When I despair, I look towards the sky and call out to God:

"Father, why have you forsaken me? Why do you make me suffer so? Why do people who don't believe you are better off than I am? If you love me so much, then why don't you make my life wonderful and full of happiness? Why don't you make me better than others? Have you not chosen me out of this world to serve you? So why am I not as good as others? Why is my life more miserable?"

In times like this, I often hear God… Continue

Soul Food for the Day: Dead End Ahead ...
What does man gain from all his labor
at which he toils under the sun? Ecc. 1:3

Everyone by nature wants to be a success. This is not bad thing, and we should not misunderstand Solomon’s statements in Ecclesiastes. He never suggested that ignorance, laziness, mediocrity, poverty or failures are good things. It’s permissive to have possessions and pleasure too is permitted as long as it is done in sin ( as in adultery ) or excess ( as in gluttony ). But Solomon did make the case that these things have no lasting value. Like us, they are here only for a brief time under the sun. We should pursue excellence, but we should remember that nothing we have or attain will satisfy our deepest needs, these things are dead ends! I Matthew 6:25 it says: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?”
Jesus called us to recognize that the one thing that truly matters that does not perish under the sun and that does give significance, happiness, and eternal life is knowing God!

Prayer: Lord, God, Our Father, Jesus is the living water from whom we may drink and never thirst again. Give us the grace to abandon the deceitful waters that only increase our cravings...
Help us to come to him, the fountain springing up into eternal life. In Jesus’ name. Amen...

Keep n touch my friend.. God bless you

Hi brother,
To answer your questions, there is a Bible school a couple of hours drive from where I lived.

Part of the training was for the students to go and work in local churches to build youth groups. They would go door to door and invite teenagers to join the youth group.

The second time they came to my house I got on my knees in my living room and excepted Jesus as my only Lord and Savior and was born again.

My life has never been the same since that day.

I was at a retreat this weekend where I spoke 2 times. It was a real blessing at a beautiful center that a very rich man built in the mountains for Christian to get away and seek the Lord.

In the love of Jesus

Good to hear back from you edmun09, I also came to know the Lord in the ninth grade when I was 15, that was 34 years back. Man am I getting old. lol
Knowing and serving God has been the joy of my life. I love to see God touch and transforms lives. The power of the Holy Spirit can help some one be free from a life time of bondage.

I believe that we can accomplish great things for the Lord in our part of the world where God has put us. One of my jobs as a christian is to encourage others in their faith walk with the Lord. I invite you to read my story on my page and check out some of my blogs and feel free to ask questions and let me know hoe the lord is ministering to you.

In the love of Jesus

WELCOME TO AAG, EDMUND09. here's a joke i got from the AAG forum to welcome and cheer you up-

BIGGER TURKEY-
A woman walks into a butcher's shop just before closing time and asks, "Do you have any turkey?"

The butcher opens his fridge, takes out his only turkey and puts it on the weighing scales. It weighs six pounds.

The woman looks at the turkey and at the scales and asks, "Do you have one that's a bit bigger than this one, please?" The butcher puts the turkey back into the fridge and then takes it out again, but this time when he puts it on the scales he keeps his thumb on the turkey. The scales now show eight pounds.

"That's wonderful," says the woman. "I'll take both of them, please!"

(Ha ha ha.... gotcha butcher!)

Welcome to AAG. We want your experience here to be positive and uplifting. There are a couple of things that can help you maximize your experience.

Forums and Blogs: Forums are for asking questions and for sharing a response to a question someone has posted. This is a great opportunity for “iron to sharpen iron.” Blogs are for posting an opinion, view or specific message regarding a subject.

Making New Friends: You will make many new friends here on AAG. Some will send a friend invite to you. You have the choice to accept or decline. When an invite has been sent to you the “My Friends” in the upper right box on your home page will be followed by the word “New”.” Simply click on the icon and make your choice. To invite someone to be your friend you simply need to go to their home page and click on “add as friend” under their personal photo. Once someone is your friend you will be able to email each of your friends on AAG. You can also leave a message on someone personal page, but note that everyone will be able to read what you leave there.

Chat Box: There is a chat box accessible from the bottom of every page here on AAG. It is a great place to get to know people better.

Private Chats: You can invite anyone who is on line to a private chat by clicking on their picture located at the upper right part of the page followed by clicking on “Private Chat.”.

Videos: You can also upload Christian videos on the AAG main page or watch them. They are located down the left side of the main page.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. We are here to serve you to the best of our abilities.

We are glad you are here,
LT
