My story with God
Though I became a christian as a teen for years I had not led a life of spiritual growth and as a result had not developed the close relationship I needed with God to protect me from temptations. As a result I have wasted many years wandering in the wilderness rather than letting God use me for His work. A few months ago I rededicated my life to God and am daily working on developing my walk with God through Bible reading, prayer, and through reading other religious books. Please pray for me in my continued spiritual growth and that God will continue to show me how best to live my life for Him.

Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler (net).
- Psa_91:3
"God delivers his people from the snare of the fowler in two senses. From, and out of. First, he delivers them from the snare-does not let them enter it; and secondly, if they should be caught therein, he delivers them out of it. The first promise is the most precious to some; the second is the best to others.
'He shall deliver thee from the snare.' How? Trouble is often the means whereby God delivers us. God knows that our backsliding will soon end in our destruction, and he in mercy sends the rod. We say, 'Lord, why is this?' not knowing that our trouble has been the means of delivering us from far greater evil. Many have been thus saved from ruin by their sorrows and their crosses; ... At other times, God keeps his people from the snare of the fowler by giving them great spiritual strength, so that when they are tempted to do evil they say, 'How can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God.' But what a blessed thing it is that if the believer shall, in an evil hour, come into the net, yet God will bring him out of it! O backslider, be cast down, but do not despair. Wanderer though thou hast been, hear what thy Redeemer saith- 'Return, O backsliding children; I will have mercy upon you.' ... 'Surely he shall deliver thee out of the snare of the fowler.' Thou shalt yet be brought out of all evil into which thou hast fallen...No bird of paradise shall die in the fowler’s net." Spurgeon

I cried to you for help, O Lord my God, and you healed me; you kept me from the grave. I was on my way to the depths below, but you restored my life. Psalms 30:2-3

Be merciful to me, Lord, for I am in trouble, my eyes are tired from so much crying; I am completely worn out. I am exhausted by sorrow, and weeping has shortened my life. I am weak from all my troubles; even my bones are wasting away. Psalms 31:9-10

Then I confessed my sins to you; I did not conceal my wrongdoings. I decided to confess them to you, and you forgave all my sins. So all your loyal people should pray to you in times of need; when a great flood of trouble comes rushing in, it will not reach them. Psalms 32:5-6

How clearly the sky reveals God's glory! How plainly it shows what he has done! Each day announces it to the following day; each night repeats it to the next. Psalms 19:1-2

"In all our sorrows we have his sympathy. Temptation, pain, disappointment, weakness, weariness, poverty-he knows them all, for he has felt all. Remember this, Christian, and let it comfort thee. However difficult and painful thy road, it is marked by the footsteps of thy Saviour; and even when thou reachest the dark valley of the shadow of death, and the deep waters of the swelling Jordan, thou wilt find his footprints there. In all places whithersoever we go, he has been our forerunner; each burden we have to carry, has once been laid on the shoulders of Immanuel." Spurgeon

O God, you are my God, and I long for you. My whole being desires you; like a dry, worn-out, and waterless land, my soul is thirsty for you. Psalm 63:1

"Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke and put it on you, and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit; and you will find rest." Jesus Matthew 11:28-29

"As bad as you are, you know how to give good things to your children. How much more, then, will the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him." Jesus Luke 11:13

The Lord is compassionate, and when you cry to him for help, he will answer you. The Lord will make you go through hard times, but he himself will be there to teach you, and you will not have to search for him any more. If you wander off the road to the right or the left, you will hear his voice behind you saying, "Here is the road. Follow it." Isaiah 30:19-21

hello, here's a joke for you!

Attending a wedding for the first time, a little girl whispered to her mother, "Why is the bride dressed in white?''

The mother replied, "Because white is the color of happiness, and today is the happiest day of her life."

The child thought about this for a moment then said, "So why is the groom wearing black?"

Wally,
He is alive again, oh the stone been rolled away
He is alive again, He is no longer where He lay
He is alive again, I can hear the angels say
let all the earth rejoice, He is alive
May we all continually say the Lord is good and His mercy endures forever, may we all bless His Holy name! Have a blessed day my friend!

here's the joke for today-

WHAT'S A CHURCH?

A well-worn one-dollar bill and a similarly distressed twenty-dollar bill arrived at a Federal Reserve Bank to be retired. As they moved along the conveyor belt to be burned, they struck up a conversation. The twenty-dollar bill reminisced about its travels all over the country.

"I've had a pretty good life," the twenty-dollar bill proclaimed. "Why I've been to Las Vegas and Atlantic City , the finest restaurants in New York , performances on Broadway, and even a cruise to the Caribbean "

"Wow!" said the one-dollar bill. "You've really had an exciting life!"

"So tell me," says the twenty-dollar bill, "where have you been throughout your lifetime?"

The one dollar bill replies, "Oh, I've been to the Methodist Church , the Baptist Church, the Lutheran Church."

The twenty-dollar bill interrupts, "What's a church?"
