I had another vision from the Lord the other day

It too was so powerful I could find no words to say

I saw in the spirit destruction all around

Heavy smoke, broken glass debris throughout the town

I asked the Lord what happened; with his eyes full of tears

He said they have not listened to my warnings now for years

I gave them many chances yet they still refused to hear

I sent many messangers but my words fell on deaf ears

This morning when I woke up I looked out and saw the rain

That explained the reason my body was in pain

But the hurt went deeper into the depths of me

I felt like I was tossing on a raging sea

I knew something was going on for when I feel this way

I know to sit and listen to what the Lord will say

Paul's letter to the Philippians is one hundred and four verses filled with encouragement and joy.  Paul didn't write this letter to explain deep theology or to deal with any particular sin.  Rather, his purpose was to express love for his friends and to encourage them (and us) to live a joy-filled Christian life.



In chapter one, Paul encourages us that God's work in us WILL continue;
