Good Day!
Mystery, wonder, confusion, and controversy … Why, about what? The third person of the Trinity – the Holy Spirit. As we move forward in Romans, Paul is going to reference and discuss the actions of the Spirit, so let’s step back a moment, and refresh our understanding.
One of the last things Jesus said to his followers before he ascended into Heaven was, “you will receive power when the Holy Spirit…

Living near the End
Hebrew 11:13: 2 Peter3:10-11: Matthew 28:19-20: 2 Corinthians 5:18-21
Believers should eagerly seek Christ’s return, not the world’s applause( Hebrew 11;13) These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they strangers and pilgrims on the earth. Jesus outlined the signs of the last days precisely…

Listened to Charles Price and his sermon on
Isaiah 6 was most challenging and enjoyable. Mr. Price stated something that
really hit home with me. He said there is a place and time to preach "Woe unto
you...sermons however what we need to focus on is bringing Christ to the people
in a Christ-like manner. He referred to Isaiah who cried out to God…

Meekness is not weakness. Sometimes we confuse the two. But the difference between a meek person and weak person is this: a weak person can't do anything. A meek person, on the other hand, can do something but chooses not to.
Jesus said, "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth" (Matthew 5:5). The word meek from the original language was used to describe reining in a stallion. It is the idea of a horse…

I strongly believe that if God has called one person to preach the Word, but yet that person says no or keeps putting it off, God will send someone else in that position. For example: one time at church I felt like I needed to pray for someone with hands on their backs, but I didn't. The push of God was so strong that I began to cry, but I was too scared. God kept saying, "Go do it. Don't be afraid." But I ignored Him. I turned around and saw that someone else was praying for this person.…

TEACUP STORY – BY JOYCE MEYER.
A couple went into an antique shop and saw this BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL MAGNIFICENT little tea cup sitting high up on a shelf. And they just fell in love with that tea cup. They said,” We have got to have that teacup!” They were admiring the teacup – all of a…

I just thought I'd share with you some wonderful news. It might seem small and trivial to others but for those of you who have a relationship with God, you will see it is no small thing. Some of you may know my beautiful husband, Gordon, is in a nursing home with end-stage Alzheimer's and cannot talk, and cannot walk (albeit without a handling belt and a nurse either side); if he tries to walk, his legs - which are like sticks - turn to jelly and he has suffered many falls. He is now…

Here we go—another ‘tion’ word in Romans.
Condemnation – the state of being condemned
Justification – the act of being made right with God
Sanctification – the process of the Holy Spirit working in us to make us more like Christ.
We have just gotten 'up close and personal' with Paul as he struggled with his sin condition, and then we turn the page, and he tells us that, in spite of our sin, if we are in Christ, we are not condemned … we are not doomed. (key…

“There was a time in my life that I built highways to temptation. Meeting them at the door took too long. Now I find that there are very few temptations that I am interested in pursuing. Is that wisdom, depression, boredom or God?” a reader wrote, in response to “Meet them at the door, and don’t let them in,” my last morning briefing.
Wow! Now that is such an interesting personal insight, isn’t it? Where he admits that he formerly entertained temptation, now he seems to have…
