Thank you evry much ;Encouragement is what we seek at times, This is great!~
hello my name is kaya, its my 1st, time here on this blog, thanks david for the suggestion. with the ? on being single & how do you do it w/ joy well i have to see it from 2 differ sides 1st when i was not  saved & i was single i was in such great need for an emptiness for a man in my life since there was no true father in my life i did seek older men i was 14 yrs old dating a 28 yr old/ etc...& when each man would not work out then came the need for another & so on to a life of self destruction.I had no peace/joy. so now so much older w/ many experiences in relationships that were not lead by God but from my self all that was failure.Today as a christian in love w/ jesus more than ever, i do have joy/peace to fill my soul that was once so empty so i can deal with it because of jesus! he has delivered me from that weak area of my soul, yes my desire for a friend/ mate is there & i do at times feel like whenLord i   serve you where is he? i want a friend to grow to know/ respect & love, well jesus helps me to be patient &I trust in him & pray thank you jesus i say because you are my guide as I walk lead by the holy spirit & his grace in my life .my desires have to be his for my life in him & so this is I have joy til my answer does come .

Dear Sister, hello thank you for your video & a lot you have addressed, surely the topics you have mentioned are soley important for christian women in general.I would like to add that to many believers focus on meeting a man/& versa woman as a job & can without notice can leave jesus work for later that is self centered & that can lead them to a poor not god given mate because of forcing it Instead of putting gods work first seek ye the kingdom of god & his rightousness 1st, then all those things will be aded on to thee!thats the right way even when it can take a little longer but worth the reward-----& to pray alot that helps pray to help us through the valentines day/ birthdays etc... also it vital to spend time w/ jesus in worship get closer to the lover of our soul.

These are the usual things I pursue or do that make me appreciate my being single a lot better:

1.  Self- improvement activities

(read a good book regularly, attend seminar -workshops on topics of interest, go to the gym,  visit a spa, dermatologist, etc.)

2. Socialize with a variety of people that will enrich your character and personality, and still give you good company.

3.  Attend more family gatherings and become more aware of family members trying to seek your attention.

4.  Do that extra mile at work.

5.  Express your art ( I did coloring books for a while)

5.  Save money and study then pursue investment prospects.

5.  Organize get-togethers with close friends to have more bonding sessions and fun times.

6.  Do errands for your parent/s and oblige people who ask for your help.

7.  Constantly seek God's Word and be in that disposition of waiting on HIM. Always PRAY, Converse with God all the time!!!

You can think of a lot more and you'd realize you'll not notice the time passing you by. I remember right after I finished grieving a break-up, I decided to pull myself together and start do these stuffs... that's when I got a lot of  appreciative attention from the opposite sex.  I felt I had the choice then to let them in or not because I felt empowered as I  was beginning to sincerely enjoy the single life. @Macky and Kaya - you guys are great women of God and are so encouraging. I personally love what both of you have said. In line with Macky's comment, I also do lots of stuff to keep me busy and I don't even realise my not having a man around. I spend lots of time doing different activities like writting, reading books, listening to music, hanging out with friends, spoiling my sibling on outdoor meals and spending most of my time with them and teaching my sunday school kids who i really love. I also sing and dance a lot at church as i am the arts coordinator for my church sunday school classes. life is too short to be worrying and so i do what makes me happy. we all deserve happiness and that is not found in having a life partner (though this also is good) but true happiness is found only in JESUS. With Kaya, I totally relate when you say that you sometimes feel like "Lord when will I meet him?" I feel that way too sometimes but in His word, God has promised never to leave us nor forsake us so when I feel like that, i usually take time to pray and ask Him to guide me because times like these would make you end up making the wrong choice. I ask for guidance and ask for discernment to tell who God wanst me to be with. So the only way to have a joyful single life is in my opinion to love God, love others and love yourself. Live life now not later, enjoy now and leave the rest to God to take care of. He cares about us remember? He is a good God.
Thank you Chil! I'm glad that we share similar views about practical strategies we can apply to enjoy being single better. I have to stress though... in my case, after grieving for sooo long for a break up, I found happiness very elusive up until I started to let go and surrender everything to God. I gave Him total control of my life. I was so frustrated and so messed up for such a long time that I wondered why I was not healing despite the long time that has passed already (2 years). What I didn't realize, even finding happiness was approached by me as a goal... something that I had to work hard for, which should NOT be so. True joy is a grace from God. When I surrendered to God total control of all my emotions and thoughts and decisions... the pressure to be happy just disappeared. And slowly... peace and true joy started filling my heart and my mind. It is a state that no matter what difficulties and frustrations come your way that get you off balance; doubts that may cloud your mind... you always spring back to your equilibrium and maintain focus on God's goodness and faithfulness. That's where I am now. Much calmer... more joyful... a lot stronger.
