In the city of Self Control, you are the governor

THIS is good stuff. . . take a look with me:

In Acts 22.24-31, Paul cleverly establishes that he is a Roman citizen, and he is brought before the Sanhedrin, (the Jewish ruling council) for trial~

Acts 23.1-10 - Paul looked straight at the Sanhedrin and said, "My brothers, I have fulfilled my duty to God in all good conscience to this day." At this the high priest Ananias ordered those standing near Paul to strike him on the mouth. Then Paul said to him, "God will strike you, you… Continue

The Backslider

My family in Christ

The first thing that you must know is that someone who has never been saved can not be a backslider. Only those who gave their lives to God are going through this stage, and be sure to know that you will experience this for the rest of your life!

To become a backslider doesn’t mean that it is the end. Through Jesus Chris our Lord there is always a way if you trust Him enough to help you through it. But be sure to know that God will punish you for your… Continue

The Relationship - By Natalie Grobler

The Relationship

You see him for the first time and are absolutely taken aback with his beauty. You feel shy and can’t really talk to him. When he looks at you, you blush and turn away.

As time moves on you get to know him. Oh how you love him. You are in love. He makes you feel good. You can’t wait to hear his voice everyday and can hardly wait to go to his home over the weekend. Neither can he wait to see and talk to you. He likes you a lot and he loved you from the… Continue

Divine Healing

Real Healing

by Lahry Sibley

I’ve been a Christian for 40 years or so. I’ve been in lots of churches, various denominations, and listened to some great messages. I’ve also listened to a lot of religion and down right error. No subject has been preached on more than healing, no doubt. Why? Because we have lots of folks that are sick and infirmed. The other is that there is more emphasis put on physical needs than spiritual needs.

I was in… Continue

TRUE LOVE WAITS MY PRINCESS

A message from God

“No man will ever claim you unless he claims you from Me. For I reserved a man for you who has My heart and loves Me even more than he loves you. For I won’t give you unless he asks you form Me. He is asleep; don’t wake him. He is busy for Me... My kingdom. Soon you will know him, but I have the perfect time. You are My princess and My daughter. Let no prince claim you unless he asks you from my hand for I am Your Father and King of kings. You, my princess is worth… Continue

Having Patience in the midst of discouragement, by Rick Warren

“You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For in just a very little while, ‘He who is coming will come and will not delay’” (Hebrews 10:36–37 NIV).

If you’re discouraged because of God’s delay in answering your prayers, understand the delay is not a denial. Just because the answer or the miracle hasn’t come—yet—that doesn’t mean God isn’t going to answer, or that he’s forgotten you, or that he doesn’t care about you. It… Continue

Walk with God

I did not write this, but I sure do agree with it. Hope it blesses you.

Lahry

There is a better way to walk with God.

Mt. 11:28-30

“Come unto Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Most interpret these verses to refer to the good way of salvation and the rest… Continue

DO YOU NEED POWER? ASK GOD FOR IT!

"All else may fail, but the power of God will not fail." - Barnes' Notes

"All the powers of all creatures are derived from Him, dependent upon Him, and are used by Him as He pleases. His is the power, and to Him we must ascribe it." - Matthew Henry

"Thou hast power to accomplish what we ask. We are weak, and cannot do it; but thou art Almighty, and all things are possible with Thee." - Barnes' Notes

There is one need that every human being has. This need faces them almost… Continue

THE GREAT WHITS THRONE JUDGMENT ARE YOU READY?

The Great White Throne Judgment - Judgement

Revelation 20:11-20:15

The Great White Throne

Revelation 20:11-15

These verses describe the final event of all of human history. God is putting the last period on the last sentence of the last paragraph of the last page. This is the final judgment of all who die lost, never having repented and never having received Christ as their Savior. This is serious, and… Continue

Success in Ministry

Success in Ministry

By Lahry Sibley

Not long ago we were in a home meeting. We have this one lady in our group who lives alone and has some emotional difficulties dealing with that situation. She arrived at the home meeting in a shambles. One of the other ladies just went right over too her, wrapped her arms around her and just held her close. In just a few minutes, all was so much better.

