Greetings Prayer Room Participants,

Something has been brought to my attention that I need to address. It is our desire for this room to be a place to bring prayer requests and to ask for brothers and sisters in Christ to stand with us in our time of need. At the same time we need to be mindful of how we pray. By this, I mean that though we want to pray positively for others we need to be very careful regarding the language we use, especially when the request we are praying for involves another person who is part of the reason the prayer requests is being brought forth. We need to choose our words wisely and make sure that we are not digressing into a situation where we are name calling or accusing another of being of the devil.

There are number of factors I could go over, but think it not wise to give to much attention to negative actions and will simply encourage us to focus on the request and laying it before God without accusing another. For in any request our goal must always be a righteous outcome of which only God can know the exact answer that is needed in any situation.

Because this is a serious situation that can lead to other problems for individuals and TheNET our team will need to monitor the Prayer Room more closely and will need to remove remarks that appear to be derogatory.

If you see any comments that appear questionable please inform me immediately. You will stay anonymous and I will make the final judgment on the comment in question.

(NEW) Because this is an open group that is visible to the worldwide web we need to refrain from using names when praying for others without their permission.

Lord Bless,

LT

Thank You Lord for Your grace and for all favours received today.  I praise and honour You because of Your faithfulness, for travel mercies and for life itself.

I lift up my son Fred who celebrates his birthday today.  Dear Father, I pray that You favour him with answers to his prayers.  Continue to bless him in all his works and deeds in Jesus' name.

I continue to intercede for all the sick who are in pain. Father, touch them with Your healing hands and make them whole again.

Father, I lift up my 242 students to Your throne of grace.  It is the time of year again as they prepare for their final exams which they start on 26/10/2015.  Father, I pray that You guide them in  their studies and help them to prepare for this exams.  I know that Your grace is with them. Protect them from all anxieties and help them to face this exam with courage.

Bless all of us gathered in this prayer room and deliver us from all evil. Amen.

Thank You for all answered prayers.

Good morning warriors, God bless you!

I give God the glory this morning and thank Him for a great night's sleep. My Gary slipped and fell this morning. He fell on the carpet, and not concrete or something super hard. He looks okay, but can use some prayers.  I ask God to protect, strengthen Gary and help him. Please heal any bruises or scuffs that we can't see yet. In Jesus Christ's name. Amen.

Father, I stand in complete agreement to all these prayers and say Amen! May Your will be done in our lives.

As we start a new week, I say thank You for the week that was and for this new week.  I lift up all plans made for the week to Your throne of gracce and ask for Your blessings on all our actions so that they be pleasing to You.

I lift up all families that are struggling for peace, that You favour them with answers to their prayers.  Lord, my children are in Your hands as You know the needs of each one of them.  Please Father, look with favour upon them and grant them their needs according to Your will.

Father I commend all my thoughts, words and actiona to Your divine grace.  Help me to be a part of the solution to all problems that I will counter at work this week.  Make me an instrument of love and peace and help me to do Your will.  Let all my actions be to the glory of Your Name.

Father, I continue to pray for healing for all who are in need of healing especially. my mother and my friend Elaine.  You Lord are the greatest healer so touch them with Your healing hands and make them whole again. Heal us all physically, spiritually and emotionally according to Your will.

Let Your light shine before us this day so that we conquer all temptations that come our way.  I ask all these in Jesus' mighty name.  Amen.

Thank You for all answered prayers.

Tammy I need to read that a couple of times let it really sink in. I have a plan for my salvation walk and that is to fight to seek God and His righteousness, but I've been struggling with prayers that should be the most vital part of my plan. And now I understand it's because there was never proper planning for the prayer life I would need to have. I just told myself that I'll just get up in between 12am and 3am everyday and pray, but sometimes I'd get up late or just noteget up at all.

Thank you for your words of encouragement to plan for prayer, I am most certainly going to do that.

Lord I lift up Your name this morning in praise and thanksgiving.  Thank You Lord for Your faithfulness.  Thank You for family and friends.  Thank You for renewed grace and uncountable mercies bestowed upon us each day.

Dear Father, You know the needs of each one of us who visit this prayer room.  I lift up all our needs to Your throne of grace with great expectations.  Favour us all with answers to our prayers for You are God of mercy and compasion to whom nothing is impossible. You are God who saves.  Save us from our evil ways and forgive us all our sins.

Father I ask for complete healing for all who are in need of healing, especially Elaine and my mom Theresa whose health is not at its best at the moment.  Your Word tells us in the book of Isaiah that " they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength..."  Father renew the strength of these servants of Yours and make them whole again.  Let Your healing hands touch them and bring complete healing in their bodies and souls.

Father I pray for my family and I thank You for the work you are doing in my son Hubert and his family.  I know with You all things are possible and I refuse to give up on their salvation.  Father I bring Fred and Ellie my daughter to Your  Throne of grace and ask You to favour them with decent jobs.  I know Your plans for them are for the good and in due course You will favour them with jobs according to Your will. I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

Thank You for all answered prayers.

Plan for Prayer

“If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” (John 15:7)

Prayer pursues joy in fellowship with Jesus and in the power to share his life with others.

And prayer pursues God’s glory by treating him as the inexhaustible reservoir of hope and help. In prayer, we admit our poverty and God’s prosperity, our bankruptcy and his bounty, our misery and his mercy.

Therefore, prayer highly exalts and glorifies God precisely by pursuing everything we long for in him, and not in ourselves. “Ask, and you will receive . . . that the Father may be glorified in the Son and . . . that your joy may be full.” Unless I’m badly mistaken, one of the main reasons so many of God’s children don’t have a significant life of prayer is not so much that we don’t want to, but that we don’t plan to.

If you want to take a four-week vacation, you don’t just get up one summer morning and say, “Hey, let’s go today!” You won’t have anything ready. You won’t know where to go. Nothing has been planned.

But that is how many of us treat prayer. We get up day after day and realize that significant times of prayer should be a part of our life, but nothing’s ever ready.

We don’t know where to go. Nothing has been planned. No time. No place. No procedure. And we all know that the opposite of planning is not a wonderful flow of deep, spontaneous experiences in prayer. The opposite of planning is the rut.

If you don’t plan a vacation, you will probably stay home and watch TV. The natural, unplanned flow of spiritual life sinks to the lowest ebb of vitality. There is a race to be run and a fight to be fought. If you want renewal in your life of prayer, you must plan to see it.

Therefore, my simple exhortation is this: Let us take time this very day to rethink our priorities and how prayer fits in. Make some new resolve. Try some new venture with God. Set a time. Set a place. Choose a portion of Scripture to guide you.

Don’t be tyrannized by the press of busy days. We all need midcourse corrections. Make this a day of turning to prayer — for the glory of God and for the fullness of your joy.

Many of us need to read this. I know I need to read it again.
