well friends, i got a job! i start tuesday at a local starbucks. ive worked for starbucks in the past and really enjoyed it. back then it was a job that contriubted to our house payments and other bills. it caused me a lot of stress and made work not that much fun. i know, it work, not happy fun time. this time its different. my husband has a really good paying job and the money i make will go into a savings account. this is going to sound strange, but i had a dream 2 nights ago that i would… Continue

God knows what we need long before we do

God knows what and who we need long before we ever know that we need what we need. take my husband for instance. i can remember being a teenager and the first boyfriend i ever had. i remember the break up and how hard it was to get over. i remember crying every day and how awful i felt. one night in my misery i called out to God. "please if you love me, send me a man who will love me forever!" years passed and relationships passed. some were good and others not so good. again i called out,… Continue

The stars at night

Posted on January 18, 2008 at 9:43pm 0 Comments

you know what i miss most about living in the mid west? i really miss the stars at night. it's been 3 weeks since we moved to las vegas and i havent seen the stars at all. i guess i need to go out to the desert to see them. there used to be many night that sam and i would sit out on the swing and just look at the stars and wonder what was out there. we would talk about how some day we will get to explore all the sky and stars and have God with us to tell how he made them all.

what to do?

well, here i am in las vegas, nv. home of all that is sinful and evil. i was sitting at a stop light today when i saw a lady with a sign that read "share the kindness". i could tell by looking at her that she was not in good shape. her clothers just hung on her and she looked dirty. i really wanted to help her, but a friend of mine told me that when i moved here the thing to be careful of is bums. they are everywhere. and they are. but inside i started to feel this struggle. i know that we are… Continue

FOR I, THE LORD YOUR GOD, WILL HOLD YOUR RIGHT
HAND, SAYING TO YOU, "FEAR NOT, I WILL HELP
YOU."
( ISAIAH 41:13 *NKJV )
We often face troubling times in our lives that
cause us to worry, and lose sleep. As a child of God you
have Him at your side, holding your hand, and guiding
your pathway through those times. For, THE LORD IS
GOOD, A STRONGHOLD IN THE DAY OF TROUBLE;
AND HE KNOWS THOSE WHO TRUST IN HIM.
( NAHUM 1:7 )
He will never abandon HIS Children, throughout
their entire lives. For He is always with us no matter
what we may face, as He further promised: WHEN YOU
PASS THROUGH THE WATERS, I WILL BE WITH YOU;
AND THROUGH THE RIVERS,* THEY SHALL NOT
OVERFLOW YOU. WHEN YOU WALK THROUGH THE
FIRE,* YOU SHALL NOT BE BURNED, NOR SHALL
THE FLAME SCORCH YOU. ( ISAIAH 43:2 )
[*Rivers and *Fire in the verse represent difficulties in our
lives]
Therefore, FEAR NOT, FOR I AM WITH YOU; BE NOT
DISMAYED, FOR I AM YOUR GOD. I WILL
STRENGTHEN YOU, YES, I WILL HELP YOU, I WILL
UPHOLD YOU WITH MY RIGHTEOUS RIGHT HAND.
( ISAIAH 41:10 )
So the next time you face troubling times, do as Jesus
said: "LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED; YOU
BELIEVE IN GOD, BELIEVE ALSO IN ME." (JOHN 14:1)
Then WHEN YOU LIE DOWN, YOU WILL NOT BE
AFRAID; YES, YOU WILL LIE DOWN AND YOUR
SLEEP WILL BE SWEET. ( PROVERBS 3:24 )
Now have a great day walking hand and hand with God,
friend! Amen.

Thank you so much for your concerned and encouraging words. I need that very badly. Yes the Lord knows our need. HE never fail us even in our basic needs He provide everything.
We will keep on serving the Lord even in this midst of trials.
Again, thank you very much!
In Christ,
Loida

Hello Kimberly!
I'm so blessed to read your testimony (?). Me and my family are leaving by faith. The Lord teach us to be contended for what we have.
I have a daughter studying in college already. Knowing Philippine government is not that supportive when it comes to education.
Only my husband is working in a government agency. But still the Lord did not leave us.
Although there are times i keep on thinking on how my daughter will finish her studies if the money is not enough.
We are in the middle class family but, I thank the Lord, He move in our lives mightily.
So, keep on searching the Word of God.
God bless you more!

Hi Kimberly! My name is Diane and I am new to this site! I hope to make many new friends here, as I am already sure that you will, too! I used to live in St. George, UT some years ago...not far from where you are "now"! I see that you love cats...I do, too ! I know how it is to move someplace and not know "anyone"! That is how it was for me (us) when we moved here to Colorado! I'd love to hear from you! I wish you well and I'll pray that you find a job, very soon! Just continue to "Trust" in God...He will "lead" you...right where He wants you! HE doesn't make "mistakes"... we do! Please write!
Blessings!
In HIM alone,
Diane

Hi Kim! I lived on the Grandview Triangle for a few years while I worked at Stonecroft Ministries. Before that, I went to Calvary Bible College in Belton.

Miss the BBQ, but don't miss the weather!
