- My story with God
- When I first, that is legitamently, met/encountered Jesus my life was forever changed. The encounter was not seeing Jesus physically although I believe some people do experience this mine was a spiritual encounter, a revelation. After which some things in my life, mostly external practices, changed over the course of the next few days and other things, mostly internal, have been renewing everyday as I walk through life with my heart and mind set on following Jesus and obeying His commandments. This I get to do because I have been saved from the penalty of my own sin (by grace through faith). My striving is a fruit of my salvation in Christ not the root (cause) of my salvation. The big thing for me now is to learn to strive after keeping in step with the Spirit so that I do not labor in vain; and that usually begins with humbling myself before God, submitting my will to His, and being still before Him (the opposite of a busy body). I say this in the hope of helping others who may read it and it also serves as a great reminder to me. Thank God for His ways of mercy and love! Grace and peace be to us all in Christ Jesus!