The meeting was themed around spiritual gifts. I was asked to minister on… Continue

Have a heart like Paul's

Acts 21.40-22.21 Having received the commander's permission, Paul stood on the steps and motioned to the crowd. When they were all silent, he said to them in Aramaic: 1"Brothers and fathers, listen now to my defense." When they heard him speak to them in Aramaic, they became very quiet. Then Paul said: "I am a Jew, born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but brought up in this city. Under Gamaliel I was thoroughly trained in the law of our fathers and was just as zealous for God as any of you are today. I… Continue

Twittering In Church. Is this the new form of notetaking?

I feel note taking in church is so important. It's no different than me sending my children to school and take notes there. It's important for growth. I have a book that is called "Call To Worship Note Takers' Book. It allows me to write and store all my Church notes and Bible Study notes in one book for a whole year. I do this so I can go back and read what was said and also study. A book that is dedicated to church. A lot of people do the same think with this book.

When I look over… Continue

Eyes on heavenly things

SOMETHING I FOUND AND WOULD LIKE TOO SHARE

Heavenly Mindset

1If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. Colossians 3:1-4 NKJV

One of the challenges of living as the person God created… Continue

The President's speech on Tuesday, 8 Sept

This is copied from the Desiring God website:

I Hope My Daughter Hears the President’s Speech

September 6, 2009 | By: John Piper | Category: Commentary

I am stunned at the outcry against the President of the United States speaking to the youth of this nation about the importance of education.

I am embarrassed by the governor of my home state saying, that the president’s plan to address them is “disruptive . . . uninvited . . . and number three . . . I don’t… Continue

A new phase in life

My husband and I learned last Wednesday that he will require back surgery on his lower back. The bones are trying to grow together and are squishing his disc in his back. He hasn't worked full time since January and is now told that he should not work at all. I work, but with out his income there wont be enough money. I know that my God will provide and that he will provide for us. The devil is really fighting me. We have no medical insurance or help. God sent us to the Good Samaritan Clinic… Continue

Dealing with some many obsticles

For the past few weeks it has been hard. Seems like the devil is really playing on my heart. My emotional roller coaster has been having its ups and downs. But yet I am still keeping my prayers strong and trying to keep my focus of getting close to God. My relationship is going down south and not doing good. I have been told he is starting to hate me. He do not look at me, holding me. I have been there for this person from day one and have poured my all in to trying to make things work. My… Continue

Repentance, Separating the Precious from the Vile.....

REPENTANCE, SEPARATING THE PRECIOUS FROM THE VILE

By Lahry Sibley

I've said for a long time now, repentance must come before revival. Modern church is all about men, the self appointed "go between" God and man. My Bible says my Jesus is the Head of His Church.

Church is not something we attend on Sunday (which in and of itself is an abomination to God and contrary to His Commandment that begins with "Remember"), but a life we live together, moment by moment, being anxious… Continue

THE NECKLACE

THE NECKLACE

A cheerful heart is a good medicine,

but a downcast spirit dries up your bones.

Proverbs 17:22

LOVE, LIVE AND LAUGH OUT LOUD!!

YOUR HEALTH IS YOUR WEALTH!!

The cheerful little girl with bouncy golden curls was almost five. Waiting with her mother at the checkout stand, she saw them, a circle of glistening white pearls in a pink foil box.

the trial of Pastor Jones

first i must let everyone know that this Pastor is not me,but i found this n would like to share it may GOD USE IT FOR HIS GLORY

The trial of Pastor Jones

Judge: Mr. Jones you have been charged with multiple counts of extortion. Your crime spree covers 20 years and thousands of victims. You have defrauded people out of their money with fear and manipulation, telling them they had to tithe 10% of their income to your church and that God would bless them if they did. You also told… Continue
