The time is here …what if the time is now? Romans 13.11

This life is not all there is . . . one thing is sure—all of us will die.  Folks say there are no guarantees, that one hundred percent of us is going to die, and not on our own terms.  Paul wrote, “It is now time for you to wake up from your sleep, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.”…

MOTHER'S QUIET TIME EXPERIENCE

MOTHER’S QUIET TIME EXPERIENCE!

When my mother was 70 years she had one breast removed due to cancer and the Specialist gave her two tablets to take for the rest of her life and she took them for some time.

One day during her quiet time with the Lord, He said to her, "May, are those two tablets keeping you alive?"

She answered, "No Lord, You give me breath each day."

Later in the day, when it was time to take tablets, she remembered…

Revelation 11

1And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.

2But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. …

2 Cor 4:7-9

2 Cor 4:7-9 GWT

7Our bodies are made of clay, yet we have the treasure of the Good News in them. This shows that the superior power of this treasure belongs to God and doesn't come from us.

We are able to show those around us. The benefit's of the power we have inside us.

We can remind ourselves of this truth, weak our bodies may be, but powerful is God.

8 In every way we're troubled, but we aren't crushed by our troubles. We're frustrated, but we don't give up. 9 We're… Continue

completion

Long ago I left my home,

Where I had spent my youth.

There had to be more out there,

I had to find the truth.

I stumbled over others,

Into many lives and out,

Never finding comfort,

Still so full fo doubt.

Searching for completion,

Wanting to feel whole.

I couldn't understand,

The emptiness in my soul.

I finally got down on my knees,

Cried out to God in prayer.

Asking…

The Language of Love.

Owe no man anything but to love one anot

her. Romans 13.8

‘But of course I love you . . .’ the mother said to her teen-aged daughter.

‘I’m sure you do, Mom, I just don’t feel it,’ she flipped her hair over her shoulder, and walked out of the room.

‘Wow…how could she not feel my love for her?’ the mother asked herself, troubled. Why, I have loved her since I knew I was carrying her in my womb! And the day I gave birth to her…well, it was the happiest day of…

HOW DO WE KNOW WHEN WE ARE BEING DECEIVED

Judges 16:6 So Delilah said to Samson,"please tell me what makes you so strong and what it would take to tie you up securely." We are often deceived when we want to believe what we know we should'nt. When our conscience tells us no and our desires tell us yes,we should listen to conscience.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true...

Acts 17:11 They searched the Scriptures day after day to check up on Paul and Silas...

They told me...

They told me because of my hair, and Bohemian ways, God would never talk through me.  They were wrong.

They told me, I would never be effective, when I laid hands on another.

They were wrong.

When I thought I was more, than what I was.  I was wrong.

God will not be limited. He won't fit in our thinking.

We must fit in His.

People will tell us what we can't do, we tell ourself even tell God,

But as in Mark 9:23

Jesus said to him, "As far…

Heavenly Father I come before you today asking you to first forgive our indifference and un concern for those in need of prayer and counseling. Some times we get so caught up in our own little world , that we can not see the need of others, maybe feel that we are so unqualified to help that we just say we will leave it in your hands..

Help us to remember that we are your hands and feet. Some time we are so busy preaching on the internet that we cannot hear your call to hurting humanity.… Continue

Love … it’s all about this. Romans 13.8-10

Love … it’s all about this. Romans 13.8-10 Love pays attention. Love notices. Love actually sees. Love holds. Love gives room to others. Love lasts. Love gives when it thinks it has given all it can. Love thinks of others first. Love understands. Love expresses itself. People don’t really think of Paul as an expert on love, but he has had a lot to say about love! After all, before this letter to the church at Rome, he had written the greatest explanation of love to the church at Corinth. ‘Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.’1 To the Romans, he highlighted that ‘God demonstrated his great love for us in this: while we were still sinners Christ died for us.’2 Then Paul reassured them that absolutely nothing could separate them from the love of God.3 He instructed them to love one another sincerely—wholeheartedly. ‘Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.’4 And then, “Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet," and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.” Romans 13.8-10, ESV Wake up and pay attention now. Allow me to segue . . . The questioning had gone on all day. ‘What about this? What about that?’ they wrangled, looking for ways to trip him up—ways to catch him in a contradiction. And then the most exacting of experts stepped to the front with a point sure to stymie him . . . ‘So, Rabbi,’ one said mockingly, ‘which is the greatest of the commandments?’ Jesus did not even hesitate. ‘Love the Lord thy God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. And the second is this, love your neighbor as yourself.’5 Hmm… okay, now along comes Paul---Paul who had not stood with the other pious Jews on that day or on any other day listening to Jesus … no, when Jesus walked the streets of Palestine, Paul was not in attendance. Oh, he was in and around Jerusalem, but he was a devout young Jewish man learning at the feet of the most prominent and highly regarded Jewish teacher of the day, Gamaliel, forming his strong theological beliefs that would stand him in direct opposition to Jesus! UNTIL of course, the resurrected Lord stepped into Paul’s path on the road to Damascus, where he had a one-on-one conversion experience. Yes, God always gets his man. But here’s the point I want to make with you—when Paul wrote about love fulfilling the Law, (a kind of review of Jesus’ same teaching), he had not been there that day. You must understand that he also could not just flip back to the Gospels in his Bible to read Jesus’ words. He did not have the gospels to read—nor had he heard Jesus’ teaching on the subject! So, how did he come up with the same equation about love fulfilling the Law ? Only one way. Direct revelation. Jesus revealed it to him himself. How do I know? After Paul’s miraculous conversion, through his encounter with Jesus Christ, when he came to know Jesus as his Messiah (Acts 9), he made it clear, ‘the gospel I preached is not something that man made up, I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.’6 That is why Paul wrote so emphatically “owe no man anything except love”. Paul knew that if we had a debt to repay, honor would command us to repay it—whether it was a loan or a mortgage, whatever. But on love…..that is where the onus is on us. Ha! The owe-ness is on us. Jesus had personally conveyed to Paul that life, for the Christian, is to be all about love. And Paul got it. Boy, did he get it! Praying for our persecuted family in Christ

God is on the move, in many places around the world today. One place he is moving is among Muslims in Southeast Asia. I have a friend who is a Pastor that has asked for prayer for new members of the faith - who are standing for Christ in the country where he ministers; it's a country that persecutes people who "convert" to Christianity.

There is an urgent issue that I would ask every believer to pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ -

My friend the Pastor has…

All is good

As I walk this path w/ Jesus, Holy Spirit shows me more and more, All is good.

In Phil 2:12, Paul tell us to,’ work out our salvation w/ fear and trembling’

I am under the “Wings of His Protection,” I am in His Hands.

1 Cor 10:13 … He will not allow us to be tempted beyond our power to resist. But when we are tempted, He will also give us the ability to endure the temptation as our way to escape.

So when events come, either at us, or we to them. I thinks we always have the… Continue

Obey the government….really, always? Romans 13.1-7

What is our responsibility to the government? Paul closed out Romans 12 with a list of the concrete ways we ought to love one another, and promote harmony within the family of God. Now he turns his attention to instruct Christians living under the rule of a secular government.

Paul writes: Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore he who resists the authorities…

RIGHTEOUSNESS

Human is sinful in nature.

There is no one righteous,  not even one.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness.

Our Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross so the sinners could live in righteousness, according to His grace and mercy.

God has given us the Scriptures so we could have an instruction for righteousness.

Reading, understanding and doing Gods word is the key to…

Revelation 10

1And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:

2And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,

3And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.

4And when the seven thunders had uttered… Continue

Revelation 9

1And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.

3And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the…
