I've Been High Only Twice In My Life

I've been high only twice in my life. And they both accidents...no joke. I was with my mom and her friend and I told her friend that I couldn't get sleep. Her fsriend said, "I have some sleeping pills." I took up on her offer. Boy, was I oblivious. After about 15 mins of the pill being in my system, my eye lids were getting heavey. But at the same time I was acting weird. Jumping up and down. I remember laying at the edge of my bed and looking at my dirty coths hamper and the cloths looking…

PRAISE THE LORD! JESUS CHRIST IS ALIVE!!

PRAISE THE LORD!

JESUS CHRIST IS ALIVE!!

God bless you in a special way as you celebrate again the Resurrection of our Beloved Lord Jesus Christ from the dead!

His resurrection guarantees the following realities for mankind:

IT IS WRITTEN that our sins have been put away by the sacrifice of HIMSELF. (Heb. 9: 26)

IT IS WRITTEN that we have been redeemed from the curse of the law. (Gal. 3: 13)

IT IS WRITTEN that we have been delivered from the… Continue

Station 1 – Jesus in the Garden

“Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”  An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him.  And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.

(Luke 42-44)

A Friend Lightens the Load. Holy Week - Good Friday

A FRIEND LIGHTENS THE LOAD.  And as they led Him away, they seized one Simon of Cyrene, who was coming in from the country and laid on him the cross to carry it behind Jesus. And there followed Him a great multitude of the people and of women who were mourning and lamenting for Him. Luke 23.26 and following. . .

Good Morning, Friends.

We follow Jesus on the road to the crucifixion . . . I was trying to devise something encouraging out of this very heavy passage, realizing how…

The Seven Last Words of Jesus: His Forgiving Heart

"Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing" (Luke 23:34).

"I have forgiven you already long time ago but I do not want to have any relationship with you anymore." Is this genuine forgiveness? Or is this a self-centered kind of forgiveness?

Genuine forigiveness accepts. Genuine forgiveness is willing to restore a broken relationship and to start all over again. In genuine forgiveness, there is always a new beginning.

We see such forgiveness… Continue

Jesus tortured – would you have spoken up?

The biblical accounts from Luke 23 and Matthew 27:

JESUS BEFORE HEROD ANTIPAS. When Herod saw Jesus, he was greatly pleased, because for a long time he had wanted to see him; in fact, he was hoping to see him perform some sort of miracle. He plied him with many questions, but Jesus gave no answer. The chief priests and the teachers of the law were standing there, vehemently accusing him. Then Herod and his soldiers ridiculed and mocked him. Dressing our Lord in an elegant robe, they…

The Heart of Man

Indeed, the heart of man is a factory of idols. And there are times that these idols are hard to detect for they take deceitful forms. Pastoral ministry can be an idol. Theological education too can be an idol. Your spouse can be your idol. Your dream of financial freedom can also be an idol. Your kids too can be your idols. The most difficult idol of all to give up is yourself. Whatever or whoever in your life that you consider most precious, and take all your attention and energy and you… Continue

Jesus on trial – Holy Week

We left Jesus standing before the Sanhedrin, with Caiaphas saying, 'we don't need any more witnesses--we heard all we need to hear,' planning to send Jesus to Pilate, governor of Judah~

There is no doubt that this was the most famous and the most important trial in all of history, so let’s take a look at the accounts from all four gospels, as Jesus begins his civil trial.

They bound him, led him away and handed him over to Pilate, the governor. By now it was early morning,…

What to do?

I went to meet my Mom's elder sister, she is mentally ill (may be possessed by an evil spirit, but not sure). She has not ate food for more than 7 days and haven't had a good sleep. She screamed that me and my mom were dead. So, me & mom went to meet her in her town. After seeing her she could recognise us but, she is still having some imaginary characters around her, who advises her that whatever food or drink we give her is having poison. She also is not stopping to curse people who help… Continue

Stations of the Cross - Take Your children

Everyone who has children should consider taking their children on Good Friday to the service for Stations of the Cross.  I did last year and found it VERY educational for my children.  I think it drove home the true pain of that day.

I think we (especially parents) tend to skip over the trial and crucifixion of Jesus and go straight for the resurrection.  This practice diminishes the true sacrifice.  My children were 7 & 9 at the time but they were old enough to start…
