What Heaven Will Be Like

What Heaven Will Be Like

By Paul Kusiak

"Joy is the business of heaven." -C.S. Lewis

What will heaven be like? And what will we be like when we get there? The Bible really doesn't go into specifics about heaven. Why? Because "eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared…

we are the boat.

Mark 4:35-41 35 "That evening, Jesus said to his disciples, "Let's cross to the other side." 36 Leaving the crowd, they took Jesus along in a boat just as he was. Other boats were with him. 37 A violent windstorm came up. The waves were breaking into the boat so that it was quickly filling up. 38 But he was sleeping on a cushion in the back of the boat. So they woke him up and said to him,… Continue

I was brought up to follow Christ...

Christ, as the wonderful center of the entire Bible, is all-inclusive, having many aspects. The New Testament at its beginning presents four biographies to portray the four main aspects of this all-inclusive Christ. The Gospel of Matthew testifies that He is the King, the Christ of God prophesied in the Old Testament, who brings the kingdom of the heavens to the earth. The Gospel… Continue

Going to Try to Make it Work

This is unknown territory for me.  I am doing the "whatever it takes" to break a cycle and that has resulted in me moving out with at least a 1 year lease.  I would say that even this step to not just give up and file for divorce is going to have it's challenges but I am so praying that God will heal my marriage.  We both are broken from our first marriage and our childhoods.  We have four children between us and we do really well parenting together.  The problem is we both react to each…

never the big attacks.

It is never the big attacks from the enemy that do the most damage. We prepare ourselves for those. When they come we know how to stand and wield our swords. Our shields at the ready, for the flaming darts of the enemy. No, those are not the ones, to can cripple us. But it’s those from w/in the camp, caused by a slight or completely by mistake. Another took something wrong, so they then feel justified and empowered to… Continue

God always has a plan. Philippians 1.12-14

God always has a plan.  Philippians 1.12-14

Christianity was in trouble . . . or so it seemed.  The spreading of the Gospel had come to a screeching halt  . . . or so it seemed.  The teacher, the pastor, the main man had not just been arrested, but he had been transported to…

Proverbs 3:1-6

In the way of believing obedience to God's commandments health and peace may commonly be enjoyed; and though our days may not be long upon earth, we shall live for ever in heaven. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee; God's mercy in promising, and his truth in performing: live up to them, keep up thine interest in them, and take the comfort of them. We must trust in the Lord with all our hearts, believing he is able and wise to do what is best. Those who know…

Charity

Some of the effects of charity are stated, that we may know whether we have this grace; and that if we have not, we may not rest till we have it. This love is a clear proof of regeneration, and is a touchstone of our professed faith in Christ. In this beautiful description of the nature and effects of love, it is meant to show the Corinthians that their conduct had, in many respects, been a contrast to it. Charity is an utter enemy to selfishness; it does not desire or…

INFORMATION: Those who are left behind. (Folks, get right with God because You do *NOT* want to go through tribulation.)

by Kurt Seland

The purpose of this manual is twofold:

First of all, it is to warn those who receive this manual prior to the rapture of the events that will take place in the last days as foretold in the Bible. Based on what the Bible has to say about future events, nobody…

may sound redundant.

If you were to ask Christians, “Does God know what is best for you?” I think we can all agree that “yes” would be the correct answer. And I believe we would answer the question, w/o much time elapsed. “Do you obey God?” Once again, “yes” would be the best answer however, more time maybe taken to give it. “Do you trust God?” All these questions and many more like them to sound redundant. Yet, I propose we should ask them,… Continue

Teach me your laws.

 True believers take the Lord for the portion of their inheritance, and nothing less will satisfy them. as David prayed with his whole heart,knowing how to value the blessing he prayed for: he desired the mercy promised, and depended on the promise for it. He turned from by-paths, and returned to God's testimonies. He delayed not. It behoves sinners to hasten to escape;

and the believer will be equally in…

Strong Enough

It's been quite a weekend but a good one.  Six weeks ago, I separated from my husband and in doing so my goal has been to break a cycle.  This is going to be a very long journey because we are both broken from a previous marriage yet neither of us want our marriage to fail.  There has been very little contact after he finally understood I need some space for healing.  On Saturday, I felt the Lord leading me to attend church (our church has both Saturday evening and Sunday services to accomodate… Continue
