Do Your Trust the Lord

This past weekend we had a Ladies retreat at a local lodge, it has the most beautiful gardens full of nooks and crannies where one can just sit and reflect on the word of the lord, and I was sitting near one of the many ponds on the property and as I was just thinking about how far the Lord has brought me since the days when I was homeless and living on the street

He gave me a vision which is just so relevant for all of us today, I saw a number of lovely gilded bird cages…

CHRISTIAN STANDARD

2 TIMOTHY 3:16   ALL SCRIPTURE IS GOD BREATHED AND IS USEFUL FOR TEACHING, REBUKING, CORRECTING AND TRAINING IN RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Clearly the Scriptures is the Christian standards in our everyday life. But it seems that interpretations of the Bible separate a lot of professing true Bible believers. Why does alot of people are interpreting the scriptures in a way that will conform to their cultures and traditions, sometimes in accordance to the law of the land? Why does human intelligence…

WISDOM COMES FROM GOD

In a culture filled with moral depravity and sin induging pressure we need to be very wise and true wisdom goes beyond amassing worldly knowledge. All those who reject Gods message or wisdom are foolish no matter how wise the world thinks they are. True wisdom comes from allowing what God teaches to guide us.

Words of The Day

Revelation 14

1And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads.

2And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:

3And they sung as it were a…

Bless this day!

I have smoked cigarettes for 2 years after giving up for 2 years after smoking for few years before that. I have to share with my new brothers and sisters yesterday God told me I am ready to give this wicked habit up. I smoked my last cigarette at 8pm last night, and I keep thinking where are the symptoms, I just feel so normal, fresh and alive. My children are so pleased. Please join me in thanksing the Lord for his blessings. Amen.

Does God Really Hear Us?

Does God Really Hear Us?

By Grant Phillips

How often have we talked to God, and felt the intimacy of His presence, and then other times our prayers seemed to stop just short of the ceiling? Even though we may be a child of the Most High God, we are still hampered by the frailties of our human tabernacle while upon this…

Originally Blog on Friends...but now also adhering to the Word of God.

A new friend is as new wine.

It shall grow old;

and thou shalt drink it with pleasure.

--Ecclesiastes 9:[10]

(please note: in my revised standard edition Bible, puzzlingly, this is a different verse, I am in no way advocating alcohol to those who ae opposed to the drnking of such) but the idea of growing in friendship with those who share my trust and faith in the Lord Almighty struck a cord.

Update : this has been interesting, the verse is actually apparently from…

CAN A CHRISTIAN GET DEPRESSED

So often in my own personal journey with God This question has popped up in conversations. Though I was delivered of "chronic depression" the day I received Jesus there are still times when there are slumps in that department. The difference is ,how we handle it now and what we do with it. We know now that we can either choose to stay there or keep our eyes looking up while God's strength ,mercy and comfort helps to carry us through it.

Yes, a Christian can get depressed and I pray… Continue

Who Are You? Part 2

Crisis of Faith is an Identity Crisis

Often, people with a weak identity in Christ will struggle to believe that God loves them, or that He cares for them personally. They may feel that they have lost their salvation, because of sin in their life or because of troubles that have come. “Oh, sure”, they say “I believe Jesus is The Savior – I know He died for my sins and that He rose from the dead. But, I don't think God cares about me, and I don't…

Revelation 13

1And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

2And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his…

Who Are You? Part 1

Identity Crisis or Identity in Christ

Many people suffer from an identity crisis. It's hard for many people, especially young people, to know who they are and what is their calling or purpose in life. If you were raised in an abusive situation, it's even harder.

One of the hardest things for some people is to make the adjustment from seeing God as Judge to seeing him as Father, Shepherd and loving Savior. Some…

BOUNCING BACK FROM CRITICISM : GOD'S WAY

When we have a heart of flesh, unhardened by the Spirit of God it can mean that we not only feel others pain but we are also open to personal wounds as well. Critism handled correctly the way God would have us handle it is very important in our Spiritual growth.

Proverbs 12:16-18

A wise person stays calm when insulted. An honest witness tells the truth;a false witness lies. Some people make cutting remarks, but the words of the wise bring healing.

ZION TRAIN: The Mystery of Paradise

The Mystery of Paradise

Have you or someone you know lost a child, maybe a baby or a child that was 8, 9, 10 years old or a teenager that has gone on to be with the Lord.  Where are they at right now?  What are they doing? What is taking place?  What about babies that have been…

I asked the other day," what do we think God see's when He looks at us?" I should have clearified. " When we look in a mirror what do we see?" Now look again and if you could use the Eyes of God, how different would it be?

Then to take it further, how do we see each other? And how different would that be, through the Eyes of Christ?

I can be critical at times, in how I see others, and mostly at myself.

Sometimes I use "rose colored" glasses. Not that I want to… Continue

What I feared the most...

What I feared the most came upon me!

I feared it so much, that the steps I took to avoid the fear, brought me to it.

My focus was on me and my ability.

Instead of trusting God, I allowed fear to have a louder voice.

I feared hunger so much that, I bought all the food I could.

I said to myself, “now I won’t starve.” Yet, I did not want it all up.

Soon though it spoiled. And what little did not expire, the fire consumed the rest.

I feared I would lose them, so I… Continue
