I just finished reading They Shall Expel Demons by Derek Prince. I'm now starting another of his books - Protection from Deception. I have read many of Derek Prince's books and it never fails - I learn. On my way to work this morning I was listening to one of his audiobooks on Praise - who, when, where, how, why.
JOYCE IS A GREAT VOICE FOR GOD, AND I JUST LOVE HOW SHE LET OUR HEAVENLY FATHER USES HER I HAD READ MOST OF ALL HER BOOKS BUT MY FAVORITE SO FAR IS THE BATTLEFIELD OF THE MIND
Yes Alcedes, i agree battlefield of the mind was truly an awesome book, i recently purchased the devotional to it.... I didnt read ME and my Big Mouth, but now that u mentioned it, i will. I love her books.. another good one was how to keep the devil under your feet.
YES DELILA, I GOT THE DEVOTIONAL TOO AND IT IS GREAT AS WELL, I BROUGHT HER BIBLE TWICE AND GAVE BOTH OF THEM AWAY TO HELP THE TWO PEOPLE THAT I GAVE THEM TOO, AND IT WAS GREAT ALSO THE WAY SHE PUT IN POWER POINTS AND HELPFUL THINGS AS YOU READ IT, SHE USED THE AMPLIFIED VERSION

STORMIE IS GREAT ALSO IF I REMEMBER THE TITLES I READ THE POWER OF A PRAYING HUSBAND, AND THE POWER OF A PRAYING WIFE,I LOVE WATCHMAN NEE AND YOU CAN GO TO AMAZON.COM
" A Joyful Marriage Fortress " by Christian Author Terry Scerine. You can get it online through Barnes and nobles and so many other websites, excellent and inspired book!
Delia, I have found a lot of Christian children's books at christianbooks.com. This is an excellent source for books and I believe to probably be the cheapest outside of going to the public library for free.
Delila :)
Brio magazine is an awesome one for kids today, you can type the name and check it out on the internet. Also, chicken soup for the kids is a good book too. Joyce meyer has some interesting books too. House on the prairie has some excellent collection too.

Hey check this out "Why we love the Church: in praise of the institutions and organized religion." by Kevin Deyoung and Ted Kluck. Very interesting. They are also the authors of "Why We're Not Emergent" which is good also.
Has anyone read the book You Were Born for This? I'd like to know what you think of it, to help me decide whether I should purchase it. The book preview looks interesting. Thanks!
I'm writing my final exams in November. Then I will have more time to read and I'll start looking into all the great books that members are suggesting. I cannot wait.

Hello everyone, I'm new to this group, so greetings from Sydney, Australia. My favourites are: anything by Corrie ten Boom; Billy Graham's ":Peace with God" and, for young people, the Viking Series by Lois Walfrid Johnson - good Christian reading for youth, and very exciting i'm told.
I have read" A Joyful Marriage Fortress " By Christian Author Terry Scerine. This book is worth every dollar you invest in it, good Christmas gift to you or a loved one. God bless!
Thanks for sharing that tidbit of info about what "The Library of Congress has stated, but I am interested in knowing what your personal opinion is about the book. Would you share please?
Hey!
I'm you new to here. I love reading so i know i'll enjoy this group.. well, i'm reading "boy meets girl" by jousha harris.. if you never came across this book, i recommend this book to you all, especially if you are you single or dating.. it's great!! i have read it so many time...
At a time when many minds are tormented with fear of the occult, I want to recommend the book, The Myth of the Generational Curse (Xulon Press) by G. A. N. James. Its well-gounded Scriptural references will clear up the myth misguidendly propagated about the existence of a generational curse on certain families and stir faith in our sure blessedness in Christ.
Hey abigail!
I'm from Hungary, and I'm just reading the same book (Boy meets girl-I read it in Hungarian, and not finished yet) ,and enjoying it. I've learnt to be responsible about arise serious feelings in a girl before I would know that she is the One I want so it's better to be friends till both will recognise they want more than friendship. As a man it is really my responsibility to wait till we know each other, getting closer, and even before the Lord it is the man's responsibility how he leads others -even in other relationships like in service for example. So I think as in every relationship ,the best way is love(1 Cor.12:32).As in 1 Cor 13 Love does not hurt...If I want to get too far with a girl too early (or too fast),it maybe rather because of selfish ambitions, and I think selfishness is the opposite of love.
selfishness wants mainly to get,and not to wait, and wants good to himself
love wants mainly to give and can wait and wants good to the other...
"LET not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, be believe also in Me. In My father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, i would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. John (14:1,2)
EEEKKK - Just about to finish "Eat, Pray, & Love". Such a selfish, modernistic worldview commentary on finding "oneself" versus looking about and helping others.
The only redeeming factor in this book is the interesting history about the cultures the author visited.
