Those who profess faith in Christ as the Lord of glory, James 2:1-13

Posted on July 6, 2017 at 3:00am 0 Comments

Those who profess faith in Christ as the Lord of glory, must not respect persons on account of mere outward circumstances and appearances, in a manner not agreeing with their profession of being disciples of the lowly Jesus. St. James does not here encourage rudeness or disorder: civil respect must be paid; but never such as to influence the proceedings of Christians in disposing of the offices of the church of Christ, or in passing the censures of the church, or in any matter of religion.…

He Knows Best

Heb 12:6,7.  For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives."   It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline?

God wants us to follow him because he knows what's best for us. He doesn't give his commands make our lives tough but because he loves us, He knows what can hurt us. When we get off track, God disciplines us Like a loving father, he uses discipline to…

Joyful under troubles

Posted on June 10, 2017 at 11:51am 0 Comments

Christianity teaches men to be joyful under troubles: such exercises are sent from God's love; and trials in the way of duty will brighten our graces now, and our crown at last. Let us take care, in times of trial, that patience, and not passion, is set to work in us: whatever is said or done, let patience have the saying and doing of it. When the work of patience is complete, it will furnish all that is necessary for our Christian race and warfare. We should not pray so much for the removal…

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Eph 6:10-18

Posted on July 26, 2016 at 10:30am 0 Comments

Spiritual strength and courage are needed for our spiritual warfare and suffering. Those who would prove themselves to have grace, must aim at all grace; and put on the whole armour of God, which he prepares for us His word. The Christian armour is made to be worn; and there is no putting off our armour till we have done our warfare, and finished our course. 2Ti 4:7  I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith: The combat is not against human enemies, nor…

The following is an attempt to describe what such a Godly friend should be like:

Posted on April 29, 2016 at 3:33am 1 Comment

  • Friendship is based on a shared love for the Lord and commitment to his will.
  • Friends enjoy talking about their common interest - the Lord.
  • Friends lead us closer to God; they do not want to do anything that might pull us away from him.
  • friends want the best for each other no matter what it costs (even if it means losing out themselves), they want to see the Lords will in their friends…

Examine the benefits of fasting

(Mat 6:16-18 NKJV)  "Moreover, when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a sad countenance. For they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. {17} "But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, {18} "so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward…

Growing in Godliness

Posted on March 19, 2016 at 4:49am 0 Comments

God’s word instructs us in godly conduct, in holiness joined with contentment.  Which is exceedingly, of great means? (1 Tim 6:6)  Now godliness with contentment is great gain. This must issue godly attitudes from the heart if the heart is tuned into God; and given to sound doctrine and not having anything to do with gossip.  To conform to Christ as an act of…

Gods Love

Joh 3:16  "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

This does not mean that God approved the conduct of men, but that he had benevolent feelings toward them, or was “earnestly desirous” of their happiness. God hates wickedness, but he still…

As believers, we uplift each other. I hope you found a church where you are growing stronger in the Lord. Right now I go to Sunday school and Women's Bible study. It's been a long time since I have gone to a service. God has shown His way for me to learn His Word, and fellowship. Many blessings my brother in Christ.
