My story with God
My parents didn't really take me to church. In fact i was baptised Luthernan and confirmed Methodist. They got divorced when i was younger, and my mother got remarried shortly after. My dad was an alcoholic and did drugs but he was still a great dad to me and my brother never laid a hand on us. My mom was distant and i resented her for a long time. When i was 14 i followed the same path my dad did. I started drinking and doing drugs. It was a way to escape. I dated a guy who did they same stuff and we were together for like 2 and half years. I found out he was doing cocaine and decided to end it because he starte to change and become violent. A few months later i got into trouble and got arrested for pot. I decided that i wasn't going to buy it anymore but i contiuned to use. I then met another guy who seemed to have his life together. I stopped doing drugs shortly after i met him but continued to party and drink heavily. I haven't done any drugs in four years for that i am very proud. I was happy in my relationship but after time it started to fall apart. We drank a lot together and it seemed to be a normal thing in our relationship. He became very manipulitive and would blame everything that went wrong on me. He later cheated on me numerous times and it broke my heart. I started to drink and party non-stop after we broke up and i didn't care what happened to me. I would get loaded and get behind the wheel. There are nights i don't remember driving. I know God took the wheel those nights. I started nursing school a few months later but felt like things just weren't right in my life. I met a girl in my classes and we started talking. Eventually she started talking about God and how He should be apart of my life. I have always had thoughts about God but never really had answers. I finally became and believer and cleaned up my life. I am a nurse today at a hospital and I hope to get my RN and drug and alcohol counseling degree to help others who are in the spot I used to be. I think that God has led me to do that because i can relate to the people with addictions. My dad's side of the family and all my past relationships have been alcoholics and drug addicts so i can related to the spouses and children of addicts too. God has sent me on this journey and I am so blessed to have finally taken the right path. I know now that I am here to be His earthangel to help others who were once like me.
Other stuff about me:
I don't know what else to say now that you know my life story! lol You can tell i like to write once i get going i can stop! Any questions just ask!

Soul food for the Day: The CENTER...

The center chapter of the BIBLE is Psalm 118.. there are 594 chapters before and after Psalm 118
And if we will add this we will get 1188... in which the center verse of the BIBLE is PSALM 118:8
What is the significant of Psalm 118:8 in God's perfect will for our lives?
It is better to trust in the LORD, than to put confidence in man.-- Psalm 118:8

When things get tough, always remember faith doesn't get you around trouble..
it gets you through it!
When you relinquish the desire to control your future you obtain happiness...

Prayer:
Father God, bless my friend in whatever it is that you know he/she may be needing this day....
May their life be full of your peace, prosperity and power as they seek to have closer relationship with you. Amen...

HEALTH CARE FOR THE HEART...

'Keep your heart with all diligence,
for out of it spring the issues of life..'
Proverbs 4:23

Today's Scripture reading emphasizes the importance of caring for our heart.

Are we keeping spiritually fit?
WEIGHT: Do we need to lose the weight of unnecessary burdens and cares?
PULSE: Are we maintaining a steady rhythm of gratitude and praise?
BLOOD PRESSURE: Is our trust greater than our anxiety?
DIET: Are we enjoying the life-giving nutrients of the Word of God?
Have you checked your heart lately?

To keep spiritually fit,Consult with the Great Physician...

O Lord, You see what's in the heart...
There's nothing hid from You;
So help us live the kind of life..
that's filled with love for You...Amen...

FROM THE FULLNESS OF HIS GRACE WE HAVE ALL
RECEIVED ONE BLESSING AFTER ANOTHER.
( JOHN 1:16 *NIV )

Always remember to count our blessings each day, and to
thank God for them! For no matter what we have, when we
look around us, we find others who have less! So never feel
sorry for ourself, instead start counting our blessings, for that
should cheer u up indeed.

Now we know that when things disappoint us, we are sad and
often depressed. However it is written that we should: BE
JOYFUL ALWAYS; PRAY CONTINUALLY; GIVE THANKS IN
ALL CIRCUMSTANCES, FOR THIS IS GOD'S WILL FOR YOU
IN JESUS CHRIST. ( 1 THESSALONIANS 5:16-18 )

Therefore, never feel that God doesn't hear our prayers
because a prayer isn't answered the way we want, or something
goes wrong in our life. For our Heavenly Father always knows
what is best for us, and: HE WILL NOT LEAVE YOU NOR
FORSAKE YOU. ( DEUTERONOMY 31:6 )

So my friend, remember to always: GIVE THANKS TO THE
LORD, CALL ON HIS NAME; MAKE KNOWN AMONG THE
NATIONS WHAT HE HAS DONE for you!
( 1 CHRONICLES 16:8 )

In closing, MAY THE GRACE OF THE LORD JESUS
CHRIST, AND THE LOVE OF GOD, AND THE
FELLOWSHIP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT BE WITH YOU ALL,
now and always! Amen! ( 2 CORINTHIANS 13:14 )

Value Life...........

Long time ago, there was an Emperor who told his horseman that if he could ride on his horse and cover as much land area as he likes, then the Emperor would give him the area of land he has covered.
Sure enough, the horseman quickly jumped onto his horse and rode as fast as possible to cover as much land area as he could. He kept on riding and riding, whipping the horse to go as fast as possible. When he was hungry or tired, he did not stop because he wanted to cover as much area as possible.
Came to a point when he had covered a substantial area and he was exhausted and was dying. Then he asked himself, "Why did I push myself so hard to cover so much land area? Now I am dying and I only need a very small area to bury myself."
The above story is similar with the journey of our Life. We push very hard everyday to make more money, to gain power and recognition. We neglect our health , time with our family and to appreciate the surrounding beauty and the hobbies we love.
One day when we look back , we will realize that we don't really need that much , but then we cannot turn back time for what we have missed.
Life is not about making money, acquiring power or recognition.

Life is definitely

not about work!
Work is only necessary to keep us living so as to enjoy the beauty and pleasures of life.. Life is a balance of Work and Play, Family and Personal time.
You have to decide how you want to balance your Life. Define your priorities, realize what you are able to compromise but always let some of your decisions be based on your instincts. Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of Life, the whole aim of human existence. So, take it easy, do what you want to do and appreciate nature. Life is fragile , Life is short. Do not take Life for granted. Live a balanced lifestyle and enjoy Life!

Watch your thoughts ; they become words.

Watch your words ; they become actions.

Watch your actions ; they become habits..

Watch your habits; they become character .

Watch your character; it becomes your destiny

So enjoy every day as yours.........
