The Cutest things Children say is Christ like

Children can say the cutest things that adults don’t forget. I am of the opinion that God’s little angels speak from the heart. Their words are sincere and genuine no matter how brutally honest they can be.

Jesus loves the little children; they are…

Mystery, Wonder, Confusion, and Controversy. Romans 8

Good Day!

Mystery, wonder, confusion, and controversy … Why, about what?  The third person of the Trinity – the Holy Spirit.  As we move forward in Romans, Paul is going to reference and discuss the actions of the Spirit, so let’s step back a moment, and refresh our understanding.

One of the last things Jesus said to his followers before he ascended into Heaven was, “you will receive power when the Holy Spirit…

Words of The Day

Living near the End

Hebrew 11:13: 2 Peter3:10-11: Matthew 28:19-20: 2 Corinthians 5:18-21

Believers should eagerly seek Christ’s return, not the world’s applause( Hebrew 11;13) These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they strangers and pilgrims on the earth. Jesus outlined the signs of the last days precisely…

RAMBLING: Isaiah

Isaiah 6

Listened to Charles Price and his sermon on

Isaiah 6 was most challenging and enjoyable. Mr. Price stated something that

really hit home with me. He said there is a place and time to preach "Woe unto

you...sermons however what we need to focus on is bringing Christ to the people

in a Christ-like manner. He referred to Isaiah who cried out to God…

WHO IS IN CHARGE ?

WHO CAUSES DISASTERS: GOD OR SATAN?

The Bible says that God is omnipotent; he can do anything (Gen 17:1, 18:14, Ex 6:3, Job 42:2, Luke 1:37, Mark 10:27, Rev 19:6). Man's fate is in God's hands (1 Sam 2:6-7).

God is omniscient (Ps 139:1-6, Prov 15:3, 5:21, Isa 44:7, Matt 12:25, and many others).

God is also good, just and righteous (Deut 32:4, Dan 9:14, and many others).

God also created everything (Gen 1, Prov 26:10, Col 1:16, Eph 3:9, Rev 4:11, etc.). Including evil… Continue

Who Are the Meek?

Meekness is not weakness. Sometimes we confuse the two. But the difference between a meek person and weak person is this: a weak person can't do anything. A meek person, on the other hand, can do something but chooses not to.

Jesus said, "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth" (Matthew 5:5). The word meek from the original language was used to describe reining in a stallion. It is the idea of a horse…

Fast-A Three Day Journey

I strongly believe that if God has called one person to preach the Word, but yet that person says no or keeps putting it off, God will send someone else in that position. For example: one time at church I felt like I needed to pray for someone with hands on their backs, but I didn't. The push of God was so strong that I began to cry, but I was too scared. God kept saying, "Go do it. Don't be afraid." But I ignored Him. I turned around and saw that someone else was praying for this person.…

The Teacup Story

Joyce Meyer is one of my favorite reader and  teacher and gives it with her whole heart♥

TEACUP STORY – BY JOYCE MEYER.

A couple went into an antique shop and saw this BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL MAGNIFICENT little tea cup sitting high up on a shelf. And they just fell in love with that tea cup. They said,” We have got to have that teacup!” They were admiring the teacup – all of a…

PRAISE GOD!!

I just thought I'd share with you some wonderful news.  It might seem small and trivial to others but for those of you who have a relationship with God, you will see it is no small thing.  Some of you may know my beautiful husband, Gordon, is in a nursing home with end-stage Alzheimer's and cannot talk, and cannot walk (albeit without a handling belt and a nurse either side); if he tries to walk, his legs - which are like sticks - turn to jelly and he has suffered many falls.  He is now…

No condemnation ... what the heck does that mean? Romans 8.1

Here we go—another ‘tion’ word in Romans.

Condemnation – the state of being condemned

Justification – the act of being made right with God

Sanctification – the process of the Holy Spirit working in us to make us more like Christ.

We have just gotten 'up close and personal' with Paul as he struggled with his sin condition, and then we turn the page, and he tells us that, in spite of our sin, if we are in Christ, we are not condemned … we are not doomed.  (key…

The Blessing to my 18 yr old Son

8 March 2011

Ryan,

Well, the little boy is now a man! Happy 18th Birthday.

I so wish that as your Dad, I could take you by the hand when you wake up each morning and guide you through all the pitfalls that lie ahead. Throw the big yellow WARNING signs up that say “DANGER AHEAD” rather it be with your relationships, your future career, your financial business, all those things that life has out there.

I also wish I could be there for every time that I see you smile. Oh how… Continue

A Perfect Friend

PROVERBS 18:24 RSV

friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Would you like to have a perfect friend?

A friend who loved you no matter what you did.

A friend who would always be there when you needed them.

A friend who knew you intimately yet still loved you.

Cindy deVille Newsletters - Prophetic Insight

Share There is a great battle raging for the souls of mankind, and as Christ’s return draws nearer, we see this battle intensifying. As never before, the church must be ready for the days ahead, armed with the truth of God’s living Word. Today, I want to share with you a vision God recently gave me of pulpits shaking.

The good news is we believe this shaking we are about to speak of is… Continue

God Is Like

I thought you all might like these little sayings  that someone else wrote. They are so true. God is like Bayer Asprin- He works miracles. God is like a Ford- He's got a better idea. God is like Coke- He's the real thing. God is like- Hallmark Cards- He cares enough to send His best. God is like- Tide He gets the stains out, the others leave behind. God is like General Electric- He brings good things to life. God is like Wal-Mart-He has everything. God is like Alka-Seltzer-Try Him, You'll like… Continue

On resisting temptation ... or not. Romans 7

“There was a time in my life that I built highways to temptation.  Meeting them at the door took too long.  Now I find that there are very few temptations that I am interested in pursuing.  Is that wisdom, depression, boredom or God?” a reader wrote, in response to “Meet them at the door, and don’t let them in,” my last morning briefing.

Wow!  Now that is such an interesting personal insight, isn’t it?  Where he admits that he formerly entertained temptation, now he seems to have…
