I love to go driving this time of year. There's a crispness in the air, there are bales of hay in fields, and signs announcing pumpkin farms have opened for business. Another thing that you notice is the trees. Some have lost their leaves while others have leaves turning beautiful colors, then gradually falling away from the tree.
Think of the tree as the world. Leaves falling away from the tree that they were “born” on reminds me of becoming a Christian and falling away from…

There are four things that I recommend for us to be involved in regularly. These four help to strengthen us when things are going well and help us overcome when things are difficult or God feels far away. These four are 1) Read the Word 2) Prayer 3) Positive Christian Fellowship 4) An Accountability Partner or Group.

What kind of sacrifice does God require? Philippians 2.14-18
There was brilliance in the simplicity of Jesus’ parables, as he used familiar pastoral terms to make his teaching come alive for his first century listeners. And when Paul compared…

As many of us are advancing in years it becomes increasingly important for us to stay as healthy and active as we can. Sometimes this is very difficult. I can certainly attest to this fact! But what is even more important is for us as Christians to stay flexible in our walk with Jesus. Anyone who has worked or played sports can tell you “stretching” is vital before doing any physical labor or sports activity. Loosening up our muscles and “warming” them up helps to keep us from…

Where do people go to wax philosophic these days? From my days in and around university coffee shops, I remember them as rich with lively debate—sometimes on important life issues, sometimes over hotly-debated minutia of some academic matter, but always, tables of folks locked in intense discussion. In the first-century Greek cities to which Paul traveled, it was gymnasiums that drew…

Healing Angels
The warehouse was large, as large as the auditorium we had just left and as white as a “clean room” at a research facility. It seemed unusually bright in the building, as though the contents were either preserved or incubated in light.
‘This building holds an inventory of available parts of the human body,” Clara said.
There were bins upon bins of parts of all…

Only a person who is rejected knows the pain of a love failure? Can God understand the pain of Love Failure?
When you know your dream is demolished right in front of your eyes, do you think God really understand pain the way you did?…

City folk like to plant lemon trees somewhere in their yards—have you noticed? In my area, olive trees have been en vogue for a while, too. And while I grew up in a coastal…

it goes vengence is mine, ill repay saith the lord. this means god doesnt like it when people disrespect us,reject us,hurt us or let us down.he believes in payback.he mentions forgiveness, but he believes in revenge too and cant stand unfairness and injustice. sadly when we try to get even we can get in trouble, but when god pays people back for their wrongs.he cant get in trouble, you cant report god,he cant be arrested.he is above the courts, judges, cops and etc.i love the fact that sooner or…
