On December 12th (9 weeks 3 days) while up at the NICU and just about ready to leave for the night they decided to weigh Sawyer. This would be the first time we would ever see him without his headgear. They would put an oxygen bag next to him for some assisted breathing. Finally able to see his face!! What a treat that was!! Lynn got to hold him all bundled up in a heated blanket. The loving look on her face was what convinced me that Sawyer would always be in great hands under her care.…

Dear Father, I thank you for all Your goodness to us as Your children. We are most grateful for Your patience and understanding towards us. Help us to have the same attitude and grace toward those who bother or trouble us. Lord, help me to speak gracious and kind things about others. I read in Isaiah 6 how when he had a vision of Your holiness, he cried out, "Woe is me! I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for mine eyes have…

Our Faith-- Part 10... Entire Sanctification
We believe that entire sanctification is the work of grace subsequent to regeneration by which
believers are made "free from sin" and brought into a state of entire devotion to God, being enabled through grace
to love of God with all their hearts and to walk in holy commandments…

“John was clothed in camel’s hair, and wore a leather belt around his waist.” Mk.1:6
Reflection:
How completely different is Christ from John His precursor! His piety is natural and life-endorsing. His message is a message of joy. There is nothing gloomy about Him; everything is bathed in light and love.
What is my attitude toward the things of this world? Why do I think that I must become unnatural and opposed to life in order to be…

Dear Father, You are very gracious to all of Your children, and I thank You for all the many material blessings You have given us in this nation. Lord, help us to be good stewards over these things and not use them unwisely. Help us to be generous in our giving, and follow You, as to the people and the works You would like us to help. Help us not to get so busy enjoying our blessings, that we forget the One who gave us those blessings. Deliver us from the spirit of mammon and any trace…

Dear Heavenly Father, I praise You today for my salvation. Thank you for delivering me from hatred and evil and filling me with Your love. Lord, help me to witness to those around me about Your love for them. Give me the grace to always be loving and kind to all, even when others act differently toward me. Help me not to repeat the sins of others that I know about, but rather cover them with prayer, lest I am also tempted. Forgive our nation for its taste for gossip and its unsavory…

“Power went out from him which cured all.” Lk.6:19
Reflection:
Christ wishes to reveal Himself as powerful in our weakness. He waits only for us to reach out to Him with unshakable faith.
Even today His power is manifest. Why don’t I try to reach out to Him?
Prayer:
“Omnipotent Father, strengthen my faith and my trust. Grant me all the graces that I need. In the name of Jesus I pray. AMEN!!!”

Dear Heavenly Father,I love you today and am grateful for all of Your goodness to me. Please forgive me when I have not spoken kindly of others. Help me to guard my mouth from speaking any kind of evil. May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in Your site. Lord, I cancel all words that I have spoken that have not agreed with the Word of God. I also cancel all evil words that have been spoken against me, my family or my ministry. Lord, please forgive those…

“While we live we are constantly being delivered to death for Jesus’ sake.” 2Cor.4:10
Reflection:
We are not like Christ if we do not share in His sufferings. His Passion must become my passion.
This is how I show forth His life within me.
Prayer:
“Savior of the world, be my guide in all my ways. Help me, so that at difficult times I may remain faithful to You. In the name of Jesus I pray. AMEN!!!”
YBU all !!!

Dear Heavenly Father,Thank you that I am able to work. Lord, You know that I get weary at times, but each time I call on You for strength, I am able to complete my daily tasks. Lord, I pray for love and kindness to come to the work places of the world. Lord, let there be just practices in the market place. May we all work so as to please You and bring glory to Your name. Help us to also find our place in Your Kingdom, so that we might help by bringing in the harvest of souls that need…

O Lord, how much of this reality
has no earthly bindings on me?
Help to shape my perception,
regarding the things, that I see.
As an intelligent person,
it’s obvious to avoid indifference
and fear, especially when there is…
a clear choice with a sure preference.
Although the future is unknown,
there's a proven solution to help one cope.
The guidance of the…

It’s shameful that people go hungry,
given the abundances of this planet.
And yet, there is more to life than food;
real sustenance that feed one’s spirit
should be given a higher priority.
Restraint of one’s flesh and earthly desires
can be more easily managed and contained
by the application of Godly principles.
Universal Truths satisfy the ravenous spirit
and provide the needed…

“You will live in My love if you keep My commandments.” Jn.15:10
Reflection:
God desires obedient children who show their love through the faithful fulfillment of their duties.
Love is not only an emotion but an action, a living action. Is this true of my love?
Prayer:
“Merciful Father, save me from indifference and mere external worship. Let me always try to follow in the way of Your commandments with ever…

During the next couple of weeks Sawyer had many issues flare up, potasium levels were erratic, kidneys wern't functioning properly, blood clots formed, viruses, infections, poking and prodding, the life of a preemie is full of peaks and valleys.
One thing I remember from this experience is all the times we had to wash our hands. The slightest bit of germs could be very deadly when handling him. The smell of Purrell will always linger in my mind.
The agonizing part of the NICU…
