Division! it's what's killing us.

Fighting in Egypt, Iraq, and many other places around this globe seems to be the bulk of todays headline. Nothing good is part of our daily media exposure. I have to be frank with you when I say I'm torn from the masses of people that claim to be Christian's, but make non-Christ-like decisions related to our Government, Local authorities, or even countries in the west have banned the practice of Christianity.

What would it be like if we loved our neighbor as Christ loved…

The New Church

Posted on January 26, 2011 at 3:00pm 2 Comments

Through my many studies, I have come to a most disturbing understanding of today's church.  When I say church, I'm refering to the Christian church. It's clear to me that the church is focused on increasing the number of people coming through the font door, rather than building spiritual growth within the church. I call this the "Olsteen" syndrome. Today's evangelist's focus their attention on cultural problems within the congregation, what I mean is that instead of preaching the Word, they…

The Apostles' Creed?

Posted on May 25, 2009 at 1:45pm 1 Comment

I was wondering if I may get some input from all of you about The Apostles' Creed.

Some people I speek with about this subject, believe that this Creed only pertains to the Catholic Faith.

"I believe in the Holy Spirit , The Holy Catholic church"

I've been thinking about this for awhile and Im not sure thats right.

The Catholic faith is a denomination on the Christian religion. We that study Theology understand that. The time in biblical history that we see The… Continue

This is my problem.....

Posted on May 23, 2009 at 4:01pm 3 Comments

I just bought a new book by Gregory A. Boyd titled "The Myth of a Christian Nation". Gregory is well educated and has written many books on the subjects of Christ and Theology.

My problem with this book is this:

1. The book has a total of 9 chapters 189 pages total. So for the most part it is a small book.

2. The subject of this book is to explain to all of us why he thinks politics and the Church shouldn't be mixed. As in the church should not indorse any political party.… Continue

Good morning David!

Thank you for your invitation to be friends, one which I gladly accept.Welcome back, I hope your absence was fulfilling

I am fairly new here but am learning my way around. So many wonderful people here, all with one goal...to bring themselves closer to their Lord and Savior, and to help those that are stumbling and need prayers and encouragment.

I saw the picture of your beautiful boys, children are such a blessing. And of coarse your bike and wife?

I am so happy to be here with people like you that reach out a hand in friendship and willingly come to the call when help is needed.

have an awesome day

Your sister in Christ

David,

Thank you, truly, for your kind words. I was wondering when I read your message if it was the message I sent out that you read and referred to, or my blog on passion. Either way, God wants me to inspire passion in others, and I hope that any small and insignificant thing I might type would bring about some spark of feeling in the hearts of others. You are so wonderful and your words offer me encouragement to reach farther, work harder, and continue in the work that God has planned for me. God bless you and keep you, brother! Praise be to Him for all He does and all He gives!

Susan.
