the love that our Father has for you.

So Lately I have been talking to a lot of committed Christians who for no apparent reason seem to think that God has stopped listening to them. They feel abandoned by HIM or like he is hiding from them. They say things like: "It feels like my prayers are just bouncing of the walls." or "I have been asking God for _____ for weeks and he…

I have been told so many times that everyone has a story. And you know what, its true. However, what many fail to realize is that each person is writing his or her story each day and each person decides what will happen in his or her story. So many people play the role of victim or the pacifier or the rejected one or the lonely one. But it's YOUR story, why not rewrite a chapter or two or three. Why settle for less than being the hero, or the one who gets back up on your feet? Why not be the…

That ruthless invader of all happiness!
(John MacDuff, "Grapes of Eschol")
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. In My Father's house are many mansions! I am going there to prepare a place for you. I will come back and take you to be with Me--that you also may be where I am!" John 14:1-3
The verse speaks of PERMANENCY--they are "mansions." The word in the original is not a tent or temporary shelter--but a durable residence, never to be altered or demolished. "The…

No one can do this for you. Often in life we try to avoid the hard place. We want problems and situations that we find appalling to just go away if we simply ignore them. But that doesn't work. Every person must come to that place where he/she must take responsibility and then action. No one can take the course of action that you must take for yourself. No one can do for you what you must do for yourself. Anything less that your effort and your input, will be a temporary solution at best. Jesus…
